1. And when their children ask why they grew up without fathers
Sam ,   NYC, USA   (09.19.07)
Tehran and Damascus officials can comfort them by saying they died in an effort to subject thousands of people to agonizing deaths.
2. I have never said something this bluntly but
Korem ,   New York, USA   (09.19.07)
Considering the fact that rockets fall on Israel from the north and west, and that scud missiles have threatened Israel before, and the implications of an Iranian-Syrian cooperation (the former funding most groups and paramilitary terrorist forces that are targeting Israel, the latter of which fully supports and probably fosters smuggling of said weapons to Hezbollah), arming chemical warheads onto those Scuds, all I can say is, THANK G-D THESE MEN DIED, AND THANK G-D THE EXPERIMENT WAS A FAILURE. This is assuming the British magazine got it right.
3. Great Work
serurier ,   aifjoajfa   (09.19.07)
Take some terrorists ! Thank you IDF !
4. Israel should not be " talking peace"
Jake T ,   Alaska   (09.19.07)
with Palestinians or Syrians or anyone. It should be fortifying its defenses, it should be holding on to every inch of territory. Israel, your enemies don't understand peace. They don't want peace. Only deterrence works.
5. Gee that's too bad
A Nice fellow ,   Montreal   (09.19.07)
I really feel horrible for those Iranian experts and Syrian officers.
6. A real tragedy... and perhaps a Divine warning
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (09.19.07)
Why a tragedy? Because scum like Meshal, Nasrallah, Ahmedinijad, et. al. were not in attendance. To those who think that last week's Kassam attack on Israel's training base showed Allah's "blessing", perhaps they should reconsider. Perhaps this is a Divine warning not to mess with G-d's people. Who's to say? Israel's enemies are feeling cocky after last year's debacle, but they should know they will pay a high price for such aggression as they are planning.
7. WOW they are so lucky! they will meet the 72 virgins!!!

Whatever article quotes Jane's magazine as its main source ¸does not even deserve to be read.
11. missles aimed at Israel
chaim ,   miami beach usa   (09.19.07)
I guess that the 600 missles aimed at Israel and american forces in iraq are of the same make and model. when they will be launched from either Syria or Iran they will lift off and self destruct over their populated cities. of course Israel will be blamed, the reason being why did Israel by their imagination shoot them down Oh well Israel will survive the forth coming UN Condemnations keep up the good work Iran/Syria playing with dangerous toys
12. Iranian/Syrian technology
Cato the Elder ,   USA   (09.19.07)
Well, that's what you get for hiring Homer Simpson as your chief rocket engineer. Go Homer!!!
13. highly unlikely
mossad-sam ,   propagandaland   (09.19.07)
I think this is propaganda. That facility, where the explosion happened, is where the unversity students do the oblegatory military reserve training. Most of the dead and injured are soldiers that had no ranks and studnets. i would re check the facts
14. Mazel Tov, Listen to their mom and not play with fire ..
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (09.19.07)
15. A few possible causes:
Umm El Kul Naqba   (09.19.07)
1. It might have been because they engaged unemployed engineers from Chernobyl 2. It might have been Israel sabotaged their efforts. (They blame us for everything else. Why not this? We would be happy to take credit). In any case, this is the best news that I have read in a long time. I only hope that they all suffered the most excruciating pains before dying. And for those who did not die, I hope they suffer miserably for a very long time until they beg to die.
16. The Syrians have a lot of Iraq's wmd's, so the antidote
Rivkah   (09.19.07)
the French used in the First Persian Gulf War should be on hand in Israeli households: physostigmine and atropine. The French did not get Gulf War Syndrome which is thought by some to be from biological, chemical warfare. Others think Gulf War Syndrome which is like multiple sclerosis was from the combination of drinking aspartame diet sodas that were heated in the sun which changed the aspartame to formaldehyde, a poison. Others think Gulf War Syndrome was at least in part due to exposure to depleted uranium particles from bunker busting bombs and bullets.
17. "DIVINE PUNISHMENT."!?
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (09.19.07)
ON THE BASIS OF WHAT HAS OCCURED ....HOW CAN RADICAL MOSLEMS REGARD THE HAND OF ALLAH AS BEING FAVOURABLE TO THEIR ASPIRATIONSTO DESTROY ISRAEL WITH THESE WEAPONS ,WILL A REPLY BE FORTHCOMING ON "Y "NET.

21. Let's talk about the Iraqi WMDs that Bush lied about
Norm ,   Great Neck USA   (09.19.07)
FOUND Shocked, I tell you I am totally shocked. All that talk about convoys to Syria were TRUE. OMG, what are the lefties going to chant now?
22. #18...and the Chinese seem to leave a part out just to make
(09.19.07)
it difficult. But then, Israelis did that to Raytheon, too. Jacob Bill, who works for Raytheon in Tucson, Arizona, visited a plant in Israel to determine why the missiles made there for US Navy ships failed to fire on tests. He recommended the plant be closed because of sabotage. There are bad people in all countries who sabotage equipment, not just China.
23. Just Desserts
Mike Rice ,   USA   (09.19.07)
This is great if it is true. This is exactly what these people deserved, and I think we will see quite a bit of this in the future, something about 'being miraculously destroyed on the way to the battlefield'. It doesn't pay to mess with The Living God - or His people.
24. Just how many 100s Syrian, Iranian engineers were around
T ,   Texas   (09.19.07)
this missile when it explode and exactly how many engineers are needed to load a missile into its launcher? To say the least, this story is not believable.
25. Thank G-D for his great JOB
We Love You HASHEM   (09.19.07)
We hope that he will continue protecting us from our enemies &destroy all of them
26. 16 cont'd. The French took the physostigmine before going to
Rivkah   (09.19.07)
Iraq and during their stay there in 1991 and they did not get Gulf War Syndrome. The atropine is injectable and is for acute symptoms, while the physostigmine is preventative and taken daily.
27. breaks my heart!!!!!!
robert ,   farmington,wv   (09.19.07)
As bad as it sounds it breaks my heart they got what they deserve I will not loose sleep over it.MAY THE LORD FOREVER BLESS ISRAEL

iraq always had wmd as well as biological weapons of mass destruction. bush didn't lie. he just didn't know where to find them because iraq sent all these weapons to syria begore the war, using convoys and trucks to transport them to safety either in bekaa valey or somewhere else in syria. what happened according to jane magazine can point to these "found" wmd being now used by syria with iran's engineers' help to show them how to use the multitude of supplies they got from iraq pre the war. no wonder the usa found none in iraq. the mossad has repeatedly informed the usa intelligence that most iraqi wmd have been transported via trucks and convoys into syria for safe keeping. now, they are surfacing and being used. thanks god begin and the iaf sent our angels and saviors to iraq to secretly bomb the osirak nuclear site....the world should thank israel for saving many many usa and european lives in the process. such weapons in the hands of insane violent fanatic regimes and dictators such as ahmadinejad, hussein, hizbullah and assad is a danger to all humanity.
29. To David, #10, re: Jane's Magazine
Mike ,   Atlanta, USA   (09.19.07)
I think you might have referred to the pop culture magazine. Another Jane's Magazine is a leader in providing news about defense industry and military technology.
30. Wow. Bummer.
Vicki   (09.19.07)
