1. "Oslo Was Israel's Greatest Mistake"
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (07.17.07)
A quote from Mr Abbas ..... Our leaders believe all the lies he tells us but when he tells us the truth, they ignore him.
2. Excellent Summation of the Situation
emanon ,   USA   (07.17.07)
Sadly, Israels leaders just don't seem to get it. If history were only repeating twice, that would be an improvement. How many times has the leader of the terrorist factions said to Israel "If you only . . . . , we will be at peace with you" and how many times has Israel complied, only to be told either "No, that's not what we said" or "Oh yeah, one more thing . . . ". Recognizing PLO / PLA, forcing Israelis from their own land and giving it t the terrorists, ceding more land, releasing money . . . the list goes on. What has Israel received in return? Heartache, grief and more terror delivered to its doorstep. But Peace? No. Not yet, not ever. Golda Meir was right. To paraphrase her "There will be peace when they love their children more than they hate us". Until then, it will be al-Jezzera TV giving Farfur and Nahol as examples to the children of the terrorists of how to live your lives: Go blow yourself up to kill Jews and you will be worshiped as a hero.
3. This article is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Olmert is a total fool.
Gary A. MD ,   Boston MA USA   (07.17.07)
Olmert has always made poor decisions, to say the least. He is letting murderers out of jail, and what do we get......NOTHING. Oslo was a farce and so is this. Learn from your mistakes Israel, do not repeat them.
4. to #3
Feminist ,   New York   (07.17.07)
Guess who is fool. How much money you get in your account. Compare this with our leader Olmert account. Now, look who is fool?
5. Israel in Deep Neurotic State
Malcolm   (07.17.07)
The repetition of destructive errors without applying lessons learned from past mistakes is the VERY definition of neurosis. In the case of Israel there isn't a single leader or group of citizens able to reverse this disease which appears to be fatal. This is exactly what the ayatollahs are counting on and why dance so often in Tehran. When Ajmadinejad stated that the countdown had already begun, it shows how he understands and appreciates the neurotic state of the collective Jewish mind. Essentially Israel was screwed the moment they considered Oslo because once that happened they couldn't reverse course when it turned out to be an Arab deception.
6. Thank you Mr. Rosenfeld, but...
Arn ,   Tel-Aviv   (07.17.07)
All this changes nothing. We are led by utter fools. End of story. When Israel is left to pay the terrible price for the blindness, stupidity and gross incompetence of our (so-called) leaders, these people will disappear from view blaming everybody but themselves. Corruption touches more than finances - it points to the manifest rot in the mindsets of these people. God help us!
7. einstein and pogo
dan kaplan ,   usa   (07.18.07)
einstein - insanity is repeating the same thing again and again, each time expecting a different result. pogo - we have met the enemy, and they is us. who knew that pogo was jewish ?
8. ITS TIME FOR THE LUNATIC ASYLUM FOR OLMERT & CO
Sid   (07.18.07)
9. dead right!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (07.18.07)
and now the chief architect of oslo has been sworn in as the new president!!
10. Never Again?
R. Alkalai ,   USA   (07.18.07)
The leaders of Israel are not worthy of governing the sacred birthright Hashem has bestowed upon us. Instead of holding their heads up fearless, in dignity and resolve to protect Israel and her people, they grovel upon their knees and capitulate to Bush and the Arabs to protect themselves. They walk willingly into the cattle cars, taking the Jewish people with them. Never again?
11. You are right but Israelis don't care enough to do anything
RBY ,   Zichron yaakov   (07.18.07)
about it.
12. peres is obviously senile
jack bauer ,   usa   (07.18.07)
oh wait his speeches were borderline suicidal back then? Well just wait and see what else he can come up with in his old age
13. #11 That's because we have walked away from Hashem
ruth ,   natanya   (07.18.07)
and his words and went a whoring after strange voices and false promises. We Israelis are the ones to blame for our downfall and no one else.
14. #6 G-d help us indeed....no more to say (END)
Yael ,   Jerusalem   (07.18.07)
15. Good News Everybody! There is a solution
Brooke   (07.19.07)
There is a briliant and fair plan that BOTH Israelis and "pali" people can embrace. Offer each pali family $50,000 AFTER they leave the Territories. The plan is at www.jerusalemsummit.org Over 90% of palis polled said they would take the money and run. Between the taxes Israel collects and the billions stolen by the pali leadership, the money is there to quickly and effectively execute the plan. They will be the richest emigrees in history! Surely their arab brethern would welcome their rich cousins, as would Cuba, Libya, France, Italy and the home of the murderous Oslo Accords, Norway. Be sure to explain to all that Olmert, Livni, Barak, Peres and other murderous treasonous Israelis will also leave with the palis---but they are free of charge! G-d bless Israel and every inch of her divinely sanctioned land that no Israeli has the right to steal from the Jews and give away for further dhimmi lies and deceit. Tell Bush and Rice we will believe anything they have to say AFTER they move the US embassy to Jerusalem as he promised during his elections. B'H"
