Israeli baseball begins Sunday night    Ynet
1. Baseball is a Ht in Israel!!!!!
Baseball in Israel may outdraw the soccer games of the second league!!! For example Hapoel Ra'anana barely averages 200-300 people to their games. A great start for a great sport!
Mel ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.18.07)
2. Baseball is a Hit in Israel!!!!

(06.18.07)
4. they do it backwards.
the problem with the Israeli baseball team is that after practicing for 3 months they did not realize that you run from right to left, they were running in the wrong direction!

6. Historic Opening of Israel Baseball League
Baseball is becoming a worldwide sport. What better place than Israel. So many fans there and I am one of the North Americans going to Israel this particular summer to see this live! Very exciting. Very nice.

7. Israel Baseball
We, a very small community in the North, have had a baseball field for more than 10 years. It is the ultimate teamwork game! Kol Hakavod to baseball finally "arriving" here. I'll be there to see the first pitch and will be a regular supporter.
Barbara ,   Har Halutz, Israel   (06.19.07)

9. Well done Shahar Pe'er
on winning your first round at Eastbourne. Ynet boycotting Israeli Sport? But that's nothing new.
Naomi ,   Israel   (06.19.07)
10. baseball
this is just another excuse to displace the rightful owners from their lands....baseball like the rest of the israelis was imported and is not native to palestine baseball is another way to subjugate the palestinians....do you think their will be checkpoints at the games? do you think they will allow palestinians to watch the games? check your facts not one palestinian was picked to play in your jewish league
salim ,   al kuds   (06.19.07)
11. We can only hope :
that all the baseball fans in Israel won't stop coming to the field after the openning day, which I have a bad feeling will happen
Jason ,   Israel   (06.19.07)

debra ,   usa   (06.20.07)
13. # 10 Salim
Stuff it. Look at it this way just another gathering for you and your enlightened brothers to send a suicide bomber to. Maybe the USA should give baseball bats to the Palis so they can beat each other.
VoiseOfReason ,   Here&Now   (06.20.07)
14. #10 Salim
Baseball is an American game. Muslims don't like things American, in fact they have anti-american marches and protests all the time. Maybe that's why there has never been an Arab/Muslim Major League Baseball player. Also, its not a jewish league. The majority of the league is composed of non-jews. I think it would be great to get some arabs in the league, but the arabs should get their house in order before making time for sports.

15. response #13
you must be another one of the "indiginous" europeans who came to rob us of our lands what have you brought? TV, cancerous mcdonalds, homosexuaity and now baseball look at they way your daughters dress, maybe they should be playing baseball
salim ,   al kuds   (06.20.07)
16. Salim - think twice about baseball
Ok Salim - forget about the occupation for a moment. Baseball is yet another team sport that has more benefits than drawbacks. It gives you an excuse to teach kids and adults too about teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline and other positive attributes. Like football (local, not American), it's a cheap sport: all you need is a bat, ball, and some gloves and a big patch of dirt to play on. Internationally, the sport is developing around the world. It's played in many Arab countries already. And, if you get a Palestinian group together, I can almost guarantee that you'll get financial assistance as well as coaching and also management assistance, so that you can build a Palestinian Baseball Association.
JPS ,   Israel   (06.20.07)
17. Well done AGAIN Shahar
American and spanish idol droolers at ynet continue to ignore you. Shows they have no taste in almost anything really.
