1. Try to be a little more tactful with your titles ynet
(07.12.07)
Eldad doesnt have a mother, aleha hashalom.
2. yet again I need to give my 2 agurot
izzy d ,   jeru   (07.13.07)
first off: As much as my heart bleeds for the parents and the kidnapped soldiers (yada yada) I think that there is a price that is too high to pay for their return. I think that saying there is no high enough price to pay is a dangerous and irresponsible public move. and second: to #1 ... pleeease pleeease tell me that you are not seriously considering your response to be anything but a joke and well really hysterically ridiculously politically correct liberal garbage
3. I don't know why Jews voted for Ehud Olmert.
Steve ,   USA   (07.13.07)
We've seen nothing but incompetence, kidnappings, loss of national confidence and pain. Why would anyone have voted for Mr. Olmert?
4. olmert
grol ,   london   (07.13.07)
and waht the hell is that idot olmert doing to bring our brothers back?? nothing!
5. 'Soldiers' lives priceless'
Arthur ,   Israel   (07.13.07)
Of only those who are kidnapped. Those who are in service are less priced. Army is not giving them any incentives to those who have finished their term after serving for 2 to 3 years; whatever little they were receiving threw insurance is halted from this July!? Israel is playing with the lives of soldiers.
6. #2 original ynet title
israel ,   Israel   (07.13.07)
mentioned Eldad's mother as taking part. They changed it. These TWO Mothers will do what they feel they have to do, with or without YOUR permission by the way. Silly mums should have scuttled their kids off to France and the States like the tired big shots and their wives. But these are quality israeli mothers, and not scumbags, so they wouldn't do that.
7. #2
tma   (07.13.07)
I dont' understand your response to #1. I don't know the facts, but if Eldad's mother is no longer alive, then #1's pointing it out to ynet makes sense. What a hell his family is going through, having lost a wife/mother, and Eldad in the hands of Jew-hating terrorists. My heart goes out to all three kidnapped victims and their families.
8. I Love Olmert-and not ashamed to say it
Shir ,   Finland   (07.13.07)
There have been only two major suicide bombings in the last two years. Olmert understands what is good for Israelis, while they can´t see it for themselves. It´s strange how israelis were contented with their leaders in the early 2000´s when suicide bombings occured in every corner, and now that nothing like that happens, everyone is angry and frustrated. Israelis are self-destructive and should be protected from themselves. Kind of like Palestinians should too. I am truly sorry for these kidnapping victims. Considering history, victims taken by Hezbollah are probably deceased, but I hope Shalit will be freed soon.
9. Thank you tma
#1   (07.13.07)
Glad that there are caring grieving people like us around. I can just echo what you expressed. Yediot ran a detailed weekend supplement article on the families when the tragic kidnapping happened. I remember reading of the modest and firmly rooted Regev family, and the loss of his mother aleha hashalom, sustained by Eldad. I think the family had just attended the first azkara ceremony of her passing, when this added tragedy hit them. I cry inside for this noble family and with the Shalits and Goldwassers. And now too, for the Reich family of Moshav Yuvalim who lost their beautiful son and brother Arbel, when he was killed this week, while his Givati group were weeding out more terrorist scum.
10. shir,I know why you love olmert!
Keren ,   SP-Israel   (07.13.07)
It is because he made his children evade the Army and go to live in France and USA. Same as you, who, by the age of 21,being Israeli,is there in the confort of Finland, while your compatriots are sent to war by the olmert you love! It is not fair,is it?
11. To dizzy #2
fizzy ,   kfarsa   (07.13.07)
Mothers will fight to the end, for their children. That's what mothers do, d'izzy. Eldad doesn't have a mother to stand up and fight for him,d'izzy. Ehud and Gilad do have mothers, ud mayah v'esrim, but they will fight for Eldad too, and we will be there for them, with or without you, d'izzy. Take your vertigo medication on time in future. It hopefully prevents people like you from spluttering nonsense.
12. Keren you´re a walking joke
Shir ,   Finland   (07.13.07)
While it is true that I haven´t served in Israeli army, it is because I am studying economics (future BSc Econ). My relatives there have all served in the army, my dad has fought in one war and grandad in 1948 war and several others. So Ive kind of deserved my nationality of Israel even without doing anythying remarkable. Secondly there is nothing nice about Finland really. Except the high standard of education. Finnish School system is recognized as one of the best in the whole World. Other than that, climate is harsh (up to minus 86 F (-30C) during wintertime, which lasts about 5 months), streets are slippery during winter, and a lot of car accidents occur. This is also an extremely boring country and the people are very uncommunicative. It is most definately easier to live in Israel despite of all the threats there. Much more people die here in car accidents (than israelis in suicide bombings) because of weather conditions, and several freeze to death every year. If you lived here, even for a few months during wintertime, you´d come back a much more humble. And Yes, Olmert is a Great leader. He can actually talk to arab leaders, he doesn´t need Western Mediators to speak with them. He has also been able to stop suicide bombings. Bombs used to blow up in every corner of Tel Aviv every month, sometimes every week. I am truly sorry for what has happened to Shalit, but at the same time, he is still ALIVE. If suicide bombings occured as often as they used to, who knows how many good young men and soldiers israelis would have lost already. Less civil casualties has led me to support Olmert´s government strongly.
13. La Shir Finlandia
Lashir Yarden   (07.13.07)
Very nice about the degree and all that. But you must have holidays. Spend it in Sderot, and then we'll talk about your ( and no on else's)iceman hero. His pals prefer ksamim at the moment. Your nonsense about him and would be suicide bombers? You have no idea how many pals our brave wonderful chayalim catch BEFORE they manage to kill. It's best that its not publicized. Just dont kid yourself, ok? In Helsinki, I guess you can continue to kid yourself, actually. But you're the only one, as we here know and live the truth. See ya in S'derot?
14. Well, if life´s too tough for you in Sderot
Shir ,   Finland   (07.13.07)
Then why not move away?Either STOP COMPLAINING or move out of the Beautiful State of Israel. If I´d stoop to your level, I´d remind you that your grandparents were probably far away from Israel, when my grandparents fought for the Independence of Israel against five Arab States to make it possible for useless whiners such as yourself to arrive to Israel.
15. By the way I have no need
Shir ,   Finland   (07.13.07)
to be popular around israelis or palestinians. Israelis really like it, when someone tells them what they want to hear. Like, keep killing more arabs, they are no good, deport all of them. Palestinians on the other hand want sympathy and pity, and get mad when you criticize them. I don´t care about that either. I say what I in my heart feel is the truth, because I unlike MANY jews living in Europe and US, I CARE about what´s going on, CARE about the future of Israel and follow the situation on daily basis.
16. Shir we definitely need to meet in S'derot
Yardena   (07.13.07)
even though it's a long drive for me, from the north, you silly person. Happy to do it though if it thaws you out a bit.
