7. So "peace conscious" Then why the stupid slogans?
Scott   (09.22.07)
These people are incredible. They definitely are a threat and will use their weapons when they feel they can win. The longer the West takes to deal with them - the worse its going to be.

I think Tayfun in Istanbul should pray that Israel survives an Iranian attack or soon the Turks will be bowing to their Persian masters.
9. Excuse me, Ynet has wrong translation!
Sharif Hafez ,   October 6, Egypt   (09.23.07)
It is called Kadar, and it is translated "fate"! If it is Ghader, then it would be translated "Betrayal"! In both cases however, it is not translated "power"! Power would be "Qowa"! Unless you translate it like that to give a concious feeling in Israel. In all cases you will get the message, since the name here is not that important! Don't you agree?
10. when will the world learn?
Just a Girl ,   Israel   (09.22.07)
when someone tells you who they are and shows that to be true- BELIEVE THEM! He did this on Yom Kippur. Coincidence? Yeah and I've got some land to sell you in New Orleans! What is all our bravado for if we don't have LEADERS who have the anatomy to do something about this? Sof Hadavar-I fear for not for Israel, I know we'll be okay. (yes that's based on faith)
11. Civilized ?
kam ,   united states   (09.23.07)
okay, looks like we're gonna have lasting peace over here. i see how everybody wants to bomb Iran. i'm pretty sure with 90 million people and a rich history they can't fight back. this is not the way to live in peace.
12. Western media will not pay attention!
Flavio Brazil ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (09.23.07)
I´m sure that TV channels and newspapers, always so eager and willing to report 'palestinian suffering and opression', will not pay any attention to this disgusting display of anti-semitism, hatred and xenophoby - and if they do, will be in a footnote, page C16...we, Jews everywhere, must do whatever we can to oppose the Iranian death wish and to warn those in power in Western countries abtou the seriousness of this threat! Once in a century is much, much more than we can bear!
13. ........Iran and Israel should be friends...........
Random thoughs from ,   US   (09.23.07)
I think arabs are really enjoying whats going on because they hate both Iran and Israel. They would love it if these two countries start bombing one another. I just dont understand why Iran and Israel hate each other so much. They dont share any borders, they both have different interests and on top of that they are both hated by Arab Countries. I believe at some point during the Iraq-Iran war Israel started helping Iran by sending them weapons because they had a common enemy. As of today there are around 25 thousand jews in Iran so If persians hated jews Im sure the jews would have left by now. During the Iraq-Iran war almost a million persians died so I know that Iranians dont like arabs. They have no reason to hate Israel and Israel has no reason to hate Iran. Can someone tell me whats going on here???? It logically doesnt make any sense to me.
14. the name is Qadar (fate)
(09.23.07)
15. death wish
tom ,   toronto, canada   (09.23.07)
khameini and ahmadinejad both believe that the world must be destroyed in order for the mahdi to return. that is why they are trying so hard to pick a fight with israel and the americans, because they believe that this will fulfil the prophesy. and this is also why they are not concerned about losing - according to the prophesy they need to lose! like any other jihadist, once they get a whiff of paradise, there's no use trying to talk them out of it. they wish to die or to die trying. the only practical solution is to grant their wish as quickly as possible, while protecting innocent bystanders. this is usually expressed as: "shoot for the head".
16. #13 somebody should tell you cause U are way off!
jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (09.23.07)
maybe there are 25 thousand jews in Iran(don't know where U got that #?)the Jews that could leave left and escaped, there used to be a lot more till the fanatic mullahs that hate jews and Israel more than anything in there pathetic world! These same mullahs killed many Bahia people. The only reason Israel gave any arms during the iran-iraq war was to keep them busy so to not focuss on building there lousy regime, the U.S, supplied both counrties to keep them busy. Israel doesn't hate Iran, they only want to survive and Iran is the biggest treat against them in exporting terror from there proxied and stating they want to wipe them off the map. get your head out of from the rock dude.
17. Most of Irans infrastructure and military will be destroyed
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (09.23.07)
within the next year. If they really believe George Bush isn't going to destroy their military facilities.....well then.....they have a lot to learn. Planes with no radar signature will fly in and take out Iranian radar installations. Then Iran can kiss all its facilities goodbye. The nutty Mullahs are living in fantasy land if they believe Bush isn't going to destroy their entire military on the ground.
18. Jerome
Millie ,   Israel   (09.23.07)
You forget when Iran was under rule by the Shah there was no hatred between the Iranians and Israelis, neither side threatened each other as Iran is doing now. So it is possible that if there is regime change in Iran that we could live in relative peace with each other.
19. NOTHING OF THAT,SCOTT.........#7
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (09.23.07)
Nothing of that is going to happen.Only the equation in the Middle East has now changed. No more of one-sided affairs of concluding any raids.military assaults and so forth. If,and only if, the Palestinian rights are restored, respect for integrity of individual nations is recognised is when peace will be restored in the Middle east and the present hatred will gradually come to an end. However, do bear in mind that politicians in USA have invested heavily in the arms industry and they need to survive. How will their future lok like if peace is restored in this part of the world????That is a million dollar question/
20. STEVE,TAKE IT EASY........#17
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (09.23.07)
Steve, frankly, you are the one who is living in the world of fantasy,I am afraid. You are mistakenly, underestimating the Iranian strategy and military prepardness else your master would have done what you have been dreaming about very long time back.
21. LETS ALL PLAY WITH OUR TOYS
zionist forever   (09.23.07)
So they got another toy in the cage for the monkeys to play with the idiot needs to understand that he can do damage to the US and Israel with his little toys but the US at least has much bigger toys that can hurt him alot more than he can hurt them. Would he like to have a missle exchange with a tomohawk cruise missle .. US fires a tomohawk, Iran fires Ghadr-1 and we see who comes out the winner. He can also try testing the power of the hundreds of US warplanes on the doorstep.
22. #19 SORRY MAHMOOD.....IT WILL HAPPEN. YOU WILL SEE.
Scott   (09.24.07)
You'll get to see your Iranian 'heroes' in action soon. :-) What will you do? Whose poster will replace aMadJihad's on your wall? But what about the childish slogans? Really, clever stuff? No comment about that eh? You people are sick .
23. The end is near!
Murray of Montreal   (10.09.07)
Amadinehejad has not performed well for the Iranian man on the street and thus is simply trying to shift the focus of the people's attention to Israel. The economy of Iran supposedly sucks big time and there is massive unemployment. A war with Israel and the US is just what Amadinhejad needs to have the people behind him. That will work for a week until Iran has been defeated and no longer has bridges, roads, power plants, gasoline, and a military force left. Iran's missiles can hit US bases in Iran. True but the US army will not be sitting in their bases after they hit Iran. Iran's missiles can hit US ships in the Gulf. True but the missiles will be taken out the second the war begins, as the US is not going to have their aircraft carriers sitting and waiting to be hit. When the aircraft carriers leave the Persian Gulf (if they are even there) it will be a sign to the Iranians of an imminent US attack. The sooner that Amadinehejad is overthrown, the safer that this world is going to be. I pity the Iranian people because they are going to suffer a great deal due to Amadinehejad
24. Those Korean missiles can't even reach the airport
Obama ,   Washington DC   (10.18.07)
25. Persians
Cyrus ,   San Diego   (10.19.07)
Before you underestimate a Persian I suggest you understand who these people are. According to the Old Testament, they prevented the Jews from complete Extinction. They Promulgated human rights; evidence of which can be seen on the great wall of the UN. Their empire, which was richer and larger than that of Rome, stretched into three continents and survived approximately 1,000 years. While the Greeks experimented with democracy, the Persians practiced human rights amongst all races, religions and creeds. While the Persians treated women as equals the Greeks thought nothing of their opposite sex other than breeders of the next generation or harlots to satify their warriors. The Persians gave the world Algebra (Kharazmi) and many tomes on medicine. Avecina's tomes called the "Canons of Medicine,' were the preeminent books on medicine throughout Europe for approximately 500 years before the Renaissance. In literature they gave the world, Khayyam, Rumi, Saadi, Hafez, Ferdowsi and many others. They continue to contribute to the Technotronic world that we live in, all one needs to do is look into the major Western companies and univerisities and your questions to who the Persians really are will unequivocally be manifested.
