Palestinians are a mix, there are those whose ancestors arrive quite recently but there are also those who may descend from the Romans and possibly event the ancient Israelites themselves. There needs to be a fair and just solution so that all people of the area, Jews, Christians and Muslims can live in peace. Gaza is a hell hole, hell holes bread people who will do anything to get back at those who they hold responsible for their condition. A comprehensive peace, with Israel secure in modified 67 borders and the Palestinians hooked to Jordan is probably the only optimistic solution. It is hard, with so many deaths on both sides, but if the Palestinians perceived that they had a stake, something to lose, they would be more likely to keep the peace. Palestinians sit in squalid refugee camps and watch Israeli TV and see the wealth on what they believe is their land, well who wouldn't be angry in that case? It's going to cost money, Israeli money, US money, Arab money. Look at Ramallah, they aren't firing the missles, because they have something to lose...
