Black college slams UK boycott against Israel     Yaakov Lappin
31. #25 Paul
By the way, you wrote, "If it wasnt for WInston Churchill and the RAF there wouldnt be any Jews left in the world now, or English, or Americans or Russians,". That's just ridiculous. Don't assume that a total collapse of free Europe in WWII would have meant the destruction of the US. That's just a silly claim for you to make. I mean, REALLY, REALLY SILLY.

except to give a backhanded slap at Americans. LOL it's so funny when people perpetuate their own stereotypes. Is it any wonder that almost every inane reality TV show in the USA always includes one hyper-critical, arrogant, stuck-up, self-righteous Brit?

34. Shooting themselves in the head
Most decent people came to realise what this boycott was all about .Hysterical Israeli bashing.By biased British twats, who found convienent bedfellows in the palestinians. Now they will try to shamefully backtrack, realising they bit more than they can chew.Good riddance.

35. #21 MK is nuts
Britain is one of Israel's biggest supporters you fool, we're still selling you lot weapons even after the carnage in Lebanon last year. The boycott is not backed by the people or the government here.

"Britain is one of Israel's biggest supporters you fool," LOL. With friends like that ... "we're still selling you lot weapons even after the carnage in Lebanon last year." Actually, I guess you have already conveniently forgotten about the embargo threatened by Britain for spare parts that Israel needed for its F-4 fleet. So, THAT's what friends are for, huh? And, I liked the "carnage" mention. I could rest my case on that point alone, at least with respect to your obvious sympathies. " The boycott is not backed by the people or the government here." Really? What have they done to stop it? ... nothing. Brits have been blaming Israel for everything short of global warming (and I'm sure you'll get around to that, too, before the jig is up on that charade). And you have the gall to claim to be one of Israel's strongest supporters? That's a laugh. Please list a few pieces of evidence to support your contention. Just one or two will be fine.

38. Strange thing about that article..
is it had all of 1 Jew who backed the resolution. I can also find some moslems who are completely disgusted with their fellow moslems. That sure doesn't mean the whole of the arab world is in their court. Stop taking one example and trying to generalize. it's sick and twisted. And utterly false and misleading.

39. Thanks but no thanks
"We detest efforts to silence free expression" is not a Jewish idea and the reason why we have gays marching through Jerusalem and employees being forced like slaves to work on Shabbat so the secular can spend their money in a manner like other nations. Torah is about loving G-d and his rules above all absolute statements such as the umbrella of freedom of expression. Yes express youselves but not at the cost to Israel, insulting G-d and Torah. If they said they were gaianst the boycott because it is contrary to Torah and will only bring curses on the nations who curse Israle, I would be great ful.

41. Is he trying to backtrack now
Someone should have told him that Isreali's are not in the habit of turning the other cheek.

42. #36 - Chris you really should read the link
you provided, here is a quote from the article " are a loosely knit collection of academics and trade unionists linked to groups such as the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Jews for the Boycotting of Israeli Goods, and Bricup, the British Committee for Universities of Palestine.". As you can see while some Jewish people are involved to imply they are reason for it is wrong. They simply are among "many" and I use that term loosely, since the vote was 158 for vs 99 against = a total of 267 votes. While I have not seen the list of those who voted for the resolution my guess is beyond the 3 people mentioned in the article, most are not Jewish. I would suggest a little research into the groups listed in the quotes I provided would reveal funding from anti -Israeli and pro-Palestinian sources. In addition 158 votes seems a trivial number except for the headlines it garnered. Mark from Georgia

43. And here's the rest of the story
In 1948, nearly 900,000 Jews - indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa - lived in what are now known as the "Arab States." ~ Today, 99% of these indigenous Jewish communities no longer exist. ~ Arab governments forced us to leave, confiscated our personal and communal property and stripped us of our citizenships. http://www.jimena.org/

44. Britain Is Israel's Poodle
We all know that Britain has always been the poodle to Israel, like Blair in the Lebanon war last year and the sanctuary given to the criminal Berezovsky, no the British, like the US have always propped up Israel.

45. #25, I think you'll find that the US
was supplying the parts for your fighter planes and oil. Unless you think you'd have won the battle of britain with no ammunition, guns or petrol - the hint would be to look at the machine guns the spitfire and hurricane used, ie the brownings... PS hundreds of thousands of Jews were in the States.

46. #35, really what weapons is the UK selling Israel?
Maybe you have us confused with Saudi?
