33. BITTERNESS is POSION
Roy Galutia ,   Selah Washington USA   (07.08.07)
bitterness is a posion that travel from generation to generation and tears up ones soul and those around them forcing the next generation to continue the posion strain... Jesus advice to his disciples was to pray for those that abuse you.... .....this is Israels oppertunity to show the world the right way to end bitterness and build relationship with those that have needs.... there is something to Trumans words "The Buck Stops Here"

Stalin never carried out any ethnic cleansings per se. All of his "cleansings" were purely political. Also, when, exactly, did the Russians collaborate with the Germans? The Germans and Russia signed a non-aggression pact in August of '39 for the sole and only purpose of allowing the Germans to invade Poland unhindered, but with the understanding that Moscow and Berlin would divide Poland between them. Hitler invaded Poland on Sept. 1, '39. Russia in June of '41, all deals were off, the war ended in 1945, Stalin died in March of '53, and the USSR wasn't disbanded untiil l991. I get a little confused, when you speak of people of the former USSR in the decades following the war. During most of the post-war decades, the USSR was not "former," but very miuch intact. I wish I could make sense of what you're trying to say, other than that the natives of the various Soviets, were very anti-semitic, but I get bogged down in that strange history.
35. #23,30 - Valueble Hebrew Lesson Needed Here

"Mitz Tapuzim" tastes much better than "Yehudim K'tumim" and is proper Hebrew
36. To Danny Adino Ababa
Rivka M. ,   Cleveland Hts. USA   (07.09.07)
If we all lived our lives by the code of “an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth" then we would all be eyeless and toothless. Where is the logic in that?
37. Rivka #36: Maybe Danny Adino Ababa has done a great service
Steve ,   US   (07.09.07)
Personally, I am thankful for this bit of insight. As a Jew, my first reaction was to think we must not turn these people away. I remember the way Jewish refugees were treated by America, England and by the rest of the world. The West turned a blind eye to the Nazi genocide. Some actively assisted the Nazi slaughter of the Jews. But then Jews were fleeing for our very lives. Things may not be good in Egypt for these refugees -- not as good as Israel --- but we know of no genocide in Egypt. Beyond that, as was pointed out to me last week, many of these refugees are Muslims. Might we fear one day they will join our enemies thereby turning on the Jews? It seems to me Danny Adino Ababa gives credence to such a possibility, doesn't he? I was reminded of the Somalian refugees that found their way to Minneapolis-St. Paul and because of their religious beliefs, Muslim taxi drivers turned on American travelers. These refugees from Somalia refused to transport customers carrying or suspected of carrying alcohol. I think Danny should be listened to and factored into the equation.
38. Following your logic...
Andrew K ,   Washington, DC   (07.10.07)
Danny, you're complaining that you were mistreated as a refugee and now that you're in a position to prevent the same from happening, you instead encourage it? Just when does this absurd cycle end?
