1. for what?
Nabulsi   (09.05.07)
what do these idiots get for providing protection to the israelis? a few dollars while israel continues to occupy our land and stangle our cities ... Fatah use to kill people who dialogue with the israelis and now Fatah is actively killing people who try to fight the israeli occupation... wow that must be some big change.
2. Fatah's two paths doctrine!
T.I - Proud Zionist ,   Israel   (09.05.07)
The Fatah party always talking on two different paths: 1. When there is a crisis in palestinians territories, the leaders of Fatah push into fabricated negotiation. 2. When there is a crisis between us and them, the leaders of Fatah (including the "moderate" abu-mazen) provides a push into escalation on the terror attacks against us. The Fatah party is corrupt and hollow, the palestinians hate Abu-mazen because he didn't improve their ordinary living on an inch. I'm addressed to our government and says: you don't have and no other government has the mandate to bring us to another unavoidable disaster like the oslo accords, too many people were slained because your overlooking policy. Agreement without clear benchmarks doesn't worth the paper it is written above. All the parties in conference awaring that Abu-mazen can't prevent any political achievements from Hamas unless the old elders will be replaced by young, pragmatic leaders, but I don't see anyone who could succeed to topple Hamas's candidate.
3. #1, get a grip on reality
Chatich   (09.05.07)
Fatah protecting Israelis? That's the best one I've heard all week! They are protecting only themselves, their duplicitous political agenda, and the newly restored flow of Western money and weapons. Same tactics as Arafraud - dupe the world into believing they finally want to make peace, grab all the concessions they can without giving back even one bread crumb, then crank up the jew-killing jihad with all the new money and strategic advantage gained by the concessions. So long as the brainwashed pali population, yourself very much included it would seem, continue to support those who wish to "fight the [so-called] Israeli occupation", you will continue to live in this pitiful, self-inflicted squalor you so bemoan. Time to snap out of your hateful trance and evolve, like the rest of the humans...

Gazan ,   Gaza, Palestine   (09.05.07)
when I remember how those heroes ran out half naked to Erez and Egypt, I doubt of they can provide protection to anyone
5. US SPONSORED PEACE CONFERENCE?? AN OXYMORON!

6. "CONFERENCE" IS HARMFUL PROPAGANDA PLOY
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (09.05.07)
This is extremely unfortunate. Nothing will come of it, and we all know that. It will be just one more dashed hope. All it serves is to put up a propaganda false facade that attempts are being made to achieve peace. Oslo is the correct example. No public conferences, no announcements, no publications, until worthwhile agreement is achieved by the sides. ONLY THEN SHOULD IT BE MADE PUBLIC. Standard procedure for ALL genuine summits is that they meet to announce agreements already achieved.
7. How to eliminate divisions among Arabs and boost solidarity:
Uzi ,   Haifa   (09.05.07)
Israel should let Hamas to depose Abbas and smash Fatah in Judea and Samaria, or even help Hamas to do so, in order to make it easier to abolish the PA and wipe it off the world map and consciousness. It will also open the way for the Kingdom of Jordan to take charge as the only viable nation state of all the Arabs of Greater Palestine. Having got rid of the PA, Israel and Jordan should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and maybe cede Gaza to Egypt that would sort it out quite smartly. Everybody, Jews and Arabs, should continue to live in peace where they are and nobody should move from their homes or land. Israelis who would thus become residents of the Kingdom of Jordan should be given rights and conditions like the Arabs in Israel.
