31. Begin is a war criminal
GUH ,   Russia   (08.14.07)
Begin's original army, ITZL, was extremely vicious. It was behind hundreds of attacks/massacres which include the King David Hotel bombing, multiple attacks on Jerusalem and Haifa, and the Deir Yassin massacre which, according to Begin, was what caused Israel's creation. To continue, his administration invaded Lebanon twice, once in 1978 and 1982, ending in over 15,000 Lebanese deaths. Ironically these guy even won a nobel peace prize.
32. The attack on the Altalena was a despicable act!!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam, Israel   (08.14.07)
And it was Rabin who gave the order to fire on it!! The weapons they were carrying could have been confiscated!! People were being shot while they were in the water!! And we condemn the pals for killing each other!!
33. Define 'terror' then
GUH ,   Russia   (08.15.07)
If a person is a terrorist without believing in fear or shock and fights for his country/cause but has not killed anyone, is that person a terrorist. If a soldier who is responsible for an innocent person's death while fighting- is that not terrorism?
34. The rule of law...
David ,   Israel   (08.15.07)
The rule of law is only virtuous when the law itself was born in virtue, and democracy is only good when it actually benefits the people as a whole. In Israel this is not the case. The rule of law, especially in the Israeli version of the parliamentary system, can also result in despotism by a narrow minded, reactionary power elite who constitute a minority of the population and only have their own interests at heart - as is the case with the system spawned by Ben Gurion. The man was a socialist authoritarian and the proposition that his use of the law - or that of the secular zionist power elite today - is virtuous is propaganda of the worst sort. The average Israeli has a very skewed notion of what democracy means to the rest of the world, and this article is a perfect example. But, then again, who am I to say that the system that put socrates to death and left athens prostrate before her enemies wasn't the highest expression of human wisdom?
35. Disagree - Refuse to Expel Jews
Kerry ,   Redlands, USA   (08.17.07)
The government made a huge mistake with the Gaza pullout, and now Olmert is planning more Jews to be expelled. I agree with the troops refusing to expel other Jews form their homes.
