Talkbacks War probe seeks delay in publishing testimonies

Since the inception of the State of Israel the Governments of this country have managed to cover up their mistakes, errors of judgment and everything that they are accountable for bit invoking cersorship and hidinh behind the excuse that "disclose will dame the surcurity of the country". What the politicians mean is that it will damage their right to mislead the people of this country and so ensure re-election so that the same corrupt and coniving people can continue to rip of that country. Every citizen of the State of Israel KNOWS that we screwed up big time in the Second Lebanese War. Indeed, we do not need to know what ultra secret weapon was used or not used. We do not need to know what agents we have and where they are. What do need to know is why the Sharon Government closed its eyes to what was happening north of the border after the 2000 pull out. What we do need to know is how a non-military Prime Minister can be so incompentent that he allowed a trade union leader to be the Minister of Defense in war time. What we do need to know is why he did not consult with gernerals in his own coalltion and take their advice on how to persue the war. Israel has so much Americanisation but when it comes to war we allowed one man, the Chief of the General Staff, Liuetenet General Dan Halutz, to do as he pleased. In the USA they have the Joint Chiefs of Stsff headed by a chairman. Why don't we have some similar after all we love committes don't we? The bottom line is that the Prime Minister and his Government owe the people of this country and especially the families of the soldiers and civilians killed during the war and expanation as to why we screwed up. I suppose froman inflicted damage point of view, Israel did win the war however if you take into consideration the coverups and excuses we are hearing today then Mr. Olmert and his merry men and woman havbe lost the most important war, the awr of public opinion and trust!
