Has anybody in your goverment stated how it is gonna be verified and just what will be the response should they renege on their promises?

1. It stops hunting 200 palestinians prividing they don't engage in terrorist activity. Isn't this the main target in Palestina? To stop the terrorist activity?
2. Israel doesn't loose anything. Well, this move may not work (of course). So the things will just return to the previous status quo.
3. The move gives choices. Having a choices often works unexpectedly good.
4. The Israel move creates the possibility to save the face. Very important possibility given the current situation.

It is a well documented fact that the Fatah members have more than one gun. It's not as if they're registered gun owners, so it's hard to monitor if they turn in all of their guns.
Additionally, calling this a 'hand over' is disingenuous. They are SELLING their guns for MARKET PRICE + AMNESTY, getting over 50,000 NIS for some rifles.
This deal is RIDICULOUS, and endangers Israelis.
