32. #24 Rami-You say Airport Security same as Hamas Terrorist???
You accuse Israeli airport security of hatred. Security checks are not acts of hate - they are ACTS of LOVE.
Regardless of race or religion, being checked out can be humiliating for anyone - the bottom line is it SAVES the lives of everyone aboard the plane!
How can you state there is no difference between airport security who SAVE lives and Hamas terrorists who commit atrocities and mass MURDER?

33. Ben Gurion
Give me a break! I travel to and from Israel for business, alot. Last year I spent 153 days in Israel for service work. This translates to about 20 trips through Ben Gurion. The security personnel are polite but they do their job well. I have travelled out of Israel with a Security pass and without one. When I have one, no problem. Security is a breeze. When I don't have a security pass well, let's face it, I spend a long time answering questions and having my stuff rifled through. I find it highly unlikely that the Arab Iraelies have had treatment that is any more "in depth." Considering the target which is Israel, anyone who is not a Jewish Israeli should plan for more time at check in and more importantly grow a thicker skin. Is spending two hours in security fun? No. Is is necessary sometimes for the good of the rest of your fellow passengers? Absolutely!

What Rami says is , that if security personnel shows a blind hatred towards Israeli Arabs , they are not better than hamas . Exagerated of course , but hatred is hatred . If you did read his other tb's , you will see that Rami is far from being an extremist .

A fine first step you wrote , you probably never fly from or to BG airport . I prefer a serious control , even if it is a little bit or more discriminatory towards people with a wrong look , than to have an insecure feeling . Let those people do their JOB , fully checking those who can represent a danger . They have to do it on a civilised and polite manner , and generally they do it so . I have seen other ways of behaviour towards people with a "wrong" colour .
Sadly , if you would fly , they don't know you , with your anti Israeli views you certainly represent a bigger threat than many Israeli Arabs .

36. Ben Gurion Security
I have a Druze friend, who served in the Israeli army the 3 compulsary years and does reserve duty, he loves Israel that most of the Israel Jews who wish to leave, but he is treated horribly at the airport because he is not a Jew. I think that Israel's sophisticated computer system should know that he is a Druze by punching in his ID number and treat him with dignity.
