Man you have no idea what you are talking about!!!!! What would you do if the gov. would tell you to leave everything you have your house your work everything you built and worked for through many years!!!!!! You wouldn`t like that wouldn`t you!!!!!!!! We are talking here about territories and we have many economic intrests in the Golan I think it will cost us even more than a war to give up on the Golan. I think you didn`t understand the situation well so if you have never been in Israel you are welcome to see for yourself what place we have to give to Syria that will probably wont leave us alone even if we will give them the Golan!!!!!!

Synagogues a "few lumps of granite"? You should be more concerned about how in the future your own English churches will be either razed or converted to mosques. That's your future, whether you choose to see it or not. Unless of course, you are one of those who want mosques to replace all other temples in Britain. And, nobody is talking about a "comprehensive peace" here. It's just the easily broken promises by a dictator or a country that's been always at war with other nations and with its own citizens. All that people like you want is for Israel to lose Golan - and any pretext will do.

E. Haetzni--other arguments for the Golan: 1. Geographic part of Israel as per the watershed 2. Historic part of Israel as per Gamla 3. Picot-Sykes switch from Israel to Syria for English/French interests 4.No Syrians now live there--if the Druze want to revert to Syria, that portion of the Golan can be yielded 5.Israel has paid for it after 3 attacks from Syria 6.Israeli morale needs it 7.Israel complied with UN 242 after 1973 when it yielded Queintra and the Damascus Plain --I am afraid that none of this will persuade the Peres/Beilin/Livni/etc block. I cannot think of another country that would yield such a treasure. Arnold Flick
