1. intolerance/ Jesus denial
(02.25.07)
Denying/attempting to disprove the main tenant of Christianity as a PR spin? Why is it that anti-Christian blasphemy such as this is discussed in a casual way?
2. ELVIS HAS BEEN DISCOVERED TO BE ALIVE WITH BOB MARLEY
MAYBE THEY FED HIM ,   VIAGRA AND HE'S BACK   (02.25.07)
3. #1 No one is deying Christianity or it's tenants here
malcolm   (02.25.07)
There is a factual issue at hand. That issue is whether or not a particular cave contains the remains of Jesus and his family or not. Wouldn't you prefer to know the exact location of Jesus' burial site? If I were Christian I would prefer to know the truth definitively so I could visit the correct cave. Otherwise anyone can point to any cave and say "that's where Jesus and his family is buried", hang outside and charge admission. Now THAT would be an act of greed and cruelty and is exactly what the professor says is happening...a filmmaker getting people to line up and pay for a possible illusion. Jesus' life and death aren't the illusion, but the exact burial site might be.
4. Tenants!$#?
Mordy ,   Lisbon, Portugal   (02.25.07)
Tenets is the word you are looking for.
5. I am denying the tenets of it.
Elimenachem ,   NY   (02.25.07)
It has no purpose except to punish Jews, I suspect we should have been nicer or maybe everyone should think what evil can come from the Loshon HaRa of apostates.
6. Lies---Lies
rodonna ,   loveland   (02.25.07)
....and they found Moshe's tomb in Egypt!!??
7. Ah, where did they get Jesus's dna from?

8. The grave
cj ,   usa   (02.25.07)
unless Hashem has personally come down and given this guy the dna of the "Spoken Word", don't even get upset over this, nor waste your time watching it,
9. not only archeologists
(02.25.07)
if Jesus himself comes to life in Israel they certainly will deny . Why should they acknowledge this now. After all, that discovery was 30 years back before the first "peace" treaty with non-jewish, non-israeli !
10. I think
(02.25.07)
what it means the remains of Jesus ??? any Christian believer would not axept this because Jesus went back to God and his body was not found later in the cave ... so which remains you mean ... or is it a new Jew trick to try to prove that Jesus was a normal human .... we know you try this all the time .... can be the remains of the holy family yes but not Jesus .
11. lies and lies
Ramallah ,   ramallah   (02.25.07)
this kind of lies should be noticed and prevented. Hype for nothing just for media bluff
12. We know who it's not.
steve ,   usa   (02.25.07)
We know it's not the false and hate filled entity claiming to be god known as allah, not of his so called servant mohammed, who if all of his spritual power was rolled up into a ball, he would'nt have had enogh power to blow his nose much less asscend into heaven.!! So for sure we can exclude these 2 morons!!!!
13. You are correct #10
Renee ,   American   (02.25.07)
The reason this would upset Christians is that the very foundation for Christianity rests in the fact that Jesus was raised from the grave, and His body is no longer there. Without His resurrection, there is no basis for Christianity. $o thi$ i$ a huge claim by the$e film maker$. Whether or not Jesus was raised from the dead is a topic that is worthy of discussion for many. But I've gotta wonder at the timing of this right now. With anti-semites gaining ground on this planet, the Jews would be wise to drop this topic for now. Of cour$e, all we need do i$ read between the line$ to $ee what the motivation behind thi$ film i$.
14. #10 they did it before
(02.25.07)
digged a tunnel to snatch Muhammad's body from his grave in Medina but the plot with not completed.
15. Rodonna Loveland - Didnt you mean Jordan?

19. The historicity of Jesus
Christian ,   Sweden   (02.25.07)
I have nothing more to say about the cave in Talpiot and the alleged remains of Jesus of Nazareth. After 2000 years archaeology cannot prove or disprove the resurrection of Jesus. This is a dead end :-) But I have something to say about the historical Jesus. The historicity of him is a well-known and accepted fact among scholars, not only Christian but also Jewish scholars. Let it suffice here to mention the names of Joseph Klausner, David Flusser, Geza Vermes, Paula Fredriksen and Martin Buber. Vermes says in his book, Jesus the Jew, in a postscript this about Jesus: “Everything combines, when approached from the viewpoint of a study of first-century AD Galilee, or of charismatic Judaism …to place him in the venerable company of the Devout, the ancient Hasidim... The positive and constant testimony of the earliest Gospel tradition, considered against its natural background of first-century Galilean charismatic religion, leads not to a Jesus as unrecognizable within the framework of Judaism as by the standard of his own verifiable words and intentions, but to another figure: Jesus the just man, the zaddik, Jesus the helper and healer, Jesus the teacher and leader, venerated by his intimates and less committed admirers alike as prophet, lord and son of God.”
20. The historicity of Jesus
Christian ,   Sweden   (02.25.07)
David Flusser says in his biography of Jesus from 1997, Jerusalem: “The main purpose of this book is to show that it is possible to write the story of Jesus’ life…With the exception of the historian Josephus Flavius and possibly St.Paul, however, Jesus is the one Jew of post-Old Testament times about whom we know most.” The eminent American Jewish scholar Paula Fredriksen has written “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”, with the subtitle”A Jewish life and the emergence of Christianity”. The book won the National Jewish Book Award. Read it! And Martin Buber writes in “Two types of Faith”: “I am more certain than ever that a great place belongs to (Jesus) in Israel’s’ history of faith…”
21. jesus remains
Tim O ,   Tulare California   (02.26.07)
even if it is the cave were jesus was buried you will not find his remains. he raised from the dead and is alive and will be returning fo rthose who believe in him
22. How we call this ?
(02.26.07)
shall we do like you do all the time with accusing the others with anti-simitism and we accuse you with anti-Christianity .... ok .. you are anti-Chritianity but you don't announce it because of your interest with the west and you are anti-Islam and this you announce it from time to time and you are anti-everything not Jew and this we all knows it ..... you see ... you are like an open book .
23. We don't deny the historical Jew
שילוה ,   ישראל   (02.26.07)
We fully deny what xtianity made a Torah observant Jew into!! Why don't xtians do some study themselves instead of whining that we are against him. I can assure xtians that we know him better then you ever will. Wait, doesn't it say in the new test book that jebus say's 'go away from me for I never knew you' Even he will reject xtians according to their own replacement theology book. Why is Esav judged? Esav is xtianity and who would be the one to do it? Think real hard and you might put the two together.
24. Jesus' family....
Chad ,   Mesa, AZ USA   (02.26.07)
Do you think for a moment that they would jeopardize the worlds opinions of him and his teachings, especially that of his resurrection, by placing him in a tomb with other people, especially that of his own family? Do you think that if they were smart enough to propagate his message to the entire world, that they would be stupid enough to put the supposed body of Christ in the tomb with them? Do you think that Grandpa Joseph said "just throw his in the back where nobody will see it...they will be so excited to find Mary's body that they'll never recognize Jesus'." Come on now. I hope that the Christian world is wearing their shield of Faith. "he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him" Prov 30:5
25. Oy gevalt, here we go again!
Michael Steiner   (02.26.07)
Can someone prove beyond reasonable doubt that--regardless of where his skeleton is supposed to be--this putative "jesus" ever existed in the first place??? And no, quotes from MMLJ, Romans Grecians and whatever is NOT evidence.
26. Kloner jealous because he can't claim credit
Yacov ,   Ashkelon   (02.26.07)
Kloner's professional jealousy is showing. He can't claim credit for the find so is trying to discredit those who can.
27. #21 TIM..HOW DO YOU KNOW HE RAISED? YOU DONT..NO WITNESSES..
FRAUDULENT RELIGION ,   ..............DACON9   (02.26.07)
28. I hope it is.
Josh   (02.26.07)
Jesus was a man who recieved his power from a spirit that fell from heaven. If he were a god, he would still be alive. Fact is this shows he is mearly mortal and was not sacraficed on any alter. Thus choose life or choose death has a picture. G-d has reigned and there shall be no other gods before him. Read Deut/Devareem 13 and you will find who Jesus is and how he fullfilled the prophecy by coming to test, burn chaff and collect fallen (sinners) Jews as a fisherman of men. Read your text and understand what you really have.
29. responds to #27
jan ,   usa   (02.26.07)
Fair enough, but then let me ask you this question. Let's say that your mom passed away and you believe she's in heaven. How do you know that for sure. Have you ever seen her name written in the Lambs Book of Life? Did you see her go? Were there any witness that saw her leave?
30. 25 What do you want? Pictures?
(02.26.07)
Maybe you can show proof beyond reasonable doubt that Moses or King Solomon existed. Or maybe Rabbi Akiva or Alexander the Great while you're at it. Your empty post-modern thinking showeth.
