While I find the Bishop's remarks insensitive and false, there are no concrete or direct comparison between Israel and the Nazis, in the sentense quoted. I think it is important, if you want people to take you seriously, to stick to the words spoken, rather than to speculate and add further symbolic value to concrete sentenses.

Could you explain, exactly, how would the withdrawal to pre-1967 borders solve the security situation in Israel and the viability of Palestinians on the other side? A few, however, might begin to look more critically at what has been happening in the Territories for the last 40 years. Anyone who compares a guard at an Israeli mall/restaurant with an IDF checkpoint in the *middle* of the West Bank speaks out of ignorance. Anyone who says that you can't see the Wall (the concrete "fence") that divides Palestinian neighborhoods from their hospitals, schools and jobs in East Jerusalem obviously hasn't been to that part of town. Build the barrier between Israel & the West Bank, pull the troops/settlers out of the Territories (put them at checkpoints *into* Israel, not at the entrance to Palestinan villages and have them bomb any Palestinan terror threat), and I think you will find Israel's global poll numbers wil pass Iran's. I would also guess that any likening of Israeli policies to those of Nazi Germany or Apartheid South Africa will cease. And if they don't, then at least we will now that they are in fact motivated by anti-Semitism.
