1/2 FOR MUSLIMS. THIS WOULD ONLY BE FAIR SINCE ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF piece AND WOULD NEVER ENFORCE THEIR religion ON OTHERS. THE jihood IS ONLY FOR FUN. LOVE MOSHE
4. Go Secularists
Korem ,   New York, USA   (04.14.07)
I've been to Turkey. As a secular Islamic country the people are more friendly and respectful (I told everyone I was born in Israel) than not just hardcore Islamist countries like Saudi Arabia, where I'd probably get killed on the street, but even more so than European countries like France or the UK. Heck some merchant guys tried to hit on me in Turkey. I hope Turkey stays the way it is right now and doesn't change, I support these secularists 100%

1.000.000 were able to be in the rally. imagine the rest; women, villagers and so on... seperating Turkiye is useless but WIPING the Islam could be great actually. Yeah I as a Turk have an Allergy to Islam.
7. You can't be a true Muslim and secular at the same time
Kevin G ,   Oregon, USA   (04.15.07)
The secular ones just call themselves Muslims because it's socially required to do so, but to be a true Muslim you have to follow Sharia law. That's just the way things are. The more enlightened Turks are city folk who have travelled and educated themselves. The great majority of Turks are conservative Muslims who would not hesitate to vote for their own brand of Taliban if they could. The question is for how long will the army remain secular. The way Islamism is taking off, it won't be long until it's fully infiltrated at the top. As far as joining Europe goes, the ever growing number of Muslim voters in Europe will demand it and the politicians will push for it, eventually, in ten to fifteen years, at the most.
