standing over him didn't help.
2. "Congratulations," Hizbollah
Bottom Line   (08.29.07)
You've killed more Arabs than Jews.
3. Convenient omission from this article.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (08.30.07)
Funny how it's not mentioned how many of those 156 Israelis were civilians and how many were soldiers. So, allow me: 119 IDF fatalities 37 Civilian fatalities Although I regret all civilian deaths, I must say this is a far better ratio than Israel (who never aims at civilians, right?) ever acheives. To put this in perspective, when Israel demolished the apartment building in Qana, 28 civilians were killed, including 16 children. Yup, that's Israel for ya! They just love to kill children. Anyways, 1190 Lebanese killed, the vast majority of which were civilians and now Israel itself claims that Hizbollah is stronger than they were pre-war, nice job IDF!

Khalid, maybe that's because the IDF actually sends soldiers into battle on the enemy's turf, instead of indiscriminately shooting rockets from behind civilian human shields. Khalid? Is that Arabic for schmuck?
8. Khalid, don't lie
Benny   (08.30.07)
Sure, you will say Israel kills many civilians. Hamas and Hezballa terrorists are all civilians in your eyes - sure, they are not members of any army, just private citizens.

Billy ,   US   (08.30.07)
for launching and worse, losing, an unnecessary war. Let's hope that next time saner heads will prevail and Israliens will demand that their leaders negotiate FIRST. Since we now see that's the only way the captured soldiers will be returned.
11. #3 Remember Khalid
Lina ,   USA   (08.30.07)
Make that 1190 Lebanese killed so Nasrallah could provoke Israel into a war he fought for Iran. He used Lebanon and the Lebanese. Go rant at Hizbullah and show some respect for the death of this soldier.
12. Khalid (3) and his friends
Dr. Jack ,   Canada   (08.30.07)
At least he was safe in an Israeli hospital. In Gaza, because he wasn't Hamas, he might have been killed by Khalid and his friends, or thrown from a hospital window, as they did with Fatah patients a few months ago. Where was Khalid today? Probably teaching children how to "protect" the martyrs, who hide behind, when they launch Kassams. Cowards, always put women and children in harms way.
13. So sad....my condolences to his family.

scott ,   Chicago   (08.30.07)
Just like fatah, hamas, al quaida do... just like the sunnis and the shiites, just like yourself. Its not even worth the fight... sure videos lie don't they? only yours do. Your pictures did during the war, your lebanese PM cried like the manless bitch that he his about a massacre that never happened, just like Jenin. Liars Liars... shame on you. You are a bigger threat to own people... Humanity. Get a life.

There is nothing heroic about indiscriminantly shooting from high in the sky! and raiding territorries covered by 80 pounds of body armor. The real soldiers were on the other side!

17. khalid- the idf dont hide behind women and civilians
eric shoenberg ,   NJ USA   (08.30.07)
like brave hezbollah does. the IDF fight like actual men. they dont hide in places of worship and shoot from apartment buildings loaded with women
18. Why do those who love God die in wars when
Rivkah   (08.30.07)
King David said in Psalms, "I am kept in safety wherever I go"? Is the factor keeping the Shabbat or telephin or praying often that keeps them alive? I think what this man did illustrates one of the reasons God's people die in wars and it is not because they were not protected by God. This man WILLINGLY laid down his life for others. Those who belong to God can make the choice to die by the act of laying down their lives for a friend or friends. Rabbi Yeshua said there is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend. There is another factor that can cause God's chosen to die in war besides choosing to die for others. It is a sin unto death which varies from person to person. Choosing to die for others is a very high calling.
19. To Khalid #3-Just a numbers game
Andy ,   Manchester, UK   (08.30.07)
Its all so simple isn't it, Khalid, just a numbers game. May be Israel protects its civilians better? May be the IDF doesn't plant its artillery in appartment blocks or express surprise when they are targetted as a result? May be Hizbollah doesn't admit how many of its fighters were killed and how many 'civilians' were in fact fighters? And may be Israel made some mistakes. In any case your figures are irrelevant because Hizbollah "won" its "holy victory". Does that mean that next time when even more Lebanese civilians die, Hizbollah's victory will be even bigger and even holier, and Khalid will be even happier?

And THAT is why there will never EVER be any kind of peace between Israelis and Palestinians. You blabber on about children like you actually CARE about them. The entire world knows and SEES a different story. So, why don't ya'all go and examine your own virtues and moralities before you go mouthing off about Israelis. Stop with your whinging and your moaning, no-body cares about you, don't you get it?!?!?!?!?!?!?
