1. Time to Start a war for once...and deport the enemy!
(05.02.07)
2. Whoever Is A Fifth Column Should Worry
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (05.02.07)
The Arabs in Israel showed their own true subversive clolors when they mostly sided with Hizbullah during the war. How many of them fly PLO flags from their homes? How many of them consider themselves 'Palestinian' Arabs? The ones who truly want to enjoy the privilege of living in Israel as loyal citizens needn't fear. But the others better watch out. The Jews in Israel are fed up!
3. I've Got Nothing Against Arabs, Except...
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (05.02.07)
“The Jews will perceive the allegations as further proof that ‘some action must be taken against the Arabs’.” Our problem with the Arabs is that they don't want us, and they certainly don't want us here. We can get along - when we have the upper hand; but what would happen to us were the situation reversed? This is our fear. We don't trust them. They don't make peace with us because they like us, but because they are afraid of us. In the end, we can't live together. I wish it would be otherwise, but it isn't. We are too different. And we don't trust them, and they are afraid of us. Eventually, in order for us to survive here in our Land, we must part with them.
4. Whomever is a traitor should be deported.
David ,   Boston, USA   (05.02.07)
Jewish or Arab, they should be jailed or deported. I suspect it is not a very large number, at least i hope so.
5. Israel will not expel the Arabs, however
Chaim ,   Canada   (05.02.07)
This indicates that according to Arab mentality this is what needs to be done in order to mitigate the potential threat from Israeli-Arabs. If the shoe was on the other foot, this what the Arabs would do...or worse.
6. The best for all
Y ,   N   (05.02.07)
I think it would be best for both arabs and jews that the peoples split up and go to live in separate states. My suggestion is that the arabs move to one of the 22 arab countries in the region while judea and samaria and maybe the Gaza strip is included in Israel. Maybe some time in the distant future it will be a binational state. But it wouldnt bet on it.
7. A suggestion
Israeli Israeli ,   Israel   (05.02.07)
I've got a suggestion for my fellow arab citizens. instead of electing representatives who are only interested in acquiring wealth, power and fame, choose people are are truly interested in solving your problems.
8. we must not exaggerate
(05.02.07)
9. A martyr?
Shai ,   Israel   (05.02.07)
Did it occur to you that if your community would see him as a martyr, that perhaps there is more than a kernal of truth to the Jewish community's suspicion that your community's loyalties lay elsewhere? By way of comparison, even in the US with Jonathan Pollard, it was an exception that Jews didn't feel that Pollard shouldn't be punished, even though Jews largely are supportive of the state he spied for, Israel. They felt he was a traitor to their country, and that he should be punished according to the law. The only questions that persisted was why his punishment was greater than that for American spies that gave information to enemy countries, when Israel is considered an ally. There is no such issue here. Jews did not justify Pollard's desire to "support the resistence" against Arab onslaught (the information he passed on related largely to the Arab threat on Israel) as though passing information was merely a form of political speech. This is the defense Bishara is using. They were embarrased, and did not apologize for Pollard. But here we have a man who's not spying for America for example, but for Hizbollah, an entity devoted to Israel's destruction. That this professor claims that Shin Bet learned its lesson by not allowing him to become a martyr confirms that he knows where his community's sympathies lie. They lie with Israel's enemies. Not just any enemies - after all, I don't think they have school guards at the entries of schools in the PA or Syria - the threat by Israel is clearly not the same type of threat that our enemies have toward us. No, our enemies are psychotic fanatics. Any man who can find an alliance with these should not be in Israel's Knesset. Now to be clear, I don't think these Arabs should be displaced. I don't see any point in preaching my own national narrative or religous beliefs as a reason to kick people out of their homes. But in a world that accepts that the PA can be Judenrein, I don't think it's wrong that these ARabs be ruled by their own. It's time to recognize that we'll have to agree to disagree, and separate by moving the boundary between us, and as much as possible, them.
10. The usual Arab response
The Raccoon   (05.02.07)
Lies, avoidance of responsibility and psychotic conspiracy theories. Oh, and veiled threats about riots. Next will come violence. Sure, people who think and act like that are just the kind of neighbors I always dreamed of!
11. projection
chava ,   yerushalayim   (05.02.07)
Perhaps they're worried that we'll throw them out because that's what they would do if roles were reversed.
12. If we threw the arabs, then
jason white ,   afula,israel   (05.02.07)
who would be left to vote for meretz, kadima, labor and even the hara-di gangs? It is strange how last year a couple of mental cases threw a few firecrackers in a church in nazereth and the arabs rioted and yelled "death to the Jews". Now we see how bis-hara helped terrorists destroy our land and kill our citizens. How the other arab m.k.s meet with the enemy. How arabs have helped terrorists kill us.How they spy on us.And we sit back quietly and do nothing. We should expelled all traitors including "Jewish" ones long ago. Maybe next time it will be the lucky ones that are expelled.
13. Transfer?
eddie ,   london UK   (05.02.07)
The more radicalised the arab citizens of Israel become, the greater they will create enmity. If they identify more with palestinians and hizbollah than with Israel, they will be seen as a 5th column - so it is up to them and their politicians..
14. All Arabs want an Arab Israel
Tracy W   (05.02.07)
It's not a matter of who is loyal, who is not. The real problem is that Arabs feel uncomfortable living in a Jewish Israel, no matter how well they are treated. Arabs will try anything, from out-of-control birth rate growth, to pushing for the removal of Jewish symbols, to outright treason in order to Arabize the country. Their goal is the same: an Arab Israel under the guise of a "secular multicultural state" or a takeover through a Palestinian military attack. Israel has only two alternatives: to face the issue now and resolve it once and for all, or wait until it's too late. Arabs should not fear a catastrophe, not if they are properly compensated and helped through the transition.
15. Kahane was right....
NS ,   Phila. USA   (05.02.07)
After all these years, we see that Rabbi Meir Kahane was right. They Must Go!!!!
16. "arab minority" means Gaza and WB are not Israeli
(05.02.07)
17. israeli arabs
solemnman ,   nahariya   (05.02.07)
Through all of Israel's wars the Israeli Arabs walked Israel's streets ,maintained their jobs and bussinesses, patronised 'shops and cafes -many of the women wearing the hijab, men women and children conversing not in Hebrew but,Arabic- confident that whatever was being done by their brethren from the hostile areas bordering Israel they would remain completely safe and unmolested .They travel freely ,they vote in all elections and their representatives sit in the Knesset. They enjoy freedoms unknown in the Arab world.Despite all the benefits that have acrued to them living here they have never,to my knowledge, shown anything but disdain for the suffering Israeli Jews have endured since the founding of the state. They have never once,to my knowledge ,shown or expressed any concern for their jewish fellow citizens.Their muted, now voluable support has always been for israels' enemies.
18. Reuven Brauner - just stating the obvious...
PK ,   Hong Kong   (05.02.07)
My position politically is center right to right...rational right! The only realistic answer is the two state solution with land swaps that would rationalize the borders with respect to demographics. I'm of course not talking about driving anybody out of their home. In fact, if there were no land (and accompanying population) swaps, I would NOT be in support of the two state solution. The next step would be to require all citizens to do service (IDF or otherwise) and take a loyalty oath. This is of course for all citizens! I'm sure that parts of some segments (Letfist Jews, Anti-Zionist Ultra-Orthodox, Arab Israelis and maybe even some real extreme Right wing Jews) of the population would have a problem with this, but too bad! For those unwilling or unable to be loyal to their state, they should slowly have all their rights stripped away from them. I would start with voting and then move on to various licenses, access to state facilities (hospitals, schools, etc) and so on. No free rides for anyone! Lastly, the state would have to take an honest look at how things are working and ensure that all loyal citizens are receiving their equal rights and not being discriminated against.
19. Egypt after Spy Scandal Chased out its Jews
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (05.02.07)
After 1954, when 3 Egyptian Jews were caught spying for Israel, the Government began a policy to rid itself of 80,000 Egyptian Jews, using the spy scandal as their excuse.
20. Time for Arabs to return...
Daniel ,   Columbia, USA   (05.02.07)
to Arabia, their true home! They can't live with others, and they can't live with each other (think Black September in 1970 or Hama, Syria, in 1982). A real paradox, but perhaps it can be solved if they do a mass suicide-bombing in protest; maybe out in the Sinai or Negev, with lots of cameras to record the moment...yeah, that's the ticket!
21. We both need you to go
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (05.02.07)
How many lives, both Jewish and Arab, would have been saved had the Jews relocated the Arabs to an Arab country when the opportunity was there in 1967? Eventually, that will be solution and the time will come when transfer becomes the necessary choice. How many more lives, both Jewish and Arab, will go to waste before we all recognize that they must go. For everyone's sake.
22. The sooner they go the better. Kahane was right!
Arthur ,   S Francisco   (05.03.07)
23. Mass deportations of Jews
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (05.02.07)
Mass deportations of Jews will happen first (and has already happened) as long as the current gang of idiots controls the country.
24. the best for all
Bram   (05.03.07)
why stay on a dusty road? people move around the world all the time, now what's the problem? Time to move on to a better place. collect your Arab brains and think about something better then fighting.
25. We should be so lucky!!
(05.03.07)
"Arab-Israelis fear Bishara affair may lead to mass deportation"
26. WE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY
A JEW ,   J-lem Israel   (05.03.07)
27. #3 rabs are afraid of Israel; that was history. wake up !
(05.02.07)
28. Deport them to palestine!
Dann ,   Tel Aviv   (05.02.07)
29. Where is the real headline?
David ,   Sydney   (05.03.07)
where is the real headline 'arab minister spies for enemy?' Instead this so called newspaper ignores the real issue and focuses on the poor palestinian victims
30. To number 20..... Wake up! Stop this false propoganda
(05.03.07)
Palestine, Syrian desert and Jordan are part of Historic Arabia! Canaanites Amorites, etc... all are Arabs and have been existing in Palestine before the Israelites came from Egypt invading Palestine! Arabs have been existing in the Levant since thousands of years... Your words only show how many smart Americans are really out there. Nabateans, Canaanites, Amorites, Ghassanids, etc are all Arabians and extension of the semitic tribes of Arabia. They are ancient Arabs!
