Spinner ,   World   (06.11.07)
Excuse me...but they are not trying to state that the Palestinians are depressed ONLY because of infighting!? Right? Let's state the root cause of this...say... 40 years of OCCUPATION & OPPRESSION...yes that will make good the 92% DEPRESSION these people are feeling. Also, infighting would not have anything to do with Israel. NOT! Israel has Fatah in their pockets...literally! The support they receive from Israel, is more then enough to cause INFIGHTING! So the people are not DEPRESSED by solely by their "own" people FIGHTING each other. The 40 years of OPPRESSION BY ISRAEL (a democratic country :D ) is the TRUE CAUSE of this DEPRESSION!
8. #7 Don't remember reading about them

Give it some thought. I know what I think - what do you think? Maybe the UN can send them a few tons of Prozac. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "Prozac Nation".

Dissolve the PA. Allow the refugees to immigrate to Jordan and Egypt to live normal lives. The website Jerusalem Summit has a solution for the Palestinian problem. It's under the title "win win proposal to solve the conflict" to the right of the page title. An excerpt: "A comprehensive Humanitarian Approach to the Palestinian issue would entail .... (a) The dissolution of UNRWA – which will end the discriminatory treatment of the Palestinians with regard to their status as refugees; (c) Generous relocation grants to Palestinians living in Israeli administered territories on an individual basis and not via any official Palestinian organization." Families would be compensated individually, not through a Palestinian agency. There are already funds pledged by generous donors to finance this plan. It's up to the Palestinians to go ahead. We realize that even if Palestinians were to obtain statehood, the conditions under which they would live would not differ much from the present ones in Gaza. It is necessary to explore this option and to deprive the warring factions in the PA of their most important weapon: the captive population who lives at their mercy
13. #7 Spinner - You Picked The Right Pseudonym
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.11.07)
"Spin" is what your TB is ..... Stop making excuses for Palestinians (and more generally, Muslims) - there is such a thing as responsibility for your actions & the ensuing consequences. The Palestinians are a total FAILURE - everything they have done for 60 years has been a FAILURE. Arab policies all over the Middle-East are a failure. In a wider sense, the socio/cultural/religious structure of the Middle-East is a failure. Which is why there are so many conflicts, so much violence, so much extremism. The Palestinians are just another symptom of a wider disaster which is the melt-down of the nation-states in the Middle-East. Your blaming of "occupation" is just a slogan devoid of real meaning, a simple-minded way to understand a very large & complex problem not confined to our miserable little conflict. Try thinking, it's hard at first, but with time, you might find it enlightening.

16. 92% of the world depressed about Palestinians
Jon ,   San Diego, USA   (06.11.07)
According to my personal survey, 92% of people who can read (and are not self-immolating) are depressed about the perpetual downward spiral of the Palestinian culture, to use the term loosely. The other 8% don't give a hoot.
17. #14, there is no occupation...
(06.11.07)
what are you talking about? palis live on israeli land... period.
18. Occupation
Guy ,   Israel   (06.11.07)
For 2000 years the Land of the Jews was occupied, as large parts of it still are to this day. The Jews were never depressed. The Land was not only occupied, the people were deported, their most sacred sites were either desecrated or obliterated but they were never depressed. They got their Land back and they are keeping it, forever. All those crying occupation and oppression, individuals and Nations, can all go to hell. The "Palestinians" are depressed for one good reason, their leaders have failed them constantly since the inception of 'Palestinian nationhood" in 1965. Please explain to me why Gaza was occupied by Egypt for 19 years, under strict military government, anybody stepping out of line was hung at dawn in the town square, and yet there was no oppostion, no terrorism, no blowing up buses in Cairo, no suicide bombers, and you know what, strangely enough, there was no depression.

Is that only the ones that refer to Arabs? Or should we discuss how many UN resolutions are being broken regarding Israel. You're pathetic.

In Islam booze is banned, I suggest this is wrong and that the Pali's need a good stiff drink and then try and just get on with things.. How much longer can they whinge about the occupation.. blah.. they were offered peace and refused.. The Naqba.. Rubbish.. The arabs attacked israel.. get over it.. The 67 war.. well yup.. you had your chance in 1973 and blew that one.. So have a beer and make peace and live.. instead of blowing yourselves up and trying to turn a whole generation of kids into bombers..! Or Vodka is good too....lol
28. Depression rules in the world of darkness
Brod ,   USA   (06.11.07)
To overcome their dark problem, the dark forces need to discard their traditional training of hate, violence, belligerence and aggression. They should be thought to become peaceful people and trained on work skills so that they could find employment.
