33. Make the wall a tourist attraction like China.
Then charge the United Nations triple to watch the Palestinians build bombs to blow up innocent Jews.

35. #17 IGNORAMUS - DON'T WORRY WE'RE ON TO YOU
Yeah, the "best bits" on the other side of the wall were generally, as others have said, WORTHLESS SWAMPS and as you and your ignorant pals also ignore the fact that large tracts of land were SOLD TO THE JEWS. But why let facts get in the way of your own RACISM.

36. #33 it IS a terrorist attraction !
(03.10.07)
37. Sorry, but people's legs do not get broken by the peaceful
sitting down of protestors. Somebody among the protestors obviously got up and did something that wasn't so peaceful....
(03.10.07)
38. #15 I like what you wrote it is very honest
Yes, you can live without an "apartheid wall." Pressure your leaders to commit to stopping terrorist attacks in Israel. That is the only way to solve the problem.
Hello from ,   USA   (03.10.07)
39. #29 Hani: your attitude is why there needs to be a fence
and there's NOTHING you can do about it, except more of the same violent tactics that get you Arabs NOWHERE. Time to try something new, like compromising, negotiating, diplomacy, peaceful demonstrations, you know---the things that create lasting change for the better. More violence=more violence=more violence=more violence etc etc etc.

41. do you think protestors want the destruction of Israel ?
No, you fear that next to taking the wall down, protesters will demand end of the occupation. Your tactics is obviously wrong, the wall will not strengthen the occupation.

42. #39 Blood is the price of freedom and liberty
Open any history book. I'd like to stress that political discourse is and should always on the table. However, the Palestinian reality is that both politics and violent resistance are necessary, unfortunately. PS. Remember Irgun, Hagana, Stern gang, Sin Fein, ANC in the 60s, etc.
Hani ,   Palestine   (03.10.07)
43. 42 - Israeli 'terrorists' vs. Palestinian terrorists
In your attempt to justify violence and bloodshed by Palestinians, you attempt to equate the suicide-bomb/jihadist approach with militant resistance of early Jewish leaders of the Irgun, Lechi, etc. I just wanted to clarify how disingenuous this is: Firstly, Begin is called a terrorist because of the King David bombing that left several British dead, including civilians. The difference between this bombing and those of the Palestinians (aside from it being the only one in which civilians were killed), is that it did not target civilians since a) it was targeting the hotel infrastructure itself, which held gov't/military offices and b) the irgun called the hotel ahead of time to warn that a bomb was going to go off and suggested that people evacuate. In other words, he tried to PREVENT civilian casualties. In contrast, suicide bombings and rocket attacks deliberately target civilians. A key distinction. Secondly, considered by far the most violent and extreme of Jewish resistance leaders, Shamir also focused his attacks on British soldiers, not civilians. More relevant to this comparison, his Lechi organization was BY FAR the smallest organization (only 26 members) and was marginalized by the other Jewish organizations BECAUSE they disagreed with the level of his encouragement of violence. In contrast, the Palestinians have massive participation in organizations with tactics FAR more barbaric than any Shamir implemented and, thus far, only Fatah's political wing has ever condemned them (not even Fatah's military wing condemned such attacks). Thirdly, both Begin and Shamir, once under attack, agreed to unite under the new-made IDF, even though it put them and their organizations in a relatively subordinate position, in order to prevent a civil war and to work towards a productive state. This indicates their TRUE intention of working towards a REAL AND PRODUCTIVE NATION, instead of prioritizing their own top-dog status over everything, as Hamas and Fatah do (the gunfighting has begun again, despite 'unity' talks). Fourth, 'violent' Begin was the hawkish man who was later part of the peace deal with Egypt, going back on his former 'no land concessions' stance and giving up the Sinai. Have any Palestinian extremists made a similar hawk to dove change? Not even close. Despite your claim that dialogue is still on the table for the Palestinians, the Hamas government still refuses to denounce terror or even acknowledege Israel's right to exist. The second that ANYONE from Hamas, Islamic Jihad or even the military wing of Fatah (who recently praised Al-Qaeda) shows even a remote move towards decrying suicide bombings, marginalizing extremists, placing internal unity over personal power or changing their no-negotiation stance, feel free to compare them to Begin and Shamir. Until that time, such a comparison is laughable: totally out of context and totally ignorant of history.

44. HANI I BEG TO DIFFER U R JUST PLAIN WRONG
NO PEOPLE HAVE EVER GOTTEN WHAT THEY WANTED UNTIL THEY ADOPTED A POLITICAL PROCESS AND COMMITTED TO IT BY UPHOLDING TREATIES THROUGH THEIR ACTIONS, NOT THEIR WORDS. IT IS U WHO NEEDS TO OPEN A HISTORY BOOK. THE TERROR GROUPS YOU MENTIONED OPERATED FOR AN INFINITESSIMAL PERIOD OF TIME COMPARED TO THE 60+ YEARS OF VIOLENCE PERPETRATED BY YOUR PEOPLE. THE "PALESTINIAN REALITY" IS THAT NOTHING POSITIVE HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED BECAUSE OF ATTITUDES LIKE YOURS AND LIFE IS AT AN ALL-TIME LOW FOR THOSE WHO ASPIRE TO ACHIEVE SELF-DETEMINATION AND STATEHOOD. WAKE UP AND WISE UP!
