Ministries admit: Israel not ready for war
1. Israel too quick to send money to terrorist Fatah
What a sick nation . You show no faith in God and continue to lick the boots of the one who divide Israel for a non-existent peace. Instead of awakening and changing direction from the the 100 % failure of Oslo and the Bush Road Mpa you continue down this suicidal path. No wonder your problems pile up higher and higher.

2. Wouldn't an accurate headline be...
Home front still working towards ideal situation.... I am sure this headline will soon be on Al Manar.

3. WHAT A GREAT STORY FOR ISRAEL'S ENEMIES!!
Whoever let that bit of info slip out should be severely reprimanded for giving the enemy an open window on the commencement of renewed hostilities. No wonder the Syrians and the hezbies and the hamans are all beating the war drums so publicly and so openly. They're getting all the info they need from the loose lips of the press and the idiots who divulge such types of information.

4. Let corrupt MKs pay out of their own pocket!
Surely they've taken more than $1.2 million in corrupt kickbacks between them. What this article REALLY says is that the government is prepared to allow Israelis to die as collateral damage for their ineptitude and corruption.

5. Ministry says Homefront not ready
Hey the government is admitting what the restof us have already known since the end of last summer's war! So now it is up to the government to do something about it now, not later! Order the Gas Masks ASAP,make ready the shelters and start shoring up the homefront, don't wait until the sirens wail to do something, which will be too little too late! Learn from the mistakes you made last summer, act now, get the gas masks out to the people now!!
Roxy ,   Israel   (07.11.07)
6. #3, And to add, our General says no war this summer!
Why? Because WE aren't ready for one! What a GREAT opportunity for Israels enemies to pounce hard and fast. What is our governement doing? Screaming to our enemies: ATTACK US! WE ARE SITTING DUCKS NOW! Its like they are all taking stupid pills.

7. do all defense issue end up in the media
It seems every problem with Israels defense end up being in the media I am sure Iran & Syria would be very interested in thid little piece of information. The IDF publicly say how their money has been spent and explain how there are going to be shortages or certain things and they will be cutting down on training because the government isnt giving them enough money. Shouldnt defense issues be between the IDF and the people who need to know not the general public .. I cant imagine the arabs or Iranians telling the whole world how they have been spending their defense budget or if they were not ready for another war.

8. Olmert regime has conveniently forgoton about Lebanon
The Olmert regime has a very short memory especialy when it comes to the Lebanon war. After the fiasco in Lebanon and the front line reserves didnt even have some of the basics the government promised to increase the defense budget but instead just 1 year on they are decreasing it. Whilst the Israeli soilders dont have anough bullet proof vests Olmert has just handed over thousands of new ones to the PA security forces .. another plan to strenghen Abbas and to strehghen his forces against Hamas at the same time IDF soilders are left exposed to enemy bullets.... those soilders who are not equiped hey they are just going to be acceptble casulty rates better to make sure that Abbas and his forces are well equiped to take on Hamas of they try and take over. Defense budgets get cut soilders are going to be left without equipment or training well hey more soilders wil die but we will still win the war but we will just do it on the cheap. Money was promised to hospitals in areas like Sderot to strenghen them but it never came. Fixing up the shelters only a fraction of them have been done up. There was a first aniersery memorial service for the vicitms of the Lebanon war the PM who started it and the president ellect Peres both snubbed it and Peretz was preasured into attending and agreed to go at the last minute. Once the IDF was given what they needed when they needed it and the most important thing wasnt the money but it was trying to keep every soilder alive now the soilders dont matter anymore .. Olmert is spending over $1 billion on a neuclear bunker for him and his cabinet but he wont find some money for doing up civilian shelters or giving every citizen a gas mask. Shouldnt be talking about releasing Marwan Bargouti instead we should be talking about releasing Yigael Amir ... he would do alot more for Israels security at this time than any nuke could under this regime.
