There are hardly any books regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that are not anti-Israel. It seems that only the Leftist and pro-Palestinian books get stocked up. Books critical of Islam are extremely rare, and if they stock them, it's only a couple and then they are never seen again (like While Europe Slept). I have never seen Philips' "Londonistan" on the shelves. But Jimmy Carter's hateful volumes are everywhere. Still, it's a good bookstore, gives 10% discount and good service. But their preference for anti-US and anti-Israel book displays are irritating.

Let's go buy books already and spend more time reading and less time blowing ourselves up

I buy books from Indigo all the time. I knew the owners were jewish but I never thought they contributed to lone soldiers in israel. Now that I know I'll buy even more, especially books about how to transport 4 million arabs out of Israel and disperse them worldwide.

I'm a Canadian & I've never heard of them! Those extremists are out of line and totally wasting their time (which is good thing in a sense.) We're a free country & welcoming diversity & free expression and speech. So, let them talk because no one will really care to listen. Israel is very highly regarded & beloved here in Canada. On the other hand, no book reader or lover can avoid buying from Chapters or Indigo. Simply because they’re the biggest bookstores in Canada (at least in Ontario where I live.) Owners' position from Israel is & should be honored & admired by all Canadian peace lovers.

I came from a similar Communist/Socialist background, and, like you, I'm horrified by what the left has turned into. The problem is that, in addition to being anti-western, they also come from the mindset that says as long as the oppressors and the terrorists have darker skin than they do, they deserve their pity rather than their scorn. It's part of the reason why they screamed bloody murder about apartheid (although justifiably so), yet their silence is deafening when it comes to the Sudan where the genocide is being carried out by Arab Muslims.
