Abbas seeks Israel's cooperation in West Bank    Ali Waked
1. What a Crock?
Why dont we just fight the war for Abbas and then when we win, let Abbas kill more Israelis? Has Israel lost its mind. What is Israel getting in return, no recognition, no soldiers back, no border control, I could go on and on. If we get involved in their war we will be fighting our war with them again. Fatah are our enemies, Israel get smart for a change. You have become like strangers in your own land. USA

2. so what's in it for israel in return? nothing
let's see some real concessions and moves toward real tangible peace that stands the test of time first, THEN we'll talk about helping this loser who has NEVER done anything beneficial for israel EVER. seeing is believing, so show us if you really mean it mr abbas. we'll be waiting.

3. Lies. Palestine is Arab, from Sea to Sea!

4. Just a reminder
While we are talking with Dr. Abbas, let us remember his nom de guerre, Abu Mazen, under which he helped finance the Munich massacre of Israeli athletes. Let us also recall that his doctoral thesis was based on Holocaust denial. When did he suddenly change from a person dedicated to Israel's destruction to a moderate with whom Israel should negotiate?

5. NEW OPPURTUNITY
All the comments I have read here so far are BS. Helping Abu Mazin means helping yourselves!!! Now Fatah and Abu Mazin is out of Gaza, Hamas is ruling there, so DO NOT BLAME Abu Mazin for anything in Gaza now, you have your own army, right? go get Shalit ... Go stop rockets yourselves. Now,. you need to help Abu Mazin in West Bank so that he is able to crack on Hamas. And when I say help, means give the PA security forces the chance to impose law, do not interfer with the PA forces in the west bank, remove road blocks so that people in the west bank can live normal, and let us make sure that radicals are isolated. If you Israelis do not understand stand those facts, then you better go to hell.

6. Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine
Move there and leave the Jews/Israel alone in peace!

7. Pitiful
Mahmoud Abbas is a sad and desperate man and I feel deeply sorry for him. However, let's not forget that Fatah are still an enemy of Israel and how much should we really help HIM and THEM!?
israel   (06.17.07)
8. leave abbas out in the cold where he belongs
let hamas get rid of fatah once and for all. Then we wont have to pretend that they are our friends any longer(while they try and stab Israel in the back) Then just let hamas try this kind of crap in Judea/Samaria. I mean the crap they are doing in gaza Then the IDF can take care of them without the constraints of BS politics

9. Israel always fall's for this scam
Help the good terrorist Abbas and whta does Israel always get in return ? Screwed ,every time. And you still go along so that thye can't help but love you. They do love you ,Dead. If Abbas gave Israel one big knife and asked the Jews to cut their thosts to help him out ,the majority would oblige him. How much more stupid do you get before you figure this thing out morons of Israel ?

11. Let's start by having Al-Aqsa Martyrs recognize Israel
... and then we will be willing to consider not hunting them down like the dogs they are. All of them are ticking bombs with the only difference of when the clock is set. If their leaders come out and declare in Arabic and English that they donot seek the destruction of Israel anymore and prove it with real, tangible actions, then we should slowly and gradually step down the hunt to a necessary minimum, ready to step it up at any sign of breaching the declaration. On Abbas' side, we would expect him to ERASE the paragraph in the PLO Charter calling for the destruction of Israel. Whan that is done, and Mr. Abbas goes to the UN and declares that he recognizes Israel and Jerusalem as its capital, then we can talk. Until then, we should do only what is good for us. Stopping the Al Aqsa hunt is NOT good for us. And since they breached or not implemented any of the agreements that we signed with them, the burden of the proof and the ball is still in Palestinian hands I'm afraid.

13. Hey Bilal, Palestine is dead for more than 59 years.
Palestine died in 1948. Nobody and nothing on earth can ever resurrect it. So what if a couple of million Arabs live west of the Jordan? everybody can see that the PA isn't viable. It doesn't matter that it's not viable because of Israel, 'the occupation' or 'the settlements'. The fact remains, it isn't viable. The only viable nation state for all Greater Palestine Arabs is the Kingdom of Jordan. Jordan and Israel should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and cede Gaza to Egypt. And enough with this very cruel joke.
Uzi ,   Haifa   (06.17.07)
14. Re #5. Where roadblocks were gone, so was Fatah gone
B"H It is only because of the Israeli presence in what you call the West Bank that Hamas has not taken over Israel there. It is Israel's land, and once this fact is faced then we just need to figure out how to secure it. It is simply a matter of tactics that we need to discuss, not ownership. Fatah claimed ownership over Gaza, and that claim was denied. Why should the same thing happen to Fatah in Israel's occupied territory, where it is crushed in Gaza when it tries to stand on its own? Fatah needs to retake Gaza as its expression of strength using its own weapons. Then it can worry about the roadblocks going down. In the meanwhile, the roadblocks are what is keeping Fatah in power, so if you take those away, you are taking away Fatah's power for Israel as well as for the Arabs living in Israel's territory. With what power can Iran and its protege Hamas be faced with then? In other words, even if I were on your side, I could do nothing better for you than keep the roadblocks until another arragement can be agreed upon. Your situation is difficult, by why make it worse? I understand Hamas murdered every Fatah official it could in Gaza. Why should that spread to Israel's occupied territory in the East to eliminate all of Fatah also? Do you really want to try to live under Iran or is Israel not better? Look to live in Gaza to find your answer.

15. liers
Abass and his budies are a bunch of liers who are useless when it matters, and as for Fatah as a party its made of many different and disjoint subgroups who are only loyal to their local leaders. Such people cannt be trusted.

17. Is it Just me
The Government In Gaza ever gonnna make up its mind , they want Israel to Intervene yet, at the same time they want IDF not to enter west bank cities and to stop the hunting of suspect's and Activists, What exactly to they want Israel to do?
FrankietheAustralian ,   Ashdod   (06.18.07)
18. 3 True what you say are lies and in the eyes of GOD a lie as
well. Grab a quran, bible or torah and learn about god from all three. Compare and then you will see the truth and it will set you free. Do some research on Ambon as well. God is not forced upon anyone, God is free you just have to ask.

19. 5 Nadir, when you in the west bank start to truly
accept your religious minorities and those that believe in god. You will have a much better society there. Hamas and Fatah are both NO GOOD for the palestinian cause. Of that there is no argument.

20. remember shalevet pas and hang abu mazen out to dry...

21. Try to win their hearts
I think Israel should help Abbas. He's not the man I would buy a used car from. But if he's the father of the (albeit violent and arguing) household living next to me, I would cooperate with him. All the more so if he helps me against members of another neighbour family that keep assaulting me. You already coexist with the Israeli Arabs. Now it's time for a regular life close to the West Bank Palestinians.
