It might not be possible to destroy the entire Iranian ability to retaliate but their capabilities will be more limited and at the end of the day their neuclear program will be put back by decades. This is the perfect time for the US to try anything like this .. Bush is in his last year in office and doesnt have to worry about rellection, he doesnt exactly have a wonderfull reputation he wants to be remembered for. If the Democrats get in then its allmost certain they will not want to get into a fight with Iran and will keep playing games while allowing Iran to continue to develop weapons .
