1. Democracy is not idiocy!
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (09.24.07)
Israel must decide what it wants:a democracy ,risking for sure its jewish character in few years(the process has already started),or a jewish state as it is meant. Israel can not punish itself by following the principles of a democracy that doesn;t fit its aims. Arabs should not be living in tiny Israel. They must build their lives in arab countries among their owns. I don't want to mix with them ,nor willingly let alone by force. I don't want to live among arabs but among Jews. The land of Israel is meant to us.We can not forget the set aims that has brought us to here! As longer Israel takes to resolve its arab problem in its land, the more difficult and painfull will be to be resolved later.Yes ,because ultimately a solution will be needed: or a Jewish state or an arab state with jews eventually living in it. What do we want?
2. The ultimative treason of the self hating jews
Eli ,   Haifa   (09.24.07)
3. just to stress the issue
(09.24.07)
are all non-Jewish, Arabs? Yes because there was only Jews and Non-Jewish Arabs in Palestine. There was Non-Jews Non-Arabs!
4. The JNF Has Lost Its Raison D'etre:
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (09.24.07)
Collecting money from Jews to redeem the land of Israel was why it was established in the first place- why people have contributed generously since it was established over 100 years ago. If you want to redeem the land of Israel now, the only options are those like One Israel Fund (http://www.oneisraelfund.org/projects.php), Beit Orot (http://www.beitorot.org/English/content.asp?PageId=8), and the like. Secular Zionism IS dead- killed in the name of political correctness.
5. #4 Yishai - Not political correctness
Howard K ,   NYC   (09.24.07)
but a visceral hatred of Judaism. The words and actions of many seculars, Zionists or not, betray their deep fear and hatred of Judaism. They have made it their main task to de-Judeize Israel, particularly in areas of education and culture in general. I believe that donors to the JNF, most of them foreigners, should demand a refund of their moneys, by means of a legal suit if necessary.
6. Can Jews buy land in Saudi Arabia?
Zoli ,   Budapest, Hungary   (09.24.07)
I do not think so. The JNF should offer land to Arabs as soon as Muslim charities offer to sell land to Jews near Mecca. Not sooner.
7. Mazuz is a traitor to the Jewish People
THE PEOPLE'S VOICE   (09.24.07)
Menachem Mazuz told the High Court that the JNF's practices were illegal and he would not be defending the organization. Mazuz made the same ruling in 2005. HAD HE BEEN AROUND IN 1948 HE WOULD HAVE TOLD BEN GURION IT WAS ILLEGAL TO DECLARE A JEWISH STATE . BECAUSE OF HIM AND HIS ILK THE STATE OF ISRAEL IS ABOUT TO IMPLODE
8. Jews in America and Europe. STOP DONATING TO JNF!!!
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (09.24.07)
You're supporting the Arabs with your donations. STOP NOW!
9. Stop Donating to the JNF
MARK ,   Boston   (09.24.07)
What other charities give Jewish contributions to Arabs? I will never buy a tree from the JNF. Never Again!
10. I want my money and tree back!
MARK ,   USA   (09.24.07)
Write to the JNF and tell them how angry you are! Jewish National Fund means JEWISH
11. NO JEWISH LAND FOR ARABS!
Miriam ,   Israel   (09.24.07)
12. Good thing Mazuz has no power over religious tzedakah funds
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (09.24.07)
to JEWS ONLY. And if he thinks he will, they'll throw him out head first.
13. Are Mazuz and Gal-on siblings? They look so alike.
Miriam ,   Jerusalem   (09.24.07)
They have the same ugly, mean, nasty faces. Come to think of it, the education minister, Yuli Tamir, and Beinisch, I believe, are sisters too. Could anyone deny their resemblance?
14. I will no longer donate to the JNF.
LEE ,   NY, USA   (09.24.07)
15. Let us agree
Jackie ,   Florida, USA   (09.24.07)
I have donated to JNF since I was a child and we had a box on the dining room counter into which my father put all the money in his pockets on Friday evening. I wonder what he would think about this decision. Let us all agree to stop donation to JNF until they do what they were established to do -- acquire land for Jews in Israel
16. BEFORE KILLING OFF ALL DONATIONS TO JNF SEE WHAT HAPPENS...
stude ham   (09.24.07)
if our donations to JNF actually are going to facilitate their acquisition of lands to be turned over to non-jewish land-grabbers, like arabs, then JNF will lose all of its funding... from every single jewish supporter. but it may be too soon yet to determine what really will happen and therefore the course of action to be taken. do not ignore the full weight of world jewry on this issue. JNF does not act independently of that source.
17. Not another shekel, JNF.
(09.24.07)
18. Those who object and who donate
(09.24.07)
should withdraw their support without delay. At this time of the year a good many people will already have made a donation so I suppose that's why they waited until now to release this news.
19. #1 and others
Goy ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.24.07)
If you don't wanna live with anybody els but Jews: Fine. Go (probably back) to Brooklyn. Or found a Shtetl back in Russia. Israel is (still) a democratic state and not a theocraty. Even though some of the Mullahs within the religious sector would like it to become something like this. I am actually Christian and I could think of buying land here....
20. #19 You misunderstood the problem.
Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (09.24.07)
Non-Jews may live in Israel and may buy land in Israel but not with money that belongs to Jews and was collected for Jews only. This is not communist Russia where the money (officially) gets divided among its citizens. And regarding your remark: "If you don't wanna live with anybody els but Jews: Fine. Go (probably back) to Brooklyn..." Israel has first priority to this land and if you don't like it, go back to wherever you came from because this country offically belongs to the Jews. You may live here too as long as you know how to live together with Jews.
21. Selling Israel out. It's not a metaphore anymore...
Hamburger ,   Hamburg   (09.24.07)
22. SAY GOODBYE TO AUSTRALIAN DONATIONS
Bonny Gold ,   Sydney Australia   (09.24.07)
That is the end of donations from Australia to the JNF. Count us all out. Israel is a Jewish country: we do not wish Arabs to participate from our largesse.
23. WHAT A NOVEL IDEA!
RSEENER@GMAIL.COM ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (09.24.07)
THIS ALLOWS MONEY FROM RICH OIL GUZZLING SHEIKS TO BUY UP THE WHOLE OF THE LAND OFISRAEL FOR A PRICE WELL BEYOND THAT WHICH ISRAELIS CAN AFFORD. IS THIS HOW THE PROBLEM SOF THE JEWS AND PALESTINIANS ARE INTENDED TO BE SOLVED? THAT;S JEWISH SECHAL FOR YOU!
24. yeah, why not sell the whole country to the arabs, will make
uli ,   jerusalem   (09.24.07)
thing faster
25. Plenty of land for Arabs

26. Democracy???
eliyahu   (09.24.07)
First, Israel was not started because there was a need for democracy in the world. The JNF was not given funds by well-meaning donors in order to promote democracy. Second, Israel is a democracy?! Who are you trying to kid? Lawful protest is, at best, ignored, at worst, attacked by armed troops. No habeus corpus and the only people being arrested without cause are right wing jews. Arabs with blood on their hands are being set free en masse with a clean slate to do as they wish. Equal handed media is a joke. The court system has no constituion, no habeus corpus, is self-generating and governing, and openly admits that its main purpose is to push forward a political agenda. The politicians are unabashedly crooked. I grew up in a democracy and this isn't it. I used to protest and criticize the US system. Now I realize it is pretty darn good. Israel is well on its way to being a fascist dictatorship.
27. To further Howard's suggestion: a class action suit.
sk ,   USA   (09.24.07)
The legal system in Israel has become so anti-Zionist that it seems only the use of another legal system (e.g., the American one) will work.
28. You're missing the point...
Joshua ,   Jersey City, USA   (09.24.07)
To say "JNF Land was to settle Jews" completely misses the point. There is a difference between acquiring land to encourage Jewish settlement and build Jewish communities on one hand, and to maintain that land and those communities in a way that completely excludes non-jews on the other hand. The land of Israel has never been homogeneous. There have always been strangers residing among the people of Israel, and Jews are required to treat them with respect and allow them to engage in the typical economic and social intercourse of the community. So yes, the JNF can use the land to settle Jews. It can use it to settle new olim. It can use it to re-settle the displaced residents of Gush Katif. It can use it to encourage Jewish communities in the Negev or Galilee. What it cannot do is say that these communities remain exclusively Jewish in perpetuity and that non-Jews are prohibited from partaking in those communities. Living in the land of Israel does not mean one lives in an antiseptic bubble free of the stranger amongst you. Although I have never given directly to the JNF, I have given to many charities that support Jewish settlement and that directly or indirectly support the JNF. I did so because I wanted to see a strong Israel and a healthy Jewish community there. I assure you that it was not so that those communities could then refuse to rent or sell to Arabs, Druze, Circassians, or the various non-Jewish residents that are an integral part of the country. There is still a role for the JNF to build a strong Jewish presence in Israel. That role does not include categorical exclusion of all non-Jews.
29. WELL, give JNF a call or email ...
sk ,   USA   (09.24.07)
I just emailed customerservice@jnf.org
30. apartheid
ahamad ahabal ,   apartheid arabia   (09.24.07)
