31. kulo from the uk is right
palistinian ,   usa   (03.28.07)
believe me he is right, we have to take what is rightfully is ours. the zionist will go back to 49 and then we have peace now after hizbulalh win the zionist canot go to war anymore and win
32. Just in case anyone is in doubt; . . .
Zaphod ,   Pluto   (03.28.07)
Israel does have the capability to actually completely obliterate all, or any, of the Arabic states - within one hour. One hour. Nobody (including the writer of this) wants such a scenario. But 'dem de facts'. And the Arabs actually know it too. So, the moral of this story is 'new day, same shit'.
33. Sounds like the US wants to wash its hands from Israel
Chris ,   Australia   (03.28.07)
No one wants to support Israels costs of "protecting herself" anymore. It seems like a resolution is being rushed to releif USA from the Israeli burden. With Hizbullah capable of showering Israel with rockets and Palestians replacing suicide bombings with Rockets, and an ever increasing presence of Al Qaeda. Not to mention Irans growing strength in the region. Israel finds itself in a new generation conflict, one where it can no longer offer itself as the zion land of the jews.
34. HEY STUPID SAUDI! ITS NOT A "PEACE PLAN"!
Scott   (03.28.07)
Who is this guy really? Goodness me, what a load of crap! Nobody in their right mind would even comtemplate what this drongo and his dopey friends have suggested. It just STUPID. If anyone is looking for war its the ARABS!!! (...er..they just might get one too :-) )
35. Arabs seeking to launch war while Olmert & Peretz in office
Norman   (03.28.07)
36. #33 Chris Australia
Avi ,   Israel   (03.28.07)
You might have some valid points, but from an Israeli point of view is that this situation can't go on like this for long time and also that it can't be solved in a peaceful way, this had been clear to us for long time. A new conlict will take place in our region, and we can see it coming, but this time we'll adjust borders and population and move and eliminate bad people on a biblical scale that achieving peace after that would be stait forward affair. Those of you that can't cant see the mother of all battle coming are not reading the situation correctly.
37. Arabs want to destroy Israel
John ,   London,UK   (03.28.07)
Saudis and Egyptians seem to have deserted Israel. Last years they were speaking of siding with Israel and were confident that Hamas could be forced to recognise Israel and make a permanent settlement. Now it appears that Arabs leaders are moving towards encouraging Hamas to take on Israel. They are clearly backing Hamas in its refusal to acknowledge the right of the Jewish State to exist. Arabs leaders are never heard telling Hamas to except existance of Israel. I think Israel is in deep trouble. Last years it lost the second Lebanon war against Hezbollah. Israel is politically and militarily very weak at the moment. Muslims world is desperate for an oppertunity to finish Israel once and for all. Iranian propsed a way out for Israel when they leaders made very surpising concession move to Israel. I think Israel can do itself a favour by listening to their peace proposal. Otherwise as Saudi FM warns, this time Israel will be history. Time for spin and delay tactics is over. This year 2007 is a year of war or peace. It is Israeli public's choice.
38. Sounds like a fair deal....Jews get their recognition
Larissa ,   Australia   (03.28.07)
And Palestinians get (part of their land back).... at least they havent asked for a withdrawal from all land occupied since 1948...just since 1967.
39. Typical Arab Bullying Strategy
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (03.28.07)
"Rejecting peace plan is like asking for war, says Saudis" Yup. This is how they do it: 1. Make a totally unreasonable offer, and then 2. Threaten violence/war if the offer is not accepted, and then 3. Appeal to the world and claim that you tried, but it was the Israelis who were stubborn ones and refused peace. We've seen this before, and here it is again. No one does this better than the Arabs. Only our naive and Mishigineer Left-Fleegleers believe the Arabs.
40. VERY GOOD STORY
Doc Holliday ,   Detroit   (03.28.07)
This is a excellent illusion of how the arab mind works. Offer the same thing for 40 years and keep saying it is a new idea. Then say if you don't except this proposal then you REALLY don't want peace. Hey why negotiate. Imagine you want to buy a car, the salesman says the car is 40K if you really want to buy this car you will pay 40K!! what would you say? Imagine yoy lose the war in 1967, oh wait they did lose the war!! Your playing poker, the other guy folds his hand with 3 no's....4 weeks later your playing poker with the same guy he tells you he didn't really want to fold his hand, and if he stayed in he could have won , so now he demands you pay up, or that proves you don't really want to play poker. Yea, right!!
41. Jews again have historic opportunity
Jimmy Carter ,   Plains, GA   (03.28.07)
In 1939, Hitler offered the Jews a wonderful and generous compromise: Walk into the ovens voluntarily or be herded in. The Jews refused to compromise! Here we have it again. The Jews can voluntarily walk into the Sea, or be pushed, And again, the Jews are being obnoxious and non-conciliatory!
42. Terrible as it may be, bring it on, better sooner than later
Uzi ,   Haifa   (03.28.07)
43. Saudi "peace plan" is demand for surrender
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.28.07)
The winners get to dictate the terms, not the freaking losers!

Bernard Ross ,   st. anns bay,jamaica   (03.28.07)
When the saudis play the pipes the jews better dance, or are they asking for war. time to start stockpiling the nukes, ot only Israel but all infidels.
50. Saudi Peace Plan
Abarbanel ,   New York, USA   (03.28.07)
Perhaps an appropriate reaction to the Saudi peace plan should be: 1. The Saudi's return Hejaz to its rightful owners, the Hashemites. 2. The Hashemites return to Mecca, their town of origin. 3. They return all lands earmarked by the League of Nations' Palestine Mandate to its rightful owners per that mandate, the State of Israel. 4. They take their population with them to Hejaz, where their is plenty of room and oil money to resettle them all.
51. Rejecting peace plan is like asking for war, says Saudis
Andrew Field ,   London   (03.28.07)
Prince Saud al-Faisal says that making peace with Israel has never achieved anything. Really? Egypt and Jordan have both made peace with Israel, and lived peacefull side by side with Israel ever since. This Arab demand for peace is typical of the Arabs - accept our terms or else.
52. OH MY GOD! OLMERT WILL SIGN IT! HE'S A COWARD!
Israel   (03.28.07)
ISRAEL, WE ARE DOOMED! CRY OUT TO GOD NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!
53. FOR ISRAEL, ITS PURE SUICIDE! ACCEPT OR DIE!

54. Your government should talk,
Abdel ,   Nablus, Palestine   (03.28.07)
this is the time to talk....... genuine talks...enough slogans and BS, enough waiting, enough dead and blood spilled....for what? what is the end result of this? do we really want to stay in this kind of situation for ever? what do you want? what future do you want for your kids? ..... he was not threatening, he was being insightful.....the reality is that the more this goes on, the lesser the chances for peace become....both societies are slowly sinking into the darkness..more hate, more superstitions...ridiculous excuses for unbelievable violence and injustice...(god said..god said..god said)....thats the only stuff we hear? just look at the evangelical vultures on this website waiting for, and promoting Armageddon ...... where is common sense and logic? where are the people who have a brain on their shoulders? a military solution (without one side committing genocide) is not available for this conflict..... putting more suffocating life restrictions, and beating the hell out of the Palestinians will not make them a peace loving - democratic society, on the contrary, they sink more into darkness, and the possibility for ever achieving peace becomes even harder.....why is that so hard to understand? what are you waiting for? what are the Israeli intellectuals waiting for? where is the voice of reason ? what is happening ? you have all the keys for peace, you have the power, you have the military to secure you, you have a state, you have the opportunity for a decent - stable life, don't we deserve a life too? are we not humans also? ..... i guess some of you don't think we are........... both our people have proved that they could live together without problems..remember before the first intifada? i was a kid then but i know that it was good. and i know that we did not have this crazy hatred just for the sake of hatred....... wasn't that a better situation? give peace a chance, a couple of years of peace, and prosperity and this hatred will be a thing from the past... i guarantee that...will it be easy? NO, will it be uneventful?NO, there will be problems here and there ? of course , but eventually it will be good, and you will be all here in nablus buying goods for much cheaper that they are in tel-aviv,,,,, thats how it used to be... i know some idiots will respond with some hateful trash, and finger pointing..... but i hope you undertsand that i mean good by this ...... TALK , and lets bury this conflict before it buries us all ..... for the sake of our loved ones..... to be considered
55. Larissa, Australia, When are you withdrawing from any......
Chanan ,   USA   (03.28.07)
...........Aborigine occupied land? As a White settler in Australia you look in your own backyard before giving advise to others.
56. The Sheik reeks: empty rhetoric and threats
Ilan ,   Ariel   (03.28.07)
If they had been so anxious for peace they wouldn't have attached a "right of return" as a non-negotiable point. And are they threatening war themselves or do they think Mini Mo on a white horse will lead the charge? If Israel says no it is because it doesn't want to commit suicide.
57. Amusing
Avraham ,   NYC   (03.28.07)
This lazy sheikh is threatening Israel? Don't hold your breath - he will use "Palestinians" and other undesirables to wage war against the Jews while he'll be enjoying his oil riches. That's Saudi Arabia and its foreign policies for you...
58. Israel must respond.
Peter ,   Toronto. Canada   (03.28.07)
the truth is that Israel has an obligation to respond to such an offer. We rightly criticized Arafat for his lack of response to the offer made by Barak. instead he started an intifada. We have an obligation to respond. Put our own plan forward. Nothing is unilateral. Everything is a negotiation. Clearly there can be no right of return. That is obvious. But there could be "just solutions" to refugee issues. Face saving is important for all here. At the very least, Israel cannot be seen (as much of Europistan sees it) as the obstacle for peace. Make it clear that the Arab offer with a right of return in a wolf in sheeps clothing. Put an Israeli offer on the table and watch these Arab despots squirm when the ball is back in their court. Suddently his comment "we have done all we can" will seem absurd.
59. Peace with Jews? Better luck in walking on water
Wissam ,   Montreal   (03.28.07)
Who are these Arab politicians kidding? Jews and peace is an oxymoron, since they are HELL BENT on establishing Eretz Israel gradually, and so far their plan is unchecked since 1948 thanks to their American-sponsored greed.
60. #7 Gary is right
Carsten ,   DENMARK   (03.28.07)
Gary is so right - the Arab "proposal" is a joke. The Arab League is a joke and Israel shall never abide to the Arab demands. If doing so it will spell the end of Israel as a Jewish state - something that you or we can not allow to happen - nor accept! Stop the Arabs now!
