1. AND OUR GOVERNMENT HELP THE PALESTINIANS ! OLMERT BARAK ZERO
(06.20.07)
2. Abbas Should Get Zero Aid Until The Qassams Stop
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (06.20.07)
If Israel had any real leadership Abbas would get nothing until the Qassams stop and all damage caused by the rockets would be paid for out of Palestinian tax revenue.
3. Re #2. You are not seeing Hamas as Iranian
Steve ,   USA   (06.20.07)
B"H Hamas trains in Iran. It is an Iranian backed organization. This is basically Iran's step towards wiping Israel off the map. I do not think Abbas gets Iranian backing to the same extent. That Iranian supply chain is the basic problem that has to be dealt with. Israel should be dropping food in Gaza as the population has lost military control of where it lives there, and Hamas has food even if the rest of the population starves and dies. Hamas could care less one way or the other. The trick with Abbas is not to provide him material that is not useful for security. For example, if weaons fall in Hammas's hands, then what is the point of handing them to Abbas? There has to be a balance in figuring out Abbas's role in securing the land from Iranian-backed Hamas (for Abbas's own good, because Hamas would eliminate him just like all the other Fatah brothers in Gaza).
4. Re-occupy Gaza
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (06.20.07)
Hamas will run away like little girls.
5. QUICK! WRITE THEM A COMPENSATION CHECQUE!
stude ham   (06.20.07)
STUPID OLMERT GOVERNMENT!
6. Why we always wait with airstrikes until something happens??
uli ,   jerusalem   (06.20.07)
We should strike WITHOUT A PAUSE, that they will not have the time and air to breath to start attacks against us. We should strike WHENEVER there is a possiblity.
7. Where Is Israel Tal, Moshe Dayan
Dave Levy ,   Burbank CA USA   (06.20.07)
Uli, you have a good point. Israel seems always to react, rather than act. I read that Israel tanks have entered Gaza, but have seen nothing more. The news will updated soon. This is about an Israeli policy that has been ineffective. Hamas controls Gaza, but Islamic Jihad is taking the responsibility. In fact, Israel should be blaming Hamas, for these incidents. No more good cop bad cop. Also, if Fatah (Abbas) allows similar incidents, Israel must consider the W. Bank, "Fatahland", and act like it was El Fatah. Remember that bunch of mafioso and thugs? Barak can make a difference, if he doesn't get caught up in the politics between Olmert and Bush (and Condi-who is totally useless now-like her peer, Livni-the wannabe F.M, but who is stil a housewife in attorney's clothing. I ask, where are the Israeli Ben Gurions, Moshe Dayans, Rabins, Israel Tals?
8. What will Barak do ???
malcolm   (06.20.07)
Nothing will get between his mouth and an overstuffed, triple decker corned beef sandwich.
9. Next qassam to hit should result in Damascus being leveled.
Micha   (06.20.07)
10. C'mon can't you do something about this?
Josh ,   Olympia   (06.20.07)
11. Israel gives aid to Palestinians
tammi ,   Tel Aviv   (06.20.07)
Water, food, medical help, fuel and the palestinians send a thank you note (tied to a rocket!). Yeah, that makes sense... I suggest that the next time the palestininans cry for help from Israel, they should just eat...their ROCKETS !
12. new Defense Minister
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (06.20.07)
when the first rocket landed in sedorot after Barak was appointed as Defense Minister, claiming he has the expertise in how to handle such attacks, I wrote an opinion (which was not published for whatever reason) that this first salvo was merely a test to see if Barak is the same as he was when he was the PM at that time all he did was issue warnings and threats which were blissfully ignored by the terrorists if this onslaught against Israel will be treated the same as until now Israel is in for a very sever time. To restraint from effective unmerciful military action to find favor by the good graces of the worlds biased governments as exemplified by the UN's decision to place Israel and only Israel under constant scrutiny, is just a offshoot of the historical failed policy of restraint.
13. OK,Barak
Nemesis   (06.20.07)
It's your turn..show Israel that you're better than Peretz..that shouldn't be too hard to do...while Israel is providing aid to Gaza,Hamas is shelling Sderot..this is supposed to be a new era of hope for Israel...no hesitation required, just act.
14. Thank you, Uli#6 !
Marc ,   Nice, France   (06.20.07)
Can't agree more with Uli ! Three hard facts : 1-Hamas, "murderous terrorists " according to Chairman of so-called Palestinian "authority", has been "regularly" elected by Pals. 2-Gilad Shalit is still kept down there. (BTW, Gilad Shalit is still a french-israeli double national, and I still can hear nothing but deep silence from french gov't.) 3-Qassam keep falling on Sderot. Then : -Israel is obviously still at war, -Both Hamas & Fatah are obviously the same kind of murderous thugs. Israel should not let them out, be it from Gaza or from Judaea-Samaria. Israel should not cure them, nor take care for them. Israel should not feed her murderous foes. Israel should cut them water supply, electricity, way out, even fresh air if possible, by all means. And keep on doing that relentlessly, as this is the only exchange they can feel, as murderous thugs. Until they ask themselves for peace, and/or leave, and stop being what they are, and/or die. WITHOUT A PAUSE, as Uli stated. (Be prepared to wait approx. 2000 years, they have a long way ahead...)
15. Radical Power Shift
Neil Kuchinsky ,   Colonial Heights   (06.20.07)
It might be instructive to turn the power off in Gaza for as long as it takes to turn the power back on at the Kibbutz. Surely the Gaza hospials have generators by now. Come to think of it, why not turn the power to Gaza off for 8 hours each time a rocket hits the Sderot area? It should be getting awfully hot in Gaza this time of year...
16. They are saying "Thanx for the petrol you sent us"
Name ,   City & country   (06.20.07)

Peres ,   Israel   (06.21.07)
18. Cut OFF THEIR POWER!
stuart ,   Ny,ny USA   (06.21.07)
If you cut off thier power, water etc... then the popuation will force the PALS to cease and decist. Until then they will just sit back and as they have said watch their TV;S and listen to their radios! PS How will they feel when thier toilets won't flush!
19. #2 Bill - Try getting out your scorecard and learn the playe
Meir Elazar   (06.21.07)
#2 Bill - Try getting out your scorecard and learn the players. HAMAS is the terrorist group that attacked FATAH and controls Gaza. PRC and Islamic Jihad are the terrorist groups that launch rockets against Sderot and surroundings. FATAH is the "moderate" group led by Abbas who succeeded Arafat. FATAH is in charge of corruption in PAL government but since he is a "moderate" he is the only one that Israel can negotiate with. Yasser Arafat was born in Egypt in 1929 but through a very special and holy Moslem ritual was converted to a Palestinian. He led the PLO for many years. Just like the Jews wandered in the desert for 40 years, Arafat led the wanderings of the PLO as they were evicted from Jordan to Lebanon to Tunisia and eventually came back to Palestine. He and his wife Sufa who has lived abroad for years pioneered PAL corruption and economic resource depletion. With his wife abroad so much, Arafat eventually also took on the Ministry of Health portfolio and began his personal AIDS research until his death. Khaled Meshal is the head of HAMAS and lives in Syria. Israel killed him once but it looks there going to have to go back and kill him again. Other prominent HAMAS leaders who did stay dead were Yassin and Rantisi. Also noteworthy amongst terrorists was "The Engineer", Yehiya Ayash who received poetic justice and died of a cell phone call. They are still trying to collect for him exceeding his monthly minutes and calling out of his family plan. So Bill, I hope this helps you keep track of the players.
20. More Rocket attacks on Israel
Brod ,   USA   (06.21.07)
Barak should unleash the IDF and let them perform their work to wipe off the thugs in Hamastan.
21. OLMERTS STANCE:
SHULI ,   Cleveland, OH USA   (06.21.07)
We will assist Palestinians who are under siege from Hamas-Fatah clashes, provide them a home in the West Bank, and send them millions in aid and weapons...BUT...if they attack Israelis, well, they can rely on Gaydamak for help as we leave Sderot uninhabited and under siege.
22. OLMERT TIME FOR YOU TO STEP DOWN YOU ARE A PLIABLE LEADER.
MIKE ,   USA   (06.21.07)
