4. Ugh #1
Korem ,   New York, USA   (07.23.07)
As an American Jew, I'm sick of other Jews accusing the Christians of "pretending" to be friends. SOME believe in the whole second messiah death of the jews nonsense, most do not.
5. #1
ephraim ,   diaspora   (07.23.07)
It is very sad that you and many others in Israel feel this way about Christians. I would be the first to admit that there is a vail over their eyes regarding there Hebraic roots but they also genuinely love you. Why can't you separte in your mind those who love you from those who are ignorant of Judaism? Your heart is filled with hate. May HaShem heal you and put love and appreciation in your heart! Baruch HaShem! Baruch Israel! Shalom to Yerushaleim
6. Christian fundamentalism is worse than Islamic
also christian ,   secularistan   (07.23.07)
...because they own a nuclear bomb already, and they don't really want us to have peace here. They call for holly wars against people they know nothing about, and I don't really recognize any of Jesus's teachings in their "preemptive" war policy. God save us from these people, I heared one of them saying that Rabin's murder came from God after he planned to return land for peace.
7. Evangelicals are a farse!
Aharon ,   Nederland   (07.23.07)
Evangelical Churches ad its leaders are untrustworthy. They are designed to satisfy the short-term needs of faithless people in exchange for a tithe, with the objective of gaining power and influence. They are immoral, under the banner of morality! See how they politicize all sort of event. They usurp the Jewish and Christian (Orthodox, Catholic, and Non-Pentecostal Churches) institutions gathering, under a baseless doctrine, elements of both religions.
8. LIE...LIE...LIE...LIE...LİE...lıe...

"I just came back from Washington DC, where there were 4,000 Christian delegates from every state in America, and we were lobbying our government on behalf of Israel and on behalf of the future of western civilization as we know it. Yes, the Evengalical Church in the US and around the world is completely standing with Israel and the Jewish people," Stearns declared. .." *** KEEP SLEEPING.

have a look to the lovingkindness of the Christians, examine it carefully. The fundamentalist Christians want us (Jews and Israelis) to fulfill their Meggido prophecy. After we have done that for them we become irrelevant and should either convert or die. which is the same thing that the Roman Catholics want of us. Quite frankly I am tired of having to defend my religious choice. We are the Chosen Nation and no matter what the Roman Catholics and the fundamentalist Christians say basically its just a rebellion of their jealous pagan soul attempting to control what isn't theirs. The Jewish soul is unique -- it is a gift from G-d and it isn't for sale to the highest Christian bidder. Enough with their hypocracy already! As for the Iranians -- at the right time in the right place we will know how to take care of them all on our own without any Fundamentalist Christian friends dribble!

Well, let's see: If I had to make the choice between having 2.1 billion people one of the tenets of which is "love thy neighbor as thyself" on my side or 1.5 billion of some other folks one of the tenets of which is "kill the infidels wherever you find them," it wouldn't be much of a choice, especially, if there were only a grand total of +/- 14 million of me. Whether or not anyone wants to admit it, if it weren't for the fact that certain people, who want to wipe Israel off the map, weren't just a little bit leery of what some of those Christians might do, if they started s--t with Israel, it may very well already have been wiped off the map. Since Israel has no oil and we can grow our own carrots, could it possibly be that now and then somebody just wants to do the right thing? Although I certainly don't mean to be disrespectful, but Hashem hasn't been too helpful for the past 2000 years. I hate to be so blunt, but talking big doesn't always get the job done, and the mere fact that 46% of the world's Jews live in N. America vs. only 38% in Israel, it does say something for those Christians of whatever ilk in the midst of which the majority of Jews seem to be pretty content. Maybe you should reconsider who your friends are and not disparage them too much. Some day, you might need them. Besides, we have those nice B2's, F22's with F35's on the way. Trust me, those "other folks" understand those things a lot better than all the praying under the sun.
13. Hashem acts in mysterious ways!

15. To #2: it was Christian Europe that gassed the Jews
Boaz   (07.24.07)
I see #1's point: a millenium of Christians murdering Jews should give you pause. Just as the Muslims are not our eternal enemies, so the Christians have not always been our friends. Be careful what you wish for.
16. Most Christians care more about Israel than American Jews.
Palestiniansareamyth ,   USA   (07.24.07)
Which are assilmilated, intermarried, loathing self-haters. American Jews can learn a lot from American Chrsitians on being proud of who they are and defending themselves.

23. #22 on the anniversary of the Expulsion from Spain...
Sally Forth   (07.24.07)
Yes, it is Tisha B'Av and it is also the anniversary of the signing of the Expulsion order by "Sus Majestades los Reyes Catolicos de Espana Ysabela y Ferdinando" ( Their majesties the Catholic Kings of Spain Isabel and Ferdinand) as a Sephardic Jew I am having a bit of difficulty understanding why it is that I must shut my mouth. Who exactly are you to deny me my right to state my opinion in my own land! I suppose that the Moslems (los Moros) were right about your country after all they called Spain "Al Andaluz" which translated means "The Vandals" So you continue the vandal tradition with impunity and think that you have the right and privilege to attempt to silence a Jew. Ms. Garcia those days are over!
24. To #12
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (07.24.07)
If I remember correctly, that's what they said at the end of WWII when there was nothing but rubble everywhere: "You call this winning?" Don't believe everything our press peddles. Talk to some kids that have been over there and why they volunteer to go back. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article2121006.ece
25. Ignore hypocritical anti-Torah hatemonger & slanderer "Jews"
Paqid 16 Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (07.24.07)
I've lived in Ra'anana since 1985. All of my friends are Orthodox Jews, including about 200 families of Yemenite Jews in my Beit K'nesset (synagogue), Moreshet Avot, and several hundred Ashkenazi Orthodox and Jews in the general Tel Aviv area. *Not one of us* -- *NOT ONE* -- in *all* of these, thinks -- much less spews -- hatred, venom, vitriol, bile and animosity that you see from too many of these talkbackers. The hatemongers, liars, slanderers and impugners are what makes Israel, all Jews and Judaism look bad in the eyes of the world; and that's khilul ha-Sheim (profanation of the Name). I profoundly and passionately disagree with Christian doctrines but my disagreement is based not on any hate but strictly fact: historical documentation demonstrates that Christian doctrines are exactly 180 degrees opposite to the Torah that historical Ribi Yehoshua of Natzrat and his original Netzarim Jewish followers practiced and taught. If you would educate yourselves by reading Oxford historian James Parkes (The Conflict of the Church and the Synagogue), you're eyes would be opened to how you're following NOT Ribi Yehoshua, as you think, but, rather, the Hellenist Roman gentiles -- idolators who worshipped Z*eus and the sun-g*od -- after 135 CE. I reach out because I was once in your shoes and I care about you, not out of hate. Most of the hatred of Christians comes from seculars and those who are most assimilated in the Diaspora and those who are most uneducated ignorant, mired in medieval superstition, in the Ultra-Orthodox world. The latter is somewhat expected, but why do the first two categories hate so vehemently? There's a reason why seculars, especially outside of Israel, are such hate-mongers... and it isn't what you expect. Christian persecutions are merely their excuse. Of the hundreds of Orthodox friends I know, *not one* -- *not one* -- thinks or expresses hatred of today's Christians for Church persecutions of centuries past; not even for the Holocaust. Such hate-mongering is a transgression of Torah and, unlike the seculars, Orthodox Jews take that seriously. Notice, first of all, that most of these talkbackers who call themselves Jews are not from Israel. They are from the Diaspora where their primary need is to show that they are different goyim. But they long ago turned their back on the Torah that defines the Jew, so they have only one thing that distinguishes them from gentile Christians -- they disbelieve in J*esus. Thus, they equate the degree of disbelief (read hatred, venom, vitriol, bile and animosity) in J*esus with how good a "Jew" they perceive themselves to be. Ahhh... now the light goes on and you understand. It isn't you at all. It's the misojudaic self-hating nature of secular Jews, especially those living among gentile Christians. They hate what they fear and they fear because they aren't solidly grounded in Torah. Further, many of these misojudaic talkbackers aren't Jews at all. Some are neo-Nazis and Muslims posing as Jews precisely to spread propaganda; to foment hatred toward Jews and Israel. That's their contribution to their misojudaic and anti-Israel "cause." Don't be suckered in by any hate-monger who hides behind anonymity and refuses to crawl out from under their rock and identify themselves. Ignore the heretic meshumadim (apostates). Most Orthodox Jews (who don't bother with Ynet and don't post talkbacks here) appreciate your help, welcome your friendship -- as long as you're tolerant of our profound disagreement with your Christian doctrines -- and thank you for your help, particularly in urging Pres. Bush to keep his word and move the American Embassy to Yerushalayim. And thanks Newt -- but Pres. Bush promised that too. I'll believe it when I see it. M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (07.24.07)
More than 50,000 avoid IDF service It seems that a lot of Israelis/Jews not only don't want to fight for Israel, but they literally use god to avoid it. Hashem, I'm sure, is proud and pleased.
