1. Clean? Did he say Likud is "clean"???
JPS ,   Efrat, Israel   (03.22.07)
And where did Tsahi Hanegbi, Ariel Sharon, Omri Sharon, Ehud Olmert, Yehiel Hazan, Naomi Blumenthal and Yisrael Katz come from? From Likud. Hmmm.... far from being clean, it could be that Likud is one of the larger (or at least more visible) muck generators. Is Bibi sure that he's got the dirt out? Somewhere along the line, the Likud got it in their heads that the sole purpose of being in power was to line their buddies' pockets with my tax money and give the high paying jobs to their cronies - not to people who could do the job best. Bibi would do far better to take on the task of cleaning up the Knesset first, and then going to the electorate to show us what he can do.
2. Likud, labor and Kadima are dead!!!
Dovid ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.22.07)
Likud, labor and Kadima are dead!!! Our only hope until MBY/MBD is Moshe Feiglin.
3. Bibi Natanyahu--
Ely Greenhut ,   Tzfat Israel   (03.22.07)
BIBI will make a great Prime Minister. There is no one else really qualified to be Prime Minister as Israel is going through it's worst problems since 1948. I do hope, however, he does not make the foolish mistake again as he did when he gave away parts of Israel when he was then Prime Minister.
4. Right on target
Brod ,   USA   (03.22.07)
Netanyahu is right on target on this matter. When leaders have reached their limitations, they need to step down to give way to more capable leaders. This is called taking responsibility. Strong, tough and brilliant leaders are needed to meet the demands of the masses. The interests of the nation comes first.
5. funny!!! how about bibi's wife shady deals??
marc ,   nyc   (03.22.07)
6. WONDER WHAT BIBI WILL GIVE AWAY

7. All the dirt and scum moved to Kadima?
Yacov ,   Ashkelon   (03.22.07)
8. VOTE BIBI!!!

9. New leadership is needed: Moshe Feiglin for PM
David H   (03.23.07)
10. Leadership, incompetence, and corruption
Phil ,   US   (03.23.07)
People get sidetracked over what is really important in their lives. Obviously, a government free of corruption is to be preferred over a corrupt government---all other things being equal. However, suppose a government is squeaky clean and incompetent? Would that be preferable to a leader, although a little bit of a rascal, was brilliant, had real leadership abilities and knew what to do in an emergency? Thus, Bibi's accusation of corruption, while obviously true, is not the main issue with the failed Olmert administration. Even if Olmert ran a totally clean government, he would have to be replaced because he does not have the ability to lead Israel in such perilous times. His appointment of Peretz as Defense Minister and his mishandling of the Lebanon War have been a disaster---especially with John Bolton's testimony that the US wanted Israel to destroy Hezbollah and would have allowed Israel the necessary latitude in tactics and time if the IDF was properly led. Bibi should have stressed competence because there is no doubt that he is most qualified of all the other possible Prime Ministers.
11. Bibi...
Meir ,   Arad   (03.23.07)
the biggest scumbag of them all. There is no difference between him and Peres, Olmert, Sharon or any other in the extreme left. Bibi has nothing to offer and a vote for him is national suicide. I am with Moshe Feiglin our only hope before we go over the cliff.
12. It's not so simple...the defense budget was cut
Logic ,   Israel   (03.23.07)
How can a candidate run on a security campaign and cut the defense budget at the same time?
13. Ahmadinijad
Malka ,   USA   (03.23.07)
In the last election, Israeli voters focused on social issues rather than national security. Israel now faces the worst danger in its history. The only question voters should be asking themselves is: Who is best to defend Israel against a nuclear-armed Ahmadinijad, Hamas and Hizbollah?
14. likud is clean???????????
sas ,   mevesseret   (03.23.07)
who legtimized corruption????????? bibi and his wife were/are superstars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!they paid for nothing. memories r too short here.
15. Likud a clean party
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot, Israel   (03.23.07)
What about Mr. Katz
16. Likud is the university for corruption
worried   (03.23.07)
Tell me he is not for real. The Likud is the institute of higher education for political corruption (not a very good one as most of its graduates get found out) Bibi this is just another of your pathetic fabrications, wake up and smell the coffee.
17. Mr. Clean
Merle ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.23.07)
Barely escaped an indictment himself just a few short years back. I just do not understand how this master of the Israeli Big Lie politics can continue to fool so many people so much of the time. But he cannot fool all the people all the time!
18. Bibi has my vote!
Avraham ,   Netivot   (03.23.07)
We need elections now!
19. Likud clean party
Henry Weil ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.23.07)
Sounds a bit premeture taking into account that former Minister Yisrael Katz is under invesigation, whatever the outcome he is certainly not a very attractive asset to any party. He predicted prior to the last election that even if the ""President of Tunisia was head of the Likud they would win the election. His rating in the party is low, and its appratchicks of this type that must hand out jobs to get elected, he seems to be joining an already impressive list of dubious MK''S
20. The Likud is clean?
Michael ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.23.07)
Yeah, right... and Achmadinejad is a closet Zionist... Bibi's only fear it that the Olmert government can hang on long enough for the people to remember how he favored big business and penalized single-income families, handicapped and the aged. Go back to selling used cars in Florida, Bibi!
21. The Bibster makes another folly
Ar   (03.23.07)
Instead of actually attacking issues and putting forth a viable alternative to the electorate, Bibi prefers to grandstand and make claims like 'we are the cleanest party' Unfortunately, when you make statements like that, they bite you in the tucass. That's like going around saying how intelligent you are, its an arrogant and easily disproven point. Classifying yourself as the opposite of who is in power isn't a platform, its childish. Likud needs to tell me what they plan to do with the palestinians, Iran, the economy, the job market instead of making claims of cleansliness
22. Scary Thought.
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (03.23.07)
23. Take a look at the new Likud
Jim Bennett ,   Haifa   (03.23.07)
Benjamin Netanyahu has made enormous efforts over the last year to bring democracy to the Likud: he engineered the new primary election system for Knesset candidates, by taking the power away from the central committee and giving Likud's 125,000 registered members the right to select the Knesset list. Aluf Yossi Peled joined the party, along with a slew of other great Israelis. Netanyahu recruited new staff--from the hi-tech sector. Take a look at his blog: www.netanyahu.co.il Jim, Haifa
24. My apologies to Stan Laurel, Bibi=oligarchy
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (03.23.07)
Benyamin, foresake the Jews has no moral hope of redemeeming himself unless he he completes the complete expulsion of all non-Jews, who have a mytic claim on any land that protects you in eretz yisorel ha sheleama. He hates Jes in their land and removes them as a modus opporandi as his premis to exist until he does otherwise to remove all of those who usurp the land that protects you instead of what he has done to endanger all of you. Your poor Jews. With fiends like bibi, you might as well jump off a cliff.
25. The "cleanest party"?
Michael ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.23.07)
Am I the only one who sees the irony in the story directly following this one, "Police: Charge Likud MK with fraud"? I guess that does a lot to prove Bibi's lack of credibility, doesn't it?
26. Always hard to wash blood from hands.
JRS ,   USA   (03.23.07)
27. Netanyahu's Likud
Marilynn Barnat ,   Oroville, CA USA   (03.24.07)
Go Bibi!! Your the only leader there that has the stones to truly defend Israel as it should be defended!!!!
28. cleanliness
Michael ,   Haifa   (03.24.07)
The Likud is even cleaner than Gaydamak's laundry
