The Americans are pressuring the Olmert government to agree to Palestinian Authority and Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas's request to bring millions of bullets, thousands of Kalashnikov assault rifles, RPGs, antitank missiles and armored personnel carriers into Gaza from Egypt. Add to that the Pentagon's intention to sell Saudi Arabia Joint Direct Attack Munition satellite-guided "smart bombs," or JDAMS. The Bush administration is not just asking Israel to facilitate the arming of its enemies. It is also placing restrictions on Israel's ability to arm itself. The Pentagon has yet to respond to Israel's request to purchase the F-22 stealth bomber. Moreover, the US seems to be torpedoing Israel's acquisition of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The Pentagon recently voiced its objection to Israel's plan to install Israeli technology in the jets that are to be supplied starting in 2014. Israel's installation of its own electronic warfare systems in its F-16s and F-15s is what has allowed the IAF to maintain its qualitative edge over Arab states that have also purchased the aircraft. (From Caroline Glick's column "James Baker Disciples" on the J. Post.)

OK Then Let's make our Own Stealth Technology, and not give it to anyone. It will be cheaper anyway.
10. Hey Damir in Russia
Free Kosovo ,   Priština, Kosovo   (06.10.07)
We tend to laugh too about the Gabali radar, because like most of the Russian military, it hasn't been maintain in years. There isn't alot of new military stuff and they are in small amounts. The Russian can't even get a rowboat out to sea without it sinking and the Russian Army has one of the worse rape and pilage records for anyone in the world. Russian pilots get less monthly fly training than their Chinese counterparts. I also heard that Putin is pulling the best Russian fighter plans from the Air Force squadrons and selling them to the Chinese. The whole Russian goal is to play the mind games and hope that the USA will pay to fix the radar which is leased to the Russians. It might be time for you all to rethink about Putin? Is Russia considered a democracy? Ciao.
11. Hey Kosovo
Ronald ,   United States   (06.10.07)
Listen, I understand perfectly that you do not like Russia right now because of the rejection of a free Kosovo. But, you totally underestimate Russia right now. They have boosted up there military spending in the past three years. This is not the 90's anymore. Also, If you read between the lines. Russia is only promising the site. Not the old machinery. It is actually cheaper to bring the Anti-Missle system Radar to Azerbijan as it is much closer to Iran. Meanwhile it will only be half price as the Americans do not have to build a brand new infrastructure at the complex, It is already there. Missles will still be in either Poland or Czech. It is still the American system not the old outdated Russia system. That is the real proposal from Putin. It does not mean the Americans will go for it. As, they still do not trust Russia. Russia is on a ego trip right now, It's all about money!
12. Hey Ronald in #11
Free Kosovo ,   Priština, Kosovo   (06.10.07)
You are pretty confused with the state of readiness of the Russian military and its capabilities. As always, they have limited amounts of hardware and can not afford broad spectrum distribution throughout the services. Their airlift capability is almost nill and have had to rely on Ukranian and NATO support. Maintenance is terrible and that's evident in the numerous crashes of military aircraft in past few months (e.g., 50). Yes, we might get a radar structure, but can YOU guarantee the stability of the country and security of the NATO technicians? You might want to look at the total picture, because it is very evident that you are totally clueless about detente as Putin is with what democracy and freedom. The only thing the Russians and their communist brothers in China want is to make money from selling their arms and they do not care about who's blood they shed. This is evident in the Middle East, Lebanon and especially in DAKUR!
13. So THAT'S where the American pilots are...
Rebekah ,   California   (06.17.07)
There are so many German military pilots in American pilots went to besides Iraq and Afganistan. Their is a GERMAN FLAG flying over Holloman Air Force Base in Alamagordo, New Mexico; and half of Ft. Bliss, Texas, is occupied by Germans; and the Germans have a military command center in Virginia. I asked US Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona why foreign countries have military bases in America and he replied, "WE HAVE MILITARY BASES IN THEIR COUNTRIES!" as if I were an idiot. I learned from other sources that our government does not trust the American military to shoot down civilian planes that are hi-jacked after a survey at the Navy's Monterey Post Graduate School. The US military members were asked if they would confiscate weapons from Americans. They answered that they would shoot their commanding officers first. So now the American military in in 120 or more foreign countries and foreigners are in America with diplomatic immunity from prosecution for crimes like rape on military bases. Welcome to world governance.
