from the Navy for the Navy. As long as the bartering is of Navy supplies for something another part of the Navy needs, it is usually overlooked. I could not accept that and preferred a paper trail for requisitioning supplies, so the Navy did not want me. I was too honest. I even changed the lock and barred the pharmacy door to the Executive Officer of Miramar Naval Air Station's Clinic in the 1970's to stop theft by him (Bill Strnad). After I was transferred back to the main hosptial in San Diego, Strnad devoured the pharmacy with a shopping cart, putting whatever he wanted into it for his pals and family and trading within the Navy community. The pharmacy officer who went there after me was named Gentry. He of course, was promoted because the senior pharmacy officers and medical command in Washington, D.C. wants theives because that is what they are, I presume. I was told I was crazy for being honest. The senior pharmacy civilian supply clerk at the San Diego Naval Hospital then, Jesse Jones, a retired Navy pharmacy chief, said the Captain Thomas Jefferson Summerour would be sent to jail for a long time if people knew the things he did. Honest people are run out of the US Navy because they expose theft and other forms of graft. No good deed ever goes unpunished. Only the evil goes unpunished in most places.
