Hamas should be ignored ! 1) because there is no reason to believe that Shalit is alive. 2) No country in the world releases prisoners from jail that were convicted by due process. Releasing prisoners because of a kidnap victim would merely open a floodgate - more kidnappings and more demands!

That's nothing! - Hamas killed over 100 people in a WEEK. That includes throwing a man off a tall building, shooting a doctor in the head for trying to save a life plus another give or take 98 miscellaneous killings including children. We all heard of the "land for peace" formula. May I suggest a new formula: "food for Shalit". Hamas was voted into the government by it's people. As much as the Israeli citizen was condemnd in 1996 to have voted for a right shift in Israel, so should the Palestinian be treated the same. They wanted Hamas, they got it. Israel doesn't support Hamas. So, Israel doesn't want to deal with them. You want food, electricity, water from Israel? Everything has its price!!! Why should Israel be more worried for the welfare of Hamastan then for the welfare of their own people.
