Alll over the western workd since 9/11 racial profiling has started because they realise that it lowers the risk of succesfull hijacking and it works. Now Israel a country with a terrorist problem carried out mainly by arabs and its dropping the racial profiling for the sake of politcal correctness and a desire to show the arabs how much it cares about them. It is a simple fact that arabs are a high risk group and trying to be nice to them by abandoning arab racial profiling wont change that. Will this proove to be another Olmert blunder because I dont want to be on the plane that gets hijacked because he wants to be nice to arabs.

As an American every time I travel home Aim also treated different in American airports for having an Israeli passport.. The there is a reasons for different scrutiny profiles. Every airport in the Western world double checks people who remotely seem Arabic. Swedes didn't blow up the World Trade Center !!! This makes me wonder about the future safety of flying in and out of Israel.

Countries like the US looked to Israel and the security measures that were in place at Ben Gurion airprot and they saw how good saftey was so in other airports around the world so they adopted some of these measures. Now Israel which is the model the rest of the world wanted to follow is abandoning it .. maybe Olmert is hoping that airport security can be provided by US millitary aid if Israel adopts the less secure system that existed in the US before 9/11/

The shoe bomber first tried to blow himself up on a flight from Israel but he was suspected by an alert airport security agent and they assigned a marshall to sit right next to him during the entire flight. my plane from paris to israel , unfortionatly ( EL AL ) was delayed 45 minuets because of the so called stuiped security check they conducted on me , the took out every little peace out of my bags and made a mess in them without me even being in the room where they where checking the bags , and they also interogated me like i was ossama ben ladden or saddam huseen , for more than 2 hours , even thought i have a clean record in israel and without any problems what so ever , and that caused me never to fly elal again , and i must say i travel to europe 5 times a year with my wife and 2 children which comes to a total of over 10 thousand dollers a year in flights only , and now i travel to jordan first and fly from amman where i get the respect i deserve , unlike the bengurion airport .....
