You don't find many of these "Torah Jews" you are talking about. Are you talking about the Haredim in Jerusalem who don't work, don't serve in the army, and show utter contempt for the State of Israel and its non-Haredi inhabitants? Or perhaps about the Neturei Karta or Satmar Hassidim of New York? Where ARE these Torah Jews who do so much good?

The Ultra-Orthodox have a whole system set up for helping people, whether it be a free wedding dress on loan, or baby clothes, or free loans, they do tremendous work within their own community.
