61. #58. Pope John Paul II lost his Polish family to Nazi death
(08.17.07)
camps in World War II. When the Gestapo came for his family, he stood behind an opened door and was not noticed. He fled to a Roman Catholic church and was hidden there for the entire war, studying to become a priest. Recently deceased Jewish Catholic Cardinal of Paris Jean-Marie Lustiger was protected by the French from otherwise certain death in Nazi camps. There are many in Europe who risked their own lives to save Jews. In Holland, most of the Dutch people wore yellow Star of David patches when the Jews were ordered to wear that, to confuse the Nazis. German women tell me the Dutch are like the Germans (Deutsch). I disagree. In World War II the Dutch were as far from being like the Germans as the East is from the West or the Stars are from the Earth.
62. John Paul II always talked about WW II
MARK ,   USA   (08.17.07)
His greatest contrbution to the world was to teach us to fight evil and how evil can destroy the entire world. He spoke out and told people to promote love and end all hatred. People are given free will and have to make their own decisions. The pope gave us words of wisdom.! He was an amazing man. I miss him but his words are eternal!
63. polish mps boycott conference
raymond deane ,   dublin, ireland   (08.17.07)
Have a look at the current Polish parliament and see if you're proud to have this crowd on your side! Many of them are of the "anti-Semites who love Israel" variety.
64. Israel
Chester Mackewicz ,   Philadelphia, U.S.A   (08.18.07)
May God bless the Polish people for supporting Israel.
65. #63
Maciej ,   Gdynia, Poland   (08.18.07)
As far as I know (living in Poland) there is only one small party LPR (related with Radio Maryja) whose SOME members are accused of being anti-Semites. At the next elections this party (LPR) will not pass a threshold (4% of votes) to get seats in Polish parliament. You better take care of your Irish MEPs to know what is right! Do not worry about Poland and Polish MEPs - as you see they know how to behave.
66. This conferenceis an anti-Israeol hate fest
Debra ,   Joburg South Africa   (08.18.07)
I went to this conference as a part of a delegtation of official SA Jews as an observer when it took place in Cape Town a few years ago. One speaker after the other tore Israel to shreds without looking at their own failures and horrendous human rights abuses. Some of the worst speakers were the Israelis invited to this conference, like B'tselem. This conference does nothing for the Palestinians except promote more hatred against Jews and Israelis. Well done to the Poles! The rest of Europe should follow suit!
67. best regards from Poland
Hook   (08.19.07)
Best wishes from Cracow to all you there in Israel. Do us in Poland little favour: dont treat us as antisemitic nation. We are not. They are some political forces who make a living on spreading this stories, both on our and your sides. (here in Poland we have arising problem with Germans, similar as in the past... sad but true)
68. Did you know the POLES are not coming!
Persian CAT   (08.31.07)
Let's see, the EU Paliament says Zionistan promotes Apartheid, but a few Polish brown noses say no we're not coming. Then a few Zionist jehadis start jumping up and down in sheer joy. Is this the best you guys can do? How pathetic, indeed.
