I should just copy this statement and keep it on my desk top...I have said this over and over.. Israeli officials have no concept of descretion or statemanship... Hizbullah: Started an inprovoked war. Murdered and kidnapped Israeli soldiers for no reason. Sent hundreds of missles into Israeli civilian populations to maim, murder and destroy lives. Hid behind civilian Lebanese populations showing absolutely no concern or compassion for people they intentionally put in harms way.

The concept of a wider response to a kidnapping would have made sense, but then it raises the harder question of why there were no contingencies to account for what would follow. The execution on the ground was not decisive enough. Not that Hizbulla won. Lebanon is in shambles and Kuntar is no closer to being released than before. Enough of the Lebanese are sick and tired of them and their acting as proxies for Iran so that Hizbolla will get their real comeuppance from within Lebanon. Until then let them gloat.
