Please add the disgusting treatment of animals in China to your campaign

Frank ,   Barcelona, Spain   (08.22.07)
Should we do the same? I am american and i am ashamed of death penalty and worldwide wars: irak, vietnam, afganistan, korea,... should we ban all us products?! I think so!!
33. Boicot

34. Boycott Israel, Free Palestine, boycott USA free Hawaii
Phillip ,   Deland, Florida, USA   (08.29.07)
Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. According to who that China pollutes more than the USA? Also, where did the USA move their manufacturing operations? Per capita, the USA and Europeans pollute more than China
35. Mao is still alive and leading China?
Phillip ,   Deland, Florida, USA   (08.29.07)
Last I heard, he's dead.
36. Did you visit China?
Zhang Jia-dong ,   Shanghai   (02.02.08)
Sir, I think you are very serious for Chinese human right and civil right. But problem is that did you vist China and how much do you know about China. China is different from the rest of the world. According to the Western standard, China is not a liberal democracy. But China is progressing in all arenas, political system, economy, society, and many others. You mentioned China is using its products to conquer the world. I am so surprised becasue I can't understand what you mean. Chiense is selling goods worldwide through western trade standard. What is wrong about it? So, I think you are a racist who is seeing the world by colors and ethnics, not by realities.
37. Olympics
Sylvia ,   Budapest, Hungary   (03.14.08)
I plan on boycotting by not watching. China does not deserve the rights for the Olympic games, or the opportunity of making money on it due to the human rights issues.
38. You read my mind
Erika V Zemmol   (03.20.08)
First, I would like to thank the author for this article. I can't say enough how much I am reminded of Nazism when I read about what is taking place in China now. Particularly the One-Child policy and the brutal way that the government forces abortions on women, often very late into their pregnancies, and sterilizes them, is so like Nazism, or like the Inquisition, both of which killed my ancestors. When I hear about women in China being strapped down to tables against their will, without anesthesia and without a thought as to what they want, having their children killed in their bodies, how can a person not be sickened? How can the US turn a blind eye in the name of "business" or self-interest? Nazism is alive and well in "Communist" China. I for one am writing as many members of government in China , the US and all the embassies as I possibly can. Why is it that more people don't want to expose these atrocities ? Where is the outrage? I plan to boycott the Olympics. I also hate the UNFP, I've heard they've been involved in covering up and aiding these horrors. And just an FYI, Hillary plans to reinstate US funding for the UNFP. Does anyone know of a candidate who would want to stop these horrors and defund the organizations like the UN, which support them? erika-zemmol@sbcglobal.net
39. Funny
Jason Conrad ,   Atlanta, USA   (04.14.08)
Indeed, most of the comments are "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." The fact is: with few exceptions, people change their views about China when they visit China and see for themselves that this ancient country is becoming more propserous, open, tolerant , and confident with each passing day. Few people in China doubt that democracy will come in its due course, but at a pace determined by the Chinese people themselves, not by the outside world.
40. Think independently and not ban sport
Winnie   (04.14.08)
US invaded Iraq in 2003 and has an awful record of violating human rights both within its border and outside. It occupies Iraq and Afghanistan, and everyday its unlawful forces are bringing killings to innocent civilians in these countries under the name of "anti-terrorism". So what? have we done anything to boycott US? Nothing. You just can't do it. Don't be the dogs of the media, and let them control your mind.
41. just prejudice
da la jiao ,   Canton China   (04.14.08)
To boycott Beijing Olympics, you guys would find out all kinds of reasons. As Chinese, at first, I did not understand why some of you hate China so much. But finally, I found a word, bias.
42. We Chinese know you are our enemies
Cheen ,   Qingdao,China   (04.15.08)
A freind in need is a freind in deed. Now , we need the support from all over the world. see what you have done to us, we will make you payback all these someday in futher.
43. hypercritical
woo see this ,   canada   (04.16.08)
So Shanghai shouldn't protect so many jewish during WWII since they have no human right. So, how can a country has no human right protect the refuges from another nation when themselves are suffering from the war? Let's boycotts US as they raise 1.2 million death and injury in Iraq!
44. American trade black slaves, but Chinese never ever
Evan ,   NZ   (04.22.08)
France, America are the two biggest trader of black slaves. They now talking about human-rights. What a joke! Are black people really treated fairly in America?
45. Ban the U.S.? WHAT???
Brad Strong ,   Fort Dix, NJ   (05.12.08)
First of all, comparing China to Nazi Germany is not Nonsense. They are doing the same things Nazi Germany was doing back then and maybe even worse, the only thing that makes other countries look the other way is money. And for the U.S., they have made mistakes before but liberating Iraq and Afghanistan isn't one of them. Sure some idocent people have died but thats the cost of freedom, It sucks but thats life. I've seen first hand what is going on over there and it is ugly, but the people there are very greatful for every day they are free. So many of them have shook my hand and thanked me for what we were doing there. So don't say those wars are even close to being an excuse for banning the U.S. China kills idocent people everyday in Tibet, forces child labor, no human rights, pollutes more and more everyday without concern. So should people boycott the Olympics in China? The answer is clear! So you decide...
46. BOYCOTTTTTTTT!!!!
cynthia ,   wwashington dc   (07.19.08)
Why do you eat dogs??????
47. boycott!
(07.31.08)
As a Chinese, I think boycotting beijing olympics is a good way to let China government to think about how they manage the country. Aslo, beijing hold this olymipics game just benefit citizens liviing in Bejing not all chinese people, further more, China goverment use a lot of resource gathered in other provinces rather than beijing into beijing construction. So boycotting Beijing is a useful way to give some pressure on China government!
