NNora ,   Tel Aviv   (09.03.07)
Whatever will be will be. After that apocalyptic analysis of our future, you turn to your government and what do you see? A "whatever will be will be " behavior from Israel , Europe, Russia and even the US. We have become like old horses taken for a sleep and when a young horse tells us the truth, we say: "Que sera sera". B O O O O M !!!!!!!! Capito ?
2. In the future the war between Shiite and Sunni
e.m ,   s.f   (09.03.07)
And the entire road to Jordan the real Palestinians State and in that case I would like to see strong Iranians army against the Arabs nations
3. Thanks to Israel's stubborness...
Al ,   US   (09.03.07)
when it comes to giving occupied territories back to the Palestinians and for refusing the Arab peace plan, now Iran is stronger than ever to a point of no return! Now destroying Iran's military will mostly likely destroy most if not all of the Gulf States who are US allies and I do not think that we as the US are ready to open yet another front besides Iraq! Sure we care about Israel's security, yes Israel is our top ally but we won't allow the entire region to go up in flames just because Israel refuse to give en for Peace with the Palestinians!
4. Thanks Al...
JB ,   Canada   (09.04.07)
For a useless piece of advice. The only thing that will placate the Palis is if Israel were to disappear. There is no desire to live in peace with Israel, only a desire to destroy it. And I'm sorry the Jews are not going to commit suicide to please you are any other addle-head know-it-all. And your "analysis" is unbelievable incorrect. There is nothing more that the Gulf States want than for the US to kick Iran's butt because if they don't and iran goes nuclear, every one of those states as well as Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Egypt will be threatened. Syria is already Irans "running dog". And that's just what Iran wants...to control the middle east. First the middle east and then the world. As for occupation, the "Palestinians" never had any claim to Gaza or the West Bank. They never constituted a sovereign state; the were not even a nation. What they are is arabs who migrated to the area from the surrounding countries for economic reasons after the Jews there improved the land and created a civilized society. The real occupiers are the Arabs! As for any rights... perhaps if they had some other "modus vivendi" than exterminating Israel and its inhabitants, perhaps if they had built some kind of infrastructure, government, industry, society, then one could see some self-rule. But all they have is a self imposed, self-inflicted theocratic fascist regime which uses all its money to buy weapons and kill those Jews and Muslims who disagree with them. The region will go up in flames with or without Israel, but not because of it. Try reading some history instead of the New York Times!

Al, If I truly though that Israel's withdrawal from the W. Bank (with minor border modifications) would truly solve the problem, I would support it. However, history seems to indicate that every time Israel makes a terriorial concession, the result is that her enemies are enboldened, and they intensify the violence. As a prime example of this, consider the recent Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. What was the result? The seizure of Gaza by Hamas, and then the shelling of Israel from the territory that Israel withdrew from. This is only one of many examples. I now believe that the Arab-Israeli conflict is more a consequence of the conflict between fundamentalist Islam and the West, then it is a cause of that conflict. It is important to remember that prior to 1967, Israel did not occupy one centimeter of the West Bank, and yet her neighbors were doing all they could to destroy the country.
8. Iran can be stopped
Brod ,   USA   (09.04.07)
There is no other choice but to stop Iran. And Iran can be stopped. Failure to do so will usher a world of uncertainty and insecurity where the demons rule. Forget about the peace crap of the Islamist-Jihadists led by the most pernicious of them all--Wahhabhist Saudi Arabia-the chief sponsor and source of all Islamist-Jihadist terrorisms around the world. Their aim is to subdue, dominate and islamize non-Islamist countries. Israel is in the frontline of their evil Jihad. Israel and the Free World need to understand this. They need to confront the Jihadism of the Islamist-Jihadists and defeat the dark forces head on. Israel must never give an inch of its GOD-given liberated historic homeland to the Islamist-Jihadists. There are NO moderate Islamist-Jihadists. They are all the same. They have all been contaminated by their dark religion to hate Jews and Christians. Those who do not know this are plain stupid or naive. They would need to read alot more books written by brilliant experts in this field such as Robert Spencer, Mark A. Gabriel, PhD, Steven Emerson, Brigitte Gabriel, Gerald Posner, Gregory M. Davis, PhD, Ibn Warraq, Ali Sina, Dore Gold, PhD, Rachel Ehrenfeld, PhD, Colonel David Hunt, Daniel Pipes, PhD, Kenneth R. Timmerman, Oriana Fallaci, and Walid Shoebat. They should also see the following websites: www.faithfreedom.org (then click 'Gallery' and the others) www.thereligionofpeace.com
9. FIND THE FACT
Sirus ,   IRAN   (09.04.07)
If you follow the path, US administration chose to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue ;anyone will doubt if US really wants it to be resolved at all. Any child knows when you are solving a problem the first step is to face it directly. why US adm. has never tried it by negotiating this issue face to face with Iran. In fact they don't want it resolved so soon. Look at those huge arm deals (50 billion $) they agreed recently to deliver to some middle east countries to stop IRAN!!! Good profit to American arms factories especially those who happen to hold positions in US government. So please Mr. Shoval tell the truth and don't fabricate it for warmongers in US and Israel.
10. Mistaken priorities
Brad Arnold ,   St Louis Prk, MN, US   (09.04.07)
Leemans and Eickhout (2004) found that ecosystem adaptive capacity decreases rapidly with an increasing rate of climate change. If the rate should exceed 0.4 C/decade, all ecosystems will be quickly destroyed. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the global average temperature today is increasing by 0.2 C/decade. This incease is caused by greenhouse gases we put into the atmosphere decades ago, due to the lag time between emission and temperature rise. We have emitted nearly double the greenhouse gas since then, and are increasing our emissions at a rate of over 3% per year. Therefore, we are facing the imminent destruction of all the world's ecosystems, which will result in abrupt climate change (I suggest reading the Pentagon's alarming report on this subject). My point is that, rather than focus on the Iranian nuclear program (that is ironically supposedly for nuclear power-a non-CO2 emitting energy source), we should be focused on the primary threat to Israel and America-abrupt climate change.
11. Sirus is absolutely right---we want to bomb the crap
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (09.04.07)
out of Irans military and nuclear facilities. And the more partners we have to sell munitions to the better. Why should Iran and Russia have all the fun supplying terrorist organizations throughout the Middle East. Don't be to sure George Bush hasn't got a plan to take out Irans nutty leader and his entire military infrastructure. And Colin Powell said if we break it in Iran....we don't have to fix it.
12. I love this.
AR ,   USA   (09.04.07)
The guy who lives in the "islamo fascist capital of the world" (sirus) sees exactly what is going on. And those who live in the "free world" are totally oblivious to what is going on. Iran isnt a threat to israel or america. Iran is a nation surrounded by nuclear and hostil powers. I would as the author to ask his own government about their cooperation with the iaea before he criticizes iran. No one likes irans government but dont you people ever wonder why israel and america are the most feared nations in the world yet people who live in these countries believe they are the most rightous and god is on their side. Look at yourselves for a change people. Look at what you do. Look at how many people your governments kill and then when they fight back you call them terrorists. Americans and Israelis need a reality check. 9/11 or the constant attacks on isrealis are nothing compared to what the "west" has done to asia , africa, and latin america. But if any of those nations disagrees with us they are evil we are good. Please you people are pathetic.

1. What Israel has done to Latin America? 2. You are naive if Asian had the same power they would do the same to the "west". 3. We fight for our best they do it for their best. What is good for us is bad for them, conflict you know...

David Powell ,   Everett, Wa. USA   (09.04.07)
I believe President Bush should take some action against Iran before he leaves office and certainly before the Hillary and Obama clown machine takes over.

Israel (as far as i know) has done nothing to latin america. I said the "west" which includes israel, most of europe and america. Im not here to bash israel. Im just saying i think its kinda rediculous that the nations responsible for holocausts, genocide and ethnic cleansing in the past 200 years are the ones calling iran a threat to the world. How many people have europeans killed in the last 50 years. America has been at war almost all of its existance. Israel is also guilty of similar crimes ( on a much smaller scale) and it has nuclear weapons and refuses to cooperate with the IAEA (india and pakistan also have nukes) Iran and israel are in a very dangerous area of the world. But that is because certain foreign powers (and some argue israel is one of them) cause instability in the region. Yes their were wars before israel, and before america got involved but that is their business. One question. If israel can have nuclear weapons why cant iran? Iran is threatened not only by america and israel (both nuclear powers) but also by saudi arabia, pakistan, russia (which has gone to war many times with Iran) i think they got a more legit excuse than the united states does to have a nuke. I hope they never get one. Not because i think they would use it in a first strike against israel or the US. But because i would like to see the world with less nukes. Iran has nothing to gain from attacking israel. They arent dumb. They know what will happen to them. All this war talk is perpetuated by the west. US, Israel, hawkish europeans. Iran didnt wake up and say im gonna aim my missles at the most powerful militaries the world has ever seen and see if they will take it. They are talking tough because they are surrounded and their is a history of foreign interference in that nation that they dont want repeated.

His message is: "They don't hate us, because we are free, they hate us because we are over there". I too would vote for Ron Paul if I was allowed.
23. Iran
Peace lover   (09.05.07)
The problem is Israel lack of trust in moderate Arabs while Iran know how to built trust amongs their allies. look How Hamas ( a sunni ) blindly trust Shiatte Iran. while america and Israel debating about what might and might not. Built a trust and bridges with some arabs as it worked before with Egypt and Jordan as this is the only way to fight Iran and stop putting all your eggs in one basket.

Interesting article. I will have to do some more research and fact checking to be sure but it dosnt suprise me. Israel is used to doing as its told by america. But on the topic of Iran here is a great article by a former israeli minister which i believe is what is really going on in the ME. http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/opinon/2007/09/137_9592.html

Persian CAT   (09.06.07)
Let's see, here's a guy who works for a Zionists jihadi regime which is an occupier, terrorist, assassin and perpetrator of Apartheid but wants to "stop" another government which is not occupying anyone's land, multitudes of ethnics and religions live within its boundaries in peace and is being told by another occupier headed by a professional liar, crusader and war criminal that it should refrain from doing what is legit and within its national rights. What's wrong with this Zionist drawn picture?

The question is not "Can Iran be stopped?" The question is, could Netanyahu be any more insane? There are drugs for people like him. Maybe he should see a doctor.
