2. THEY WANT GAG LIFTED SO HE CAN PREPARE LYING DEFENSE
HIS BUDDIES IN THE KNESSET ARE TRYING TO HELP FIND OUT WHAT THE SHIN BET KNOWS SO THAT HE CAN DECIDE WHETHER IT'S SAFE TO RETURN OR NOT.
Ben ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.12.07)
3. Zahalka sounds like a slavic name
does his family have South European roots?
AK   (04.12.07)
4. we accept the rules applying to the State of Israel"
Zvi   (04.12.07)
5. Well, ACCEPT the rules applying to the State of Israel!
Don't visit enemy dictators!
Zvi   (04.12.07)
6. He has officially announced that he's running away ..
He was looking at a 4 year prison term for fraternizing with the enemy during times of war. Jordan was smart and didn't want him stirring up their Palestinian population. If he did anything for the Arabs when he was an MK it was to bring them grief. His only agenda was to attack Israel which paid his salary and more. He didn't do what he was paid or elected to do .. a loser !

7. removing the gag order won't help balad
it makes one wonder why, in face of these allegations, bishara so readily capitulates. apparently whatever it is he did, he knows will stick. if the charges were something bogus, why run away? one thing is for sure: his actions in response to these allegations are those of someone who knows he is guilty.

8. The Gospel according to Balad
"Bishara is being persecuted because of his political and ideological views, and because of his national and democratic opinions." Well then, I guess that if someone is arrested for committing armed robbery, they can claim "persecution" on those same grounds, that the state objects to his personal worldview about armed robbery. It seems that Bishara got busted doing something blatantly unlawful and he's just squealing in order to make it look like he's being done wrong. After all, he was such a fine, upstanding member of Israeli society who would never dream of doing anything remotely illegal (yeah right). Apparently the man has no shame.
