1. Why should Israel invade?
Y ,   N   (04.01.07)
Just stay outside the Gaza fence and shoot the palis who enter Israel. And if they attack Israel with rockets just send in the IAF. And please please please dont refer any of the pompeous declarations from the palis. Translate it to normal language and just give us the important part. It must be gruelling just to talk to these people.
2. graveyard????

COND RICE SEND MONEY ,   ..............DACON9   (04.01.07)
4. P.M. will give them more money
Marcel ,   Florida   (04.01.07)
So we all know what's happening except for the fools in power. Maybe if Olmert surrenders more land and gives the terrorist more money that they will surrender because of Jewish klndness and compassion. WHat happened to the Jews wo understood that there is no substitute for victory .you've forgotten about defeating your enemies and now settle in for another holocaust.. Whta is wrong with you ?
5. STOP HAMAS BEFORE IT TURNS TO HIZBULLAH.
TOM BENS ,   tx,usa   (04.01.07)
6. Haven I heard that rhetorical statement from Hamas b4?
john ,   nz   (04.01.07)
The end result is still the same. When IDF attack, they would hide behind their women and children.
7. HAMAS HAS NEVER EXPERIENCED THE FULL FURY OF ISRAEL AT WAR..
stude ham   (04.01.07)
The hamas leaders talk like fools. Too bad Israel is also being led by fools.

9. "Hamas Threatens Israel"
Adamush   (04.01.07)
This is headline news? Slow news day today? Fingers crossed for another juicy corruption scandal in Israeli politics.
10. act of war
griff ,   tacoma   (04.01.07)
i any other country/group in the world said those words it would be considered an act of war, i dont understand why this isnt regarded as such, saying that we will kill you seems to be pretty straight forward to me. another problem is that israel has lost most or even all of their great leaders, it seems as if sharon was the last one that actually was willing to do something. olmert shouldnt worry about what the world thinks, he should act on what is better for the israeli people and the jewish people. i really and truly do miss the good ole leaders of israel
11. It's better not to feel too smug
Tracy W   (04.01.07)
Gazans are changing tactics and upgrading their military equipment. Fighting them will be a lot harder for Israel in the future. They have a system of tunnels and modern weapons purchased with American and Israeli money. Short of carpet bombing without regard to civilians, it may turn out to be a very costly war for Israel. Is the illustrious Minister of Defense planning another Jewish evacuation or is he preparing for a two- or three- front war next time?
12. And in other late-breaking news...
shmulke ,   W Coast, USA   (04.01.07)
...the sun rose in the east this morning, revealing that the sky is blue.
13. at last!
Daniel ,   Israel   (04.01.07)
At last they have agreed they are well trained solders with weapons like any other army. Now the world cannot say Israel is using excessive forces.
14. If Hamas would do more than threatening
David E. ,   Jerusalem   (04.01.07)
PERHAPS our Israeli "leaders" will wake up. What foolish "leaders" we have.
15. HAMAS
Dudu ,   N. London, CAN   (04.01.07)
who forced your half dead Sharon to leave Gaza? Isn't it Hamas and its brave couragous men? Israel would think thousand times before deciding to face these men again :-)
16. Mukpatz
M. Martin ,   NYC/Tel-Aviv   (04.01.07)
It is to be expected that Hamas would try to retaliate and "turn Gaza into a graveyard" for Israeli soldiers if Israel mounted a large scale ground invasion of Gaza. That's why Israel needs to fry their behinds up from the air and get it over with quickly before Hamas can retailate. Period. End of Story. That's why air power exists.
17. Terrorist?
AR ,   USA   (04.01.07)
Israel calls people fighting in their own country against an invading occupying force terrorist. Israelis put down the pipe read a book stop with your ignorant comments and stop following your foolish leaders.

APRIL FOOL ..................
20. No invasion required...
Nachash Tsefah ,   Tel Aviv   (04.01.07)
Cut the water and power. Redefine rules of engagement that the border becomes a free-fire zone. Beyond that, IAF and artillery can handle any high-tracectory ballistic weapons (e.g. rockets) without a massive infantry invasion. Spec-ops units can be used to carry out pinpoint strikes and abductions in Gaza. The only problem - and this is a BIG problem - is the PR impact: Israel will be slaughtered on every TV screen and internet site. Mah la'asot?
21. i am with you brothers i am with you
rashid ,   palistinian usa   (04.01.07)

22. Hamas threats
dd   (04.01.07)
It is amazing how many "professional" advisors we have abroad. Each of them jumps to offer his/her "best millitary solution" to, otherwise, this real problem Israel has been facing from the Hezbollah-like terrorist suicidal group called Hamas. Have a quick look at today's New York Times just to get more insight: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/01/world/middleeast/01gaza.html? th&emc=th Although I respect free thought and speech, isn't it better to let the right people and the millitary to meet the threat the best way they know to ? Believe me fellow bloggers, this time is for keeps and the Hamas bandits know it, too. And ISRAEL WILL NEVER LOSE this one.
23. # 17: Take your own advice.
Michael ,   Raanana, Israel   (04.01.07)
Check it out: Jordan annexed the West Bank and Egypt did the same to Gaza back in 1950. The UN disallowed both, but the intent should be obvious-- Arab countries did not WANT an Arab Palestine in their midst any more than they wanted a Jewish one. Arab terrorism has been pointed at Jews all over the Middle East for more than a thousand years, and has nothing top do with Israel, per se, but with Muslim intolerance in general. Palestine was a land where Arabs would stay one, two, three generations and move on... the only real continuity of families over hundreds of years in Palestine were the Jews. Had the Arab governments allowed them to return to their homes of origin in the Arab states, there probably wouldn't be enough "Palestinians" to hold a soccer match. Even the UN knows that fully 1/3 of the "refugees" registered by UNWRA back in 1949 never moved one inch-- they were residents of the West Bank and Gaza. You might do some factual reading, including UN reports, rather than the propagandizing "literature" (more akin to fantasy than anything else) that the PA puts out.. Arafat's claim of a "thriving, vibrant Palestinian culture" is nothing but a blatant lie that idiots swallow whole.

Wanna play it hard then don't weep when couple of your "civillians" die
25. rashid#21, AR#17 & Dudu#15
Doc Holliday ,   Detroit   (04.01.07)
#21: spoken like a true coward I'm sure you want to come Israel after the fighting " take the land back brothers and i will be coming " Gee wiz that is big of you. #17: It is you AR who needs to get off the pipe and read your history book. Israel is. It doesn't need the approval of anyone. Just like 194 other countries in the UN many of who were formed by the same powers that restored Israel. #15: While your dreams may be soothing to you they are not reality. Israel left Gaza and the Pals proved they are not up to the task of running a small area of land let alone a Country. Also proving Israel right about the Phase plan that Arafat always talked about. The Pals launch daily rocket attacks from Gaza using human shields instead building decent housing for their people.
26. #21, Rashid, are you a real person?
DR ,   Florida, USA   (04.04.07)
I didn't think there were ridiculous people like you in this world, but sure enough, you proved me wrong. Your are a coward, hiding in the US ( a country which your people despise). Goo to Gaza and fight, be a man, not a coward!!! Accordig to you, Israel is weak, you should have no problem taking them down. Good luck!!!
27. hamas
