1. To the author: listen to your leader Mr. Burg
Simon ,   Paris, france   (06.29.07)
Get a passport and come to France. Then all your problems will be solved. Stop venting about problems that bother your family.
2. The left has no shame
A Nice Fellow ,   Canada   (06.29.07)
More drivel from the "Suicide Now" morons who, in their profound arrogance, have leaned nothing in the years since Oslo. One wonders why they are consistently given the space to air their discredited and dangerous views.
3. WHERE ARE THE STORIES/EDITORIALS ON SDEROT?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!
(06.29.07)
4. Dror, you master fabricator, just move to Gaza already
YMBMY ,   Modiin, Israel   (06.29.07)
How can anyone trust what this liar says? Why does the media continue to print his garbage?
5. I have the solution :-)
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (06.29.07)
Ok, everybody, Palis and Israelis, get maps and draw lines where they think the borders should be. Then, randomly, let a computer pick a large, but equal, number of maps from each side. Feed each set of the maps back into the computer and let it pick the average for each side. Then feed those two averages back into the computer and let it split the difference. And then, heaven help anyone on either side, who starts a ruckus, because they don't like this or that. No more any of that "my olives are now in the wrong place", "my beautiful grapes are over there," or "what about my melons, figs, pomegranates" or whatever? The people will have spoken and that will be it. Heck, it sounds no less ridiculous than what's going on now.
6. why#4
Avi ,   ny   (06.29.07)
Because he is the personification of the media.
7. Dror,a truthful piece and I wish you and Peace Now all the
lakshmi   (06.29.07)
best as you endeavour to achieve Peace and Justice !
8. get a reality check Now!
Edmond ,   London UK   (06.29.07)
40 years ago the fight was not for the west bank, but for survival of the smaller israeli borders. The shtachim were a bonus. And before they were occupied by arabs, and romans, it wa Jewish and Israelite land. FYI, Gaza is proof of th efutility of your arguments, and this is the vision you may have for Israel!.
9. OD BACHYAN GADOL.
Ivri   (06.29.07)
10. Dror, let's start by giving your illegal settler house
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.29.07)
to the arabs. After all generosity starts at home. You can set the example for us, ok? B'emet ata matzhik!
11. "Peace and Justice"
mike ,   US   (06.29.07)
like an Orwellian doublespeak, these 2 words uttered by the left mean self-inflicted suicide. As much as Mr.Dror would like to believe, the 2 sides are not equal, and the basic matter is not about reconciliation or coming to just and fair terms, but about end goals of the 2 sides. For Israelis, the end-goal is a peaceful existence, with arab neighbors who respect boundaries. Its about maintaining a strong economy, about having a Jewish homeland free of pogroms and holocausts. For the Palestinians, the end goal is not about 'ending the occupation', but about ending Israel. This isn't me saying this, this is their government and the majority of their population saying this, who have been saying it decades before any occupation was in place. The simple matter is that this isnt a battle of equals. This is a battle between a side that wants to live in quiet peace, and a side that wants total annhilation of the other. "Peace and Justice" for whom exactly? The first thing the Left subverts is the language, words like Peace and Justice have lately come to mean anything but that.
12. A bigger problem
db ,   bosstown, USA   (06.29.07)
The bigger problem for Israeli's like yourself is that you have no idea what it means to be a JEW. The reason any of us is in ISrael , including you, is because we are JEWS.
13. #5 - Hartley, I'm so glad you're safely
YF   (06.29.07)
thousands of miles away, where you can't do any harm. Just keep sending your TBs, but don't ever apply for a job at the White House. There are enough nutty ideas coming from those folks. Now that I think of it, your ideas are no worse than theirs, and they might even work!
14. Etkes, I don't read the Surrender Now columns anymore
David   (06.29.07)
I read the TBs and I add my sentiments to theirs. I agree. Surrender Now and their sympathizers are discredited with every thinking person, and with even many of the Left-leaning electorate. Your tactics, your goals, and your lack of compassion for Jews are just too much for any decent Jew to take. Why is this tiny minority given so much media space, I wonder. What about "The Earth Is Flat Society"? Why don't they get any space?
15. His whole premise: we're immigrants - they're natives ---
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (06.29.07)
we don't have rights to this land; they do. As somebody really believes in 2 states and withdrawal from WB territory - along - more or less - 1948 borders - leaving major Jewish population centers inside Israel and giveng up Arab population centers without walling them into little enclaves - I still say this man is a LIAR, and not even a good one.
16. Dror Etkes
mark ,   westfield usa   (06.29.07)
Mr. Etkes states that Israelis do not truly want to leave the territories. History has proven otherwise. Israel had over 8,000 settlers in Sinai, which they returned to Egypt for a cold peace. They returned Taba to Egypt as well. Who can forget the disengagement from Gaza, where over 8,000 jews were forcibly evicted from their homes. Israel got nothing for that. It is obvious that the majority of Israelis would support Israel completely getting out of the west bank and parts of east jerusalem, if terrorism were to stop. But for the majority of palestinians, they make no distinction between Nablus and Jaffa, Gaza or Haifa. To them, it is all occupied land. Both sides have definitely made mistakes, but Israel has shown a far greater willingness for concessions to peacce than the Palestinians.
17. peace now (and another piece tomorrow) nuff said
izzy d   (06.29.07)
18. Dror, I'll believe you when the EU stops paying your salary
Aviva ,   Israel   (06.29.07)
19. Dror, who are the natives?
freejay ,   Israel   (06.29.07)
Dror wrote "The conflict in this country is between Israelis, most of them the children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren of immigrants, and the Palestinians, who are the natives of this land" How did he come to the conclusion that muslims arethe native palastinians of this land???? A COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE!!!!!!! He knows as well as anyone else does that these so called current Palastinians only arrived here in the 20th century. He also knows that the original inhabitants were jewish and pagan, but chooses to tell arab propaganda lies instead. Shame on this weak pathetic man. The left make me sick!
20. Dror, you truly are a piece (of work)
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (06.29.07)
And I wish you a speedy return to reality. Not that it's going to happen, but one can wish. I hold you in the deepest contempt possible.
21. Dror. Have you "ever" attended a synagogue?
Ram ,   London   (06.29.07)
22. Dror!
Ram ,   London   (06.29.07)
Let me have your e-mail address and I will send you a clip of what Hamas did to members of Fatah. I must say, I could only watch the first two seconds before I switched off. Will they be any kinder to Jews? I don't think so.
23. No. 21 Ram
NYC Girl   (06.29.07)
I never attend a synagogue. In fact, I have no interest in anything having to do with religion. However, I can recognize a delusional, self-destructive peacenik when I see one.
24. #22 Ram
Otter ,   Canada   (06.29.07)
Send it to The Religion of Peace.
25. dror etkes
gavriel ,   mevasseret   (06.29.07)
there are 1.3 million palestinians in west bank, and 265 000 jews How do you count 10 % from that?
26. To #13 :-)
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (06.29.07)
Anything based on computer science has to work. If not, your and our tech guys will go nuts and debug until it does. In conjunction with my previous post and to keep the numbers in check, there would be a 5 volume -1000 pages each - edition of "Statehood for Dummies" on the details of which every adult would have to pass a test prior to being granted citizenship. If you ever had to go through even one of those Dummy books, the mere sight of another one would result in one of two things: 1 You'd submit to ANYTHING. 2. You'd flee to the other side of the world. In either case, there would be peace. Both of my kids are computer freaks, and according to them, short of growing tomatoes and laying eggs, there's nothing these machines can't do, and they're diligently working on the tomatoes and the eggs. Nevertheless, on the day they hand me salt and pepper and tell me to eat the screen off this monitor, because that tomato I see is real, that's the day I'll disown them. As for me at the White House, nawwwwwwwwwww! Too many weird people hanging out in that place.
27. Natives
Shllomo ,   IL   (06.29.07)
It seems that your premise is misguided by one central concept- natives. Why are Palestinians any more "natives of this land" than Jews who actually have a historical proof of residence. If it is because they were here because of earlier conquests then you say might makes right (i.e. they took the land). In that case, we have taken it back and we are now the natives. If it is based on time or length of stay, we can prove earlier (and continuous) residence, so we are the natives. In other words, this is Jewish land and all negotiations should be around what can they do to be a part of Jewish land.
28. please listen
salma ,   jerusalem   (06.29.07)
words do not caust money / do not dammage any one nore protect the other / if there is no future to the words ,just forget it // but fence and settelments would cost a lot of money .would damage the life ofthe one but not protect the other // if there is a future to both the fence and the settelments it would not be so white .it is so black ... if i want to built a house i hope it will be mine alover my life ,, but when they decided to put these settelments what would they think to help and stay oin the age of the nation if it is 100 years it is nothing in the age of any nation //the old egyption built the pyramids to serve them all the age the after death time . but these settelments were started to be dammaged after a few years .. what a struggle or what is a hope of this nation
29. Why Arabs, antisemites or delusional leftists get married?
Uzi ,   Haifa   (06.30.07)
Because they haven't managed to blame Israel and/or the US for everything.

sawsan ,   jerusalem   (06.30.07)
arab in palastine blame israil in breaking the marrage and in breaking the family // it is the blame of destroying evry thing by building the fence the check points and the rules which are so hard to palastinians in the west bank and gaza .. believe me iam one of these suffering from these rules // so its post is not a joke but if it is .. it is a painfull one to me and many others like me // the leftlets may they feel such the pain of the others or may not i can not tell only my feelings
