6. Is He Kidding? How Stupid Does He Think The People Are?
Adina kutnicki ,   US   (04.20.07)
While the war was indeed a failure as is the ENTIRE regime, Barak is NOT one to sling charges. He was the one who fled like a thief in the night from Lebanon. He was the one who almost gave away ! our patrimony to Arafat. Therefore, if I were him I would not be criticizing other officials, I would hide my own head in shame and not even come up for air!
7. Not like Olmrt/Livni the UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDERERS ....
malcolm   (04.20.07)
Israel needs leaders like Barak the UNCONDITIONAL RETREATER
8. Barak and experience
avraham ,   Vaughn, Canada   (04.20.07)
Barak is correct that israel is in danger with Olmert and Peretz. And its true that Barak would be better as defense minister in charge of war plans. But he has to explain why he didn't react harshly to the lynching of 2 Israeli soldiers in Ramallah and why he got taken in by Arafat? This is a huge problem. Why didn't he drive a harder bargain? Explain it, then he might restore his reputation.
9. It was a failure because of barak!
Ari   (04.20.07)
Amazing how much chutzpah this man ehud barak has. He unilaterally withdraws from lebanon, gives hezbollah control of the entire northern border and then he complains about a "lack of experience". How about a lack of intelligence? Does giving your enemies whole swaths of territory to use as a forward base to launch attacks against Israel count as lacking intelligence? Trust me, Peretz may be an idiot who doesnt know to take the caps off the binoculars but at least he didnt appease terrorism by giving into hezbollah like Barak did. Barak ran away from lebanon, strengthened hezbollah, and now is complaining about the consequences of HIS OWN LEGACY. now that's some outrageous chutzpah.
10. Olmert had good intentions?
Libneniyyeh ,   Lebanon   (04.20.07)
well, you know what they say about the road to hell.
11. #6 Adina, Well said!
Judy Y ,   LA   (04.20.07)
12. Barak means Experience in FAILURE
Yoni ,   Safed, Israel   (04.20.07)
you can't just fail. You need to fail with grace and poise, you need to have failed all your life to have experience in failing. This is what Barak means, that he himself has a life long trail of failures! He is one big experience in failure. And so if Israel wants to elect leaders who fail, they should vote for experienced failures!! LOL
13. Peretz FINALLY Gets Something Right
MK ,   Philadelphia USA   (04.20.07)
I'm glad to hear that Peretz is acknowledging that the unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon was a mistake. Does he admit the same about the even worse mistake of withdrawing from Gaza? Israel needs to dump Olamert, Peretz, and the rest of the Kadima morons as soon as possible.
14. If barak hadn't run, there would be no second Leb war.
AK   (04.20.07)
The man has no shame. I still wonder what he got his decorations for?
15. BARAK THE EXPERIENCED LEADER
HENRYK ,   RAMAT GAN/ISRAEL   (04.20.07)
SPECIALY FROM THE ONE THAT PLAYED LETS MAKE A DEAL WITH THE COUNTRY
16. Barak says Lebanon war a failure
Kemp ,   Nahariya   (04.20.07)
It was a failure but his statement that Israel needs "experienced leaders to guide them thru...." has two connotation ; the first that he is one such person-hardly-, the second, from his viewpoint, is that if Israel keeps "giving" we will get peace. It will happen, maybe, when we have given up the State and all Jews are dispersed
17. Barak is the great grandpa of Lebanese failures
Alan ,   SA   (04.20.07)
18. "labor's acheivements" ? there were none ! Peretz 1% support
redkmike ,   tel aviv and london   (04.20.07)
Pines-Paz and others are complaining that the Labor primaries are not getting sufficient attention from the press. The simple answer is that very few people are interested in who will win the primaries with the exception of a nationwide desire to get rid of Peretz. Sadly (I am not a Labor supporter but do believe in competition) there is no one contending for the leadership of the party that could bring Labor any additional votes in the upcoming elections. Voters in the primaries will simply be faced with the choice of choosing the best of a bad bunch.
19. Labour Party Is A Failure.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (04.20.07)
Look at the leaders, the failed policies, the incompetant economic policies. This is an argument between two losers - Peretz & Barak. How Barak could say the word "failure" without turning red shows what kind of a hypocrite he is, just an ambitious opportunist. And Peretz, well, what more can anyone say about him? These political jerks are so out of touch they don't even realize how ridiculous they sound.
20. Barak and Peretz--two disasters
RAY ,   USA   (04.20.07)
Barak Practically invited Hizballah to take over So.Lebanon when he betrayed our loyal friends in the SLA (and betrayed Israel) with his panicky withdrawal. Peretz hasn't a clew about the military (witness his blind look thru covered binoculars).Israel deserves better.
21. Ehud Barak's fault all the way!
D ,   Israel   (04.20.07)
Why does anyone let this idiot speak publicly?? His unilateral pullout from Lebanon started the whole second intifada. For a "supposed" master stratagist, how can Barak not understand the Arab mind. Of course we looked weak "running" away in 2000. Let us choose our leaders more carefully, get this Barak out of the Knesset once and for all.
22. Ayalon, Barak and Peretz
Itzik ,   Haifa   (04.20.07)
Let them fight. Now Ayalon said that the girl who spend 6 months in Jail after the Rabin "incident" was not gilty at all, according to Ayalon, and she was put in jail for "unknown" reason. Nobody believes this 3 guys and their Labor organization.
23. my child
fadia ,   jerusalem   (04.20.07)
the train was leaving .. it woulds not return to you .. .. sure you did not ran after it you stayed .wishing it would return // if you tried to run or shouted . you was slent no any activity // and the train always run forwords ,,no reverse // i know this fact from the childhood // but in this rapid technology evrything may be changed // but sure not to the benifit of failed experience // the earoplanes failed /even it had good experience before // /so we need newer tools and leaders also may be the deplomacy have a good opurtunity // no leader use it seriosly even this barak // may be rabin was serouse ,but he losted his life becouse he was serouse in peace making // i did not know // dead or comatosed can not give advises // but the living can do // without leading but to say // where barak was at the war /// the responsibility is for the all not only the one leading the goverment // where were the advisors // it is good for the governor to listen // and it is better to advise also if you are not on the top
24. failure
colin ,   israel   (04.20.07)
Barak must learn to shut up.He himself is the biggest failure. He is the cause of the lebenon war after running away with his tail between his legs.He failed as Prime minister as proved by the election.Barak failed in his personal life,He is divorsed.Barak is the failure and not the lebonon war.
25. Look who is talking!!! The traitor came out of his cave
Oleg ,   USA   (04.20.07)
Peretz is dumb, but he is right on this. Those left idiots are like matrjoshka dolls one is exactly the same as the other except size.
26. of course it was,,,what took sooo long admitting it.
