UK, West Bank universities twinned    Yaakov Lappin
1. This is a sad day for England...
We already know that Palestinians are brainwashed freaks, but the British should be ashamed of this act and reverse their decision. Eurabia is falling into a trap that they will have a hard time climbing out of.

8. University Of Manchester Should NOT Give Permission To.
University of Manchester SHOULD demand from the al-Najah University Student Union that they CONDEMN the suicide-bombing actions done by the 19 Arab suicide bombers originating from the al-Najah University. Unless al-Najah University Student Union does it -- University of Manchester should NOT give permission to install a plaque at the university's campus entrance and thus "twinning" the 2 Universities.

11. #3 and #4...terror supporters!!!
#3, your country supports Israel and calls Palestinians(Hamas and fatah) terrorists all the time, so why do you live there??? #4, there is no occupation!!! your granparenst chose to leave Israel, while some of their friends chose to stay. They are now Arab-israelis with full citizenship to Isarel, so what the hell are you talking about? it is not Israel's fault that your parents and their parents were cowards!!! they had a choice just like your generation did, but as usual you turn down peace and use violence to get your ways. Your culture is the one that encourages terror, not ours. get that through your thick skull or you will perish like the rest of your terror loving scum.
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.19.07)

14. Wrong Info
1. The U of M still didn't twin with Najah. what happened is that the students union is supposed to ask the uni to do so. 2. It was not done to intimidate Jewish students. 3. Action Palestine is not a subsidiary of Respect. It is a student membership based groups for students from all affiliations who support justice in Palestine. 4. Previous attempts to twin with other universities were sabotaged by Jewish Society at uni. 5. Why don't you guys pay attention to your own universities and how arabs are treated there. 6. where on earth is objective journalism if the whole article is presenting the opposite side? 7. When you talk about terror, please remember why it starts!
Ned ,   Ramallah, oPt   (03.19.07)
15. what are you on about ?
the motion is merely a stance in solidarity with Palestinian students who are denied the right to education by the Israeli occupation. oppression creates suicide bombers not education. The action of some students in an najah university don’t justify denying them their basic rights.
Student ,   Manchester   (03.19.07)
16. to #4
So why don't you follow your friends to paradise? Oops, they ran out of virgins and only women are now accepted as bombers by the heroic leaders of Jihad and Hamas. I guess you will have to live, poor thing!!
(03.19.07)
17. Next step: partner with Israeli University
B"H On the Jewish side, partner with an Israeli Unversity that actually has great merit. Perhaps Hebrew University? If the administration rejects that for "security reasons" you know the viewpoint of the chiefs where you study, that they support terror against Israel. Make it all more clear. Stop being afraid of those who abet and comfort the the reenactment of murder of Jews.

malcolm   (03.20.07)
23. To #15: what are you talking about
You say: "[Palestinians are] denied the right to education by the Israeli occupation." No wonder people hate Israel! People are too stupid to actually stop and figure out that their slogans and statements are idiotic and completely illogical. Israel does not control the Palestinian's education system. In fact, they fashion it themselves. What's the matter? The university doesn't just specialize in the Protocols or the Blood Libel? Liberals like you never will know the truth of the conflict and just make up crazy crap that have no roots in reality. I guess universities in the world that offers sub-standard education can blame Israel. Why not? All you lefists/terrorists/neo-nazis do it anyway. Might as well scapegoat Jews for something new.
Mario ,   USA   (03.20.07)
24. England´s Karma
The English are only begining to reap the harvest from its legacy of global imperial oppression. Sadly, this once confident nation will soon begin to find itself a hostage to the sons and daughters of their former servants. Johnny Rotten was right, there is "no future for you!"
ClickDick ,   Londonistan, Eurabia   (03.20.07)
25. To No. 15
If your imbecilic assumption that "oppression causes suicide bombers" were true, why were there no suicide bombers among Jews in Nazi Germany or blacks under the apartheid regime in South Africa? How appalling that someone who claims to be a student can be so stunningly uneducated as to the real reasons why people become suicide bombers.
NYC Girl   (03.20.07)
26. #15 - Anti-semitic indoctrination creates homicide bombers
Please stop with your righteous eternal victimhood rhetoric. Palestinian media, education & religious indoctrination pulls no punches in its constant dehumanization of Jews & Israelis. The prevailing culture of death plaguing Palestinian society demeans Jews, Israelis, Christians, Palestinians, Arabs, Druze...everyone. By your logic, this alleged "oppression" justifies denying Israelies their LIVES. Sorry, Student, but what are YOU on about?? Moral equivalence is cowardly, vile & inhuman, and homicide bombing is NEVER justifiable, no matter what the perceived sleight.
Rubin Fiberglass ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.20.07)
27. very true #14
Action palestine has done nothing that can be interpreted by Jsoc as an attack, this just exposes that all the zionists have one aim which is to isolate the Palestinian people, as they all stand together to stop any one who is trying to stand up for the rights of the palestinian people, and all this terrorism crap is a lame excuse
Student ,   Manchester   (03.20.07)
28. Re:What are you on about?
Excuse me, were you in the Lunar Cafe when it was announced the motion had been passed? The amount of intimidation to Jewish students was disgusting. To suggest otherwise is totally unacceptable. This just shows the type of people who are proposing this motion and the general consensus of (but not everyone, cos some are plain naive) of the people supporting it. Sorry, but I believe in saving lives over the right to education, and twinning us with an establishment which lets in recruiters is ridiculous. You could twin with any Palestinian university, yet you choose the most extremist one. And if you really want to show solidarity, why not twin with a Palestinian AND Israeli university, since that is a lot more constructive.
another student ,   Manchester   (03.20.07)
29. support the twinning
I think that the twinning of Manchester University with al-Najah university is a great step! Palestinians are suffering from the curfews imposed on them and from the presence of the 'racist' wall. The twinning will at the very least, send a message of support to the Palestinians and hopefully lead to international denunciation of Israeli policies towards the Palestinians.
Aalia ,   manchester, UK   (03.20.07)
30. twinning stops terror!
Firstly the name of the group is "Action Palestine" get it right! secondly we are a group of independant students who believe in peace and justice in Palestine- made up of a wide range of studnts -not a subsidiary of respect! And I believe twinning will help to create hope for palestinian students to bring them away from terror! surely by showing palestinian students (at an najah) that there are ppl out there who care abt wht is happening to them this will help to reduce the isolation tht some students may feel. I know there are ppl on here who are going to attack wht we have done but nobody can deny the occupation by israel and its effects on the palestinian population especially students just read the motion for more info of the israeli closures of palestinian universities and the effects of the occupation on students. Why shudnt we twin?! theres only benefit in it for everyone except for the zionists out there who are going to pick at anthing anybody does to show tht the palestinian ppl are human and like every other human deserve their human rights! man uni students will learn abt the situation of palestinan students and their struggle for education whilst palestinian students will gain hope tht not all westerners are like bush and blair! and tht we actully cae abt t injustices happening to thm! if this isnt a positive step towards removing the feelings tht lead tothe creation of suicide bombers then im sure bombing their universities isnt the answer either!! twinning is positive- only zionists would like to have u think otherwise!
