1. Oh gawd, Abbas wants more money!
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (06.29.07)
2. Talks for what?Palestinians already have 2states(Gaza & WB)!
KMR ,   Middle East   (06.29.07)
3. Waste of time
First we need the Arabs to fulfill the obligations of the PREVIOUS agreements. Until they do that there is nothing to talk about period. Amend the PLO Charter. End all violence. End all incitement. Disarm all the various terrorist groups. It's so simple that even an Arab should be able to figure it out. It's not about the agreements so much as the complaince with existing agreements that matter.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.29.07)
4. Talk about what? - U-hauls for palis ;-p
andrew ,   miami,fl   (06.29.07)
5. Liar
12/1/2007 Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday called on Palestinians to refrain from internal fighting and to direct their guns only against Israeli "occupation." (Abbas, speaking during a rally marking the 42nd anniversary of the founding of his Fatah party)
freejay ,   Israel   (06.29.07)
6. abbass!

nabulsi   (06.29.07)
7. talk and nothing more
The filisten love talks ,they lie so well and nothing ever happens on their end except blah, blah, blah. What is so inexcusable is the stupidity displayed by Israeli leaders up to this point . They still haven't waken up to this DEAD end stratdegy and think something positive will come out of talking with pathological liars..
Marcel ,   Florida   (06.29.07)
8. peace talks
How does Abbas define peace talks? You give us land, Jerusalem and right of return, dismantle settlements, and we won't bomb your buses and restaurants. We have never heard Abbas say to his people, "It's time to accept our Jewish neighbors, live together with them in peace and mutual cooperation for all regional issues." We need to hear him say that.
Israel Zwick ,   nyc   (06.29.07)
9. Abbas!Do you want to parachute 4-6M "refugees" into Israel
If YES then why are you wasting everyones time and hopes for Peace . You know very well that this is a non starter. So stop bluffing my dear chap! Your Apartheid stories are also garbage as Israel has more support in the world than the probably less than 2 Million Afrikaners that organised Apartheid in South Africa in the 50s 60s 70s and 80s against 30 Million Blacks and whole of Africa . No one was prepared to support those of them whose philosophy was a seperate lavatory for Blacks and Whites
Alan ,   SA   (06.29.07)
10. Deal for Abbas
End all violence. End all incitement. Disarm all the various terrorist groups Accept that Jerusalem is jewish Forget about the right of return.. Get Gaza and most of the WB. Sign below.... or stop talking about peace
Yossi   (06.29.07)
11. Abbas is nothing but a foul joke.
Uzi ,   Haifa   (06.29.07)
12. Blah, Blah, Blah...please give us money..
blah! Tell them (palis) to start working for a living.
Jellybean ,   Chicago   (06.29.07)
13. Abbas Lip Service
Abbas likes to talk about peace and final agreements with the Jews. In truth, Abbas wants to destroy Israel just as much as Haniyeh does. Fatah and Hamas play the good cop, bad cop routine to keep the terror money flowing into their coffers. Abbas is a great liar, he learned from the greatest liar among the pal liars, Yasser Arafat . Abbas can jaw all he wants. Talk is cheap and coming from Abbas it is also fiction.
Not Jewish ,   USA   (06.29.07)
14. Make it clear to Abbas
There is no points to talks if the Palestinians are not going to accept a Jewish-majority Israel. He is just using Israel for propoganda purposes and to force concessions from Israel by pretending to enter talks. Tell him to accept a Jewish-majority Israel or get lost.
Sam ,   Canada   (06.29.07)
15. Abbas too weak to enforce a treaty..........
....unless gaza becomes a separate entity.
Bernard Ross ,   st. anns bay,jamaica   (06.29.07)
16. Not so fast, Abbas
You have honored ZERO agreements. After your Fatah suicide bombings and attacks, you don't deserve a square inch of that land anyway. So count your blessings, wolf in Western clothing.
Steve ,   San Francisco   (06.29.07)
17. Abbas: stop the bombings from Gaza, stop . . .
the suicide bombers, bring some order to the West Bank and Gaza, THEN we can talk!
(06.30.07)
18. he's too weak to keep his end of any agreement
he NEVER has been able to control terrorists, so why is anyone talking to him? an agreement with the palestinains now would be pointless because there is no one able to prevent the status quo from continuing, much less another intifada from restarting. the conditions were much better when the oslo accords were signed, and look at what happened to that.
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (06.30.07)
19. Answers
#3 “First we need the Arabs to fulfill the obligations of the PREVIOUS agreements.” What about previous Israeli agreements like dismantling the settlements which have been ruled to be illegal by the international community? #10 If this is the Israeli framework for peace then peace will never be achieved in the region. Let’s be reasonable. #12 “Tell them (palis) to start working for a living” Where exactly would you have them work? #18 “he's too weak to keep his end of any agreement” That’s very true on the other side as well. The current Israeli government is too weak to dismantle the settlements in the West Bank. So why talk to the current Israeli government if they cannot meat the demands set by the international community.
