1. Just like Haman - the wicked one!
Lemmings Hotline ,   s d usa   (03.01.07)
2. May be ?
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (03.01.07)
May because Mahmoud grew up in a blacksmith environment he wants to be caught now in btween the hammer and the anvil ? Like all the dictators past...and to come, this man is a sick person. Low self esteem brings often destruction....regardless if voluntary or unvolontary. Mahmoud has not made the difference between "inspiration by God " and the reality of the 21st century....and the fact that he holds a diploma in Traffic engineering does not mean that he is able to "manage the traffic of political thoughts" not even his own, if he has any. The next few weeks will be interesting. This man has done much faster than his masters in uniting the world against him. It took old Adolf from 1933 to 1939...It took Mhmoud just a couple of years....

The crescendo of demands for Ahmedinejad to go are getting louder and louder from every quarter inside and outside Iran. Is anyone in the Goverment in Iran listening! A veritable walking disaster for the region, for Iran and the world. To watch him ranting and raving does no justice to Iran. Its quite pathetic and to Iranians even embarrasing. A M G Ahmedijenad M G Ahmedijenad MUST GO Ahmedijenad M U S T G O!
4. IT MAYBE TRUE BUT
john ,   nz   (03.01.07)
ahmedijerk SHOULD BELONG TO A LUNATIC ASYLUM

mahdi ,   tehran   (03.01.07)
you have no idea what you are talking about, Iran was already under international pressure to halt enrichment under Khatami, the most moderate senior Iranian politician after the revolution. Iran has expanded her influence within the region and there is no such thing as a Sunni alliance or a possible Sunni cooperation with Israel, even though Arabs generally hate Persians. However you are right that Ahmadinejad's rhetoric has created much international support for israel and caused much trouble for Iran. Today it is very naive to assume the overthrow of the Iranian govt. as Iran has consolidated her position enough to ensure her political and ideological existence and infrastructure, what the world is trying today is simply to curb Persian influence and I doubt it will succeed.
6. Iran
Mark ,   UK   (03.01.07)
This is all wishful thinking. Israel is fading away fast. Bad news on the way. Sorry
7. i agree with number 5
andy cohen ,   ny   (03.01.07)
its certainly true that Ahmadinejad's rhetoric is costing Iran exorbitantly, but to assume that it may cost Iran with her political existence is no more than a hopefull wish. If one takes account of the political structure of Iran, they could observe possibly the most democratic nation in the region, there exists however a fiery revolutionary spirit in Iran which given enough time could transform into a much more moderate country. The problem is that the US and her allies have not understood Iran and this misunderstanding could become very costly if this policy of aggression is pursued
8. Double Ahmadinejad under the table fees
Guido ,   Milano Italy   (03.01.07)
Whatever secret fees Ahmadinejad is getting from Israel, please double it: he is doing a marvellous job. Bravo Ahmadejinejad!
9. Hullo Mark 6.
Cy ,   Reading, Berks, UK   (03.01.07)
Mark Your comments betray just how little you know about Iran and more specifically Ahmadinejad. If I had time I could describe to you his catalogue of disasters both home and abroad in his short disastrous term as President. Your flippant comments show just how little you know about how much damage that dimwit is doing to Iran at home and abroad. He has painted Iran into a corner with his rhetoric undermining the efforts of so many other people in Iran who want to seek a peaceful resolution.
10. Don't be optimisitic
Esteban ,   Buenos As Argentina   (03.01.07)
You are to optimistic....This guys is no good for the world, whatever he says or thinks, unfortunatelly he will be able to cause trouble...HE must be eliminated.
11. Don't Delude Yourself
David ,   Marietta USA   (03.01.07)
This man, that country, that government is a grave danger to the existance of the State of Israel. Egypt and Syria could inflict major injury to Israel but not end its existance. The Iraqi army was the only land threat to the State of Israel, and that threat no longer exists. Iran will have the nuclear capability and the technology to deliver a lethal blow to the Jewish state, in fairly short order. Pretending and wishing the treat would just go away is how America deals with its foreign problems these days. It should not be the way Israel deals with its.
12. Excellent analysis
Joe ,   USA   (03.01.07)
......Maybe he is even an agent of the Mosad ?
13. This man IS a phenomena
Damir ,   Russia   (03.01.07)
Definitely don't know whom to compare him to. Maybe Castro? But he managed for a quite fifty year so long. He definitely won himself a place in a Jewish folklore. 'Hayo haya Ahmadinejad rasha...'
14. Ah- Mutually-Assured-Destruction-inejad
Harry   (03.01.07)
We should have realised when he came to power that this individual needed to be kept away from Nuclear Weapons.
15. But the European public are in favor of Iran because
(03.01.07)
of his anti-Jewish behavior, ambitions and threat to the existence of Israel. They are misguided fools. And Israeli Hasbara is dysfunctional.
16. Hitler's rethoric put Germany under a lot of pressure to
Daniel ,   Formerly Israel   (03.01.07)
pressure which it alliviated by destroying all but two of the countries that had been pressuring it.
17. Wishful Thinking
Alex ,   Toronto,Canada   (03.01.07)
Ahmadinejad may be a crazy bastard but he is not stupid. He follows the scenario written by North Korea knowing that U.S. is not in a position to start another war. He knows that if you scare Europe enough they will back off and co-operate. France may be for sanctions now but it will never do anything to enforce it. Russia will support anybody who challenges U.S. So will China. Syria may be apprehesive of Iran's growing influence in the region but it continues to arm shiite militias. And internal descent within Iran does not carry much weight. Israel will have to deal with this problem herself.
18. IF HE IS YOU BLEW IT !!!
Me ,   promised land   (03.01.07)
Too damn smart for his own good.
19. U.S. TOOK IRAQ IN DAYS WILL IRAN ALSO
OPTIMISTIC ,   PROMISED LAND   (03.01.07)
HELLO PEOPLE THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND IRAN.THE ONLY REASON IT'S AROUND NOW IS NATO AND U.N. AND GENEVA CONVENTION PROTECTS THERE LITTLE COUNTRY THAT DOES NOT WANT TO COINCIDE WITH THE REST OF HUMANITY. TRUE MUSLIMS WILL LIVE BY THE SWORD AND DIE BY IT ALSO.
20. Ahmadinejad, our secret agent in Iran
Saam ,   Australia   (03.02.07)
You tried your best to come across as a light shedding analyst on the Iran and Ahmadinejad matter hoping that it will ultimately surprises people and buys support for you. Unfortunately your piece turned out very out of place and ridiculous. It makes you think if the publisher actually misplaced this article here instead of the satire section.
21. to 6 and 9 and 17
kawkab ,   gaza   (03.02.07)
may be ,you are right ..do you know why ... becouse the problem is in israil .. it is not in iran or the middle east or the usa or even here in gaza or china or rusia ... becouse any all these are on a solid land if they fall .they will arise again or at least the land will still solid under thier feet ... but israil is walking on eggs .. do you know how to walk on eggs any further step may let you slip to [almajhool] it is in arabic becouse i do not find the english word .. salam to israil
22. Good grief!
Elad Lending ,   Israel   (03.02.07)
Wake up, all you back-talkers! The article is a satire! The author is writing "tongue-in-cheek." Of course he doesn't really think that Achmanejad is an Israeli agent. Do you need to see emoticons in the text in order to identify sarcasm?
23. # 20 to Saam: if you just had a little sense of humour!
Guido ,   Milano Italy   (03.02.07)
To this one Saam and to all the Saams of the world: how better we will all be if you had a minimum sense of humour.
24. He may be...
Hassan Agha ,   Portland USA   (03.02.07)
He may be doing all those, but he is telling you the TRUTH.
25. Secret agent
mike ,   Los angeles,Ca   (03.02.07)
That souds so interesting. I like to ask the goverment of Israel to please take him back and retire his ass from secret service and keep him there. we dont want him in Iran we never wanted him. Next time, please make sure your agents shave and get a makeover before sending them to another country. Thanking yo in advance.
26. Ahmadinezad
ALbert Hakim ,   San Francisco U.S.A   (03.03.07)
Wishful thinking Guy! Iran will acquire the Nukes and she will end Israel's monopoly. Mark my words... I am a proud nationalist Iranian Jew ashamed of atrocities committed under my religion by your country... Iran will balance Israel's power. It is just a matter of time. U.S has lost all credibility my freind.
27. to 7!!!
tom ,   israel   (03.03.07)
you navie becuse if you think that you will be safe when iran aquire nuclear capability!!! I am suggest you to read books about the fanatic's ideology of these people!, let me remind you something once upon a time it was a leader that wants yo occupy all the world, first he satarted by annexations and after it by wars, do you know what is the conclusion of it? blindness gets much terrible results than steadfast. read brenard luis, he is the best expert.
28. Mistaken about Syria
Edan ,   Israel   (03.03.07)
The Syrian regime is ruled by the Allawites, a minority who are considered Shia. There is no "rift" between Syria and Iran. Only wishful thinking.
29. A world full of double standards
MO ,   Tehran   (03.04.07)
I am sure the zionists that running Israel would be very happy if my country is attacked. Funny that we cant enrich uranium for peaceful purposes but Israel was allowed (and even helped) to make Nuclear weapons undercover and even today nobody questions Israel about its 400+ nukes. Maybe if Iran had lost a few million people in a genocide then we could have waved the "OH but we lost 6million people" flag and be allowed to get away with whatever it wants.
30. Iran
Dave ,   Milwaukee, USA   (03.04.07)
Well, thats great I had not seen it in such an optimistic light. I am admittedly a cynic and a doom and gloom type. Maybe its the cliche where you see the glass half full, I see it half empty. We have a popular TV show in the US about terroists expoding suitcase nuclear bombs, dirty bombs in US cities. Seems very plausible to me, but equally or moreso for Iran to do that Israel. I worry about you guys. I wonder if people who might be able to do anything about it are working on it.
