But the truth is that the idea of a two-state solution is dead. Oslo killed any chances of a Palestinian state by importing terrorists, thieves, incompetents, & thugs to run a gov't. This is Arafat's legacy & the fault is with all the world's leaders who supported him. Fatah is the main obstacle to peace. Sure, Hamas must be eliminated but that will not solve anything by itself. A more interesing solution is to negotiate a deal with Jordan for some of the West Bank. Gaza is more problematic since no arrangement with Egypt is in our security interest. But it should be obvious to anyone (except politicians) that a new approach is needed. And just who are the "satanic elements" mentioned by the Egyptians? Maybe he should look in a mirror to find out.
