3. Even US President Nixon who was forced to resign was
given Secret Service protection at great expense to the government. It is in a nation's best interests to protect and provide for former heads of State even when they are forced from office because of the security issues of one of them being abducted or persuaded to defect or give intelligence information to an enemy State. They have to be shielded and watched closely to protect the secrets they know.

4. #2 Chad: Mr. Katsav has NOT been convicted of a crime.
Even in America, when US President Nixon was forced to resign from office, he still got Secret Service protection. Why, you ask, does the government (people's taxes) have to pay for that? Former heads of State know secrets that are protected by the close observation and protection of them. It would be too dangerous for a country for a former head of State to be abducted and tortured to reveal State secrets, or to defect. They have to be watched. Believe me, it is no picnic to have spies all around you for the rest of your life with little privacy.

9. less money for the poor more for the poor more for criminals
The millitary need more money, the poor need more money, the schools need more money but the government cant find it so they cut the budgets. Moshe Katsav a man who disgraced the presidency and the country through commiting criminal acts thanks to his lawyers doing deals to get him off he is taking much needed money from all those ministreies which benefit Israel Instead that money is spent on making sure nobody kills Katasav if he was so worried about his life then he should have chosen prison I think its also safe to say that nobody will be breaking in to kill him.

10. #5. A watchful eye and turning a blind eye are necessary...
The security guards of Princess Diana and Prince Charles knew what they did whether it was good or bad. The good, the bad, and the ugly was reported to the government and the Queen of Britain. People are flawed and sometimes they are set up to stumble. Princess Diana was faithful in her marriage until Camilla and Charles forced Diana to take riding lessons (she was afraid of horses) from a known rake they wanted to seduce Diana. He did. She was set up. Mrs. Katsav complained of the provacative clothing Aleph wore to work and the woman (Aleph) should have been removed immediately by the chief of staff. But maybe in Israel, wives of heads of State are not listened to. I can assure you that anyone at the White House during the Reagan administration who upset Nancy Reagan was removed. The same is true of anyone who upsets Camilla in her household and offices since she married Prince Charles.

13. #10 accusing Aleph of seducing Mr. Katsav is way out of line
There has been more than enough evidence leaked to the media to indicate that Mr. Katsav had a substantial amount of culpability. In fact although according to Mr. Mazuz there isn't enough evidence to support criminal charges of rape -- that is not enough to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt -- there is enough evidence to have encouraged Mr. Katsav to plea bargain. In other words Mr. Katsav had good lawyers who found him a way out. But remember that in taking a plea bargain Mr. Katsav is admitting guilt and recognizing that it could have been worse for him. So instead of going to trial and proving his innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt Mr. Katsav chose to "cop a plea" get the charges reduced and admit guilt for the lesser charges. Obviously, it is Mr. Katsav himself who doesn't respect his wife or any other woman for that matter. But all of that aside shame on you for daring to blame the victim of a sexual crime. Some sentences for you to remember: "Rape is rape is rape." "When a woman says no she means no."

17. #13: YOU would say JOSEPH in the BIBLE was the seducer
instead of Potiphar's wife, I suppose. Joseph spend 13 years in an Egyptian jail for being falsely accused of rape which is all right with you because women are soooo honorable, especially women who wear provocative clothing Mrs. Katsav objected to. Why don't you have a physician inject you with 100mg of testosterone intramuscularly and see how aggressive you feel as a normal male tries to cope with all the time. Pleading "no contest" is NOT a guilty plea. It is a way of ending the proceedings WITHOUT a guilty plea. I am sure Joseph in the Bible would have pleaded "no contest" to avoid a 13 year prison term for something he did not do.
