1. Isaac Newton
Cambridge, MA   (06.22.07)
Yes, he is a great scientist.... But..... Recent evidence shows that most of what he has come up with has been already known in the Islamic world. Much of his writings where taken from manuscripts found in spain!
2. My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth
Palestinian   (06.22.07)
The Biblical prophecy... In Quran, God says to prophet David that we will give this land to our servants who worship me... See verse: 21:105 Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth."
3. 2 - What about the book of Mormon?
amnon   (06.23.07)
Who cares if you quote the Koran? I can quote people in this talkback and that would carry about as much authority as your source. If you would honestly look at the actions of the followers of your book, then you'd see clearly that they prove the falsity of their god by being so un-godly, perverse, and demonstrate the feebility of their supposed deity by not allowing him to act. Sad.
4. 1 - the difference is
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.23.07)
since then the west has put men on the moon and explored the farthest reaches of the galaxy, while at the same time muslims haven't departed from the middle ages. what good is your science if it stopped in it's tracks as your religion strengthens?
5. to #1
Arul ,   Malaysia   (06.23.07)
And the islamic writings were taken from the book of revelation in the new testament
6. To #1 & #2
Arul ,   Malaysia   (06.23.07)
"We [Allah] established for the children of Israel [the Jews] a secure dwelling in the Land of Canaan" Koran 10, 91, Jonas " Then We [Allah] said to the Israelites: 'Dwell in the land. When the promise of the hereafter comes to be fulfilled, We shall assemble you all together.' " Koran 17, v. 104, Night Journey. There are fanatic imams who claim that Israeli Jews are not Jews (descendants of the Israelites) at all and thus this does not refer to them. As both the Bible and the Koran state that the Jews will return to their Promised Land and they have.So that is the fact of life & hence support Israel. If you don't do, either you don't believe in the book that you respect or you don't respect what is said in that and you are not a muslim . Pick your choice and Wake up
7. yes hey
3 ,   jerusalem   (06.23.07)
it is a jewish new tune not god tune // god may forbid but not to have a partner // and jews think the same in this holy land // no one own the land it is god land give it to any one deserve it sure it is not these people killing the others if they are brothers or cusons
8. #1 not! #2 ha! Newton: ahead of his time in many ways
Someone   (06.23.07)
9. TB 1 & 2 are from the same guy.
sk ,   USA   (06.23.07)
Also, goodness, what hooey. Dude, it's one thing to claim (erroneously) that Muslims discovered the concept of zero, but now you're claiming gravity, the laws of motion, and calculus as well? If you were funnier, I'd swear you were Rashid.
10. Newton Radical? Not to me!!!
Darren ,   Tampa, FL USA   (06.23.07)
The article stated: "Newton's radical Protestant theology and belief that a Jewish return to Israel was linked with the return of the Christian deity, Jesus, made him one of the first ever Christian Evangelical-style figures in history, Snobelen said." I guess that makes me a "radical" too. I believe what Newton expressed regarding the Jews return to their homeland is not "radical" Christianity, but TRUE Christianity. God has and is bringing His people back to Israel. The Messiah (first coming for some and second for others like myself) is coming soon and I believe before 2060. Armageddon is prophesied. It will happen and we who worship the TRUE God, i.e. the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, will be saved by the Messiah who will not be Islamic.
11. Isaac Newton
Douglas Brown ,   Lebanon, Pennsylvani   (06.23.07)
He, Like Matthew Henry (1662-1714)Mathew Poole (1624-1679) and John Foxe (1517-1587) read the Bible daily, prayed in Jesus Name and accepted the presence of God in their lives. Few know the love Isaac Newton had for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His entire life was dedicated to Him.
12. Palestinian #2
Connie ,   VA. USA   (06.23.07)
If your quoting the Quran, it's not BIBLICAL prophecy. Although the quran was taken from jewish manuscripts, they are not the same.
13. Jewish return to Israel?, Newton has Weight & Vision
(06.23.07)
he even predicted the name of Jerusalem's Zion 300 years before Ben Gurion of sombody else!
14. Christian Zionists
Bible student ,   Israel   (06.23.07)
The radical reformation is a chapter in history that has been largely forgotten but Newton, Locke and many other influential men were influenced by the teachings and books of men like Michael Servetus (burned to death by the Protestants for heresy) and the Socinians. This movement was wiped out in Europe in the 16th and 17th centuries by the Church and the Prostestants. John Thomas, the founder of the Christadelphian movement (the first true 'Christian Zionists') picked up the torch in the mid-19th century. They, like the radical reformation, reject the divinity of Christ, and other mainstream doctrines like the immortality of the soul, infant baptism and the Devil. John Thomas predicted the return of the Jews to Palestine in the mid-19th century, well before the First Zionist Congress.
15. To #14
Trobadour ,   Europe   (06.23.07)
I'm Christadelphian, And yes we don't believe in the deity of the Messiah. We were of the first Christians helping the Jews settling in their land, even before the the world wars. God Bless Israel, bless Jerusalem! Always praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
16. #2....
Jack ,   Florida   (06.23.07)
PLEASE do NOT compare your Quran to our Bible! They are NOT written by the same author! See prophetofdoom.org
17. Middle Age Superstition
Devil's Advocate ,   Canada   (06.23.07)
Superstitious faith in your mythology of the God of Abraham, be you Christian, Muslim or Jew, it's all medieval!
18. Thats how Jews see New Testament, Mormon Book, Koran
John ,   USA   (06.24.07)
They are all extra biblical writings. Read them like COMMENTARIES.
19. Religion - root of evil
Richard Dawkins fan ,   Illogical World   (06.24.07)
unless of course, the religious are able to transcend the literal and find the metaphorical truths which are present in all mythologies. There is a universal religion which the pantheistic Ibn Arabi preaches. It comprises all religions: My heart has become a receptacle of every form; It is a pasture for gazelles and a convent for Christian monks, And a temple for idols, and pilgrims’ Ka‘ba, And the Tablets of the Torah and the Book of the Qur’an. I follow the religion of love whichever way its camels take; For this is my religion and my faith.
20. To #19
Marilyn ,   USA   (06.25.07)
Christianity is not a myth. Our G-d is the greatest chemist, physicist and mathematician ever by far. He goes against what we think we know in terms of time, space, motion, energy, etc. Mind blowing. Doing what we think is impossible. Some things we just have to take it on faith and others become clearer as we go along.
21. I. Newton
Phyllis ,   Bozeman, MT, USA   (06.25.07)
A few weeks ago, June 2007, PBS aired a documentary on Issac Newton. His private herisy was "revealed", in that, he did not believe J_s_s was devine. Well read in the Scriptures, yes, Christian, no.
22. Einstein
Marilyn ,   USA   (06.26.07)
In talk about Newton being a heretic, I found myself imagining Einstein as a Jewish heretic, but then I thought maybe there's some people out there that really do see him as such.
23. Britain, where are your great Britons now?
Jake   (06.26.07)
Nowadays, trade-union boycotters rule OK in the sceptred isle. They are building not Jerusalem, but Mecca, in England's green and pleasant land. Isaac Newton, Winston Churchill, Wingate, Patterson all seem to have vanished.
24. IT'S ALL ONE G_D - reply to #10, 16 & religious competitors
(06.27.07)
Yo: Walk the walk, don't just talk the talk: If you are TRULY a monotheist, if you truly believe there is no G-d but the One G-d, that Adonai echad, then you will admit that we all pray to the same G-d, even if we call that G-d by different names (heck, there are dozens of names for G-d WITHIN our respective religions!) and even if some of us stand to pray, others kneel, and others prostrate on the ground. G-d loves all prayer, regardless of whose lips it comes from. If the person understands in his or her heart that we are all inter-related, all from the same One, and behaves accordingly by respecting, honoring, and celebrating fellow humans, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, etc., then that person is truly saved. If we really followed our respective scriptures, we would, see the One-ness (face of G-d/Allah/HaShem and even Buddah-nature etc.) in all and, therefore, do them no harm. If the "end of days" comes, those who survive will be those who can, like Allah/G-d/Elohim, transcend superficial differences and honor our interdependence. That is the meaning of salvation, that is what all of our faiths teach, and that is what all of you who squabble about whose religion is better are sorely missing.
25. HERE'S THE LINK TO THE MATERIAL
yonason ,   usa   (07.12.07)
B"H Note that Newton believed that the secrets of the Universe are to be found in the Torah, not the Koran. The web site, as I found referenced on one about the Temple Mount. in case that didn't work here it is again http://jnul.huji.ac.il/dl/mss/newton/item_eng.html?pageId=ms44
