Coming soon: Military academy in Israel    Yossi Yehoshua
1. Israeli military academy
Unlike their American counterparts, the Isreali academies will be tainted by Leftist ideology, I have spent time with Israeli military personnel and I have found them to be severely influenced by the Leftist media in Israel. I am sure the lecturers in the academy will be chosen by a ideological litmus test rather than professional criteria.

2. Excellent idea!!
Our future leaders cannot just be people who have come up in the ranks. They have to be well-educated with a general education as well as up-to-date knowledge of military matters.

3. Colonel Lansing
There is something in what you say. On the other hand, many Israeli "Leftists", feels perfectly comfortable to support George Bush's and Rudolph Giuliani's security strategy. There is a big difference between an Israeli Leftits facing the realities of the Middle East and a European Leftist indulging in dellusions.

4. I hope it is modeled after the US Military Academy BEFORE
the physical training and curriculum were watered down to accomodate the ladies' lesser bone density and brains. The ladies could not carry a regular rifle and back pack without getting stress fractures, so the physical training had to be modified. Then the ladies's brains were too stressed by the engineering curriculum (mechanical, electrical, civil, aeronautical, etc.) so that was watered down to humanities and other easier majors. What is the point in having a military academy if the program turns out ROTC officer equivalents? (ROTC means Reserve Officer Training Corps at regular colleges).

5. My US Army colonel father used to say the enlisteds are the
backbone of the military with the officers, the head. He said the sargeants are supposed to run things. The problem in my opinion as a US Navy veteran is that the senior enlisteds are limited to a brutality without mercy mindset that is destructive to espirit de corps. They attack, slander, and even rape junior women officers without fear of punishment and are contemptuous of junior male officers to the point of destroying their careers with false accusations if the juniors do not turn a blind eye to theft and skulduggery. Sir Winston Churchill said British Navy traditions are not much better. He described them as "sodomy, rum, and the lash." Something needs to temper the brutality and skulduggery in the military: perhaps a service academy will help. Being brutal in a war towards the enemy is necessary, but why prey on your own troops and fellow soldiers and sailors? It is so bad in the US Navy that inspections of ships for automotive ether are routine since that is used to sedate a person when it is applied to a cloth and the cloth put over a person's face from behind before a homosexual rape the person has no memory of from the ether. That is what the backbone of the US Navy is all about in my observation: theft, skulduggery, rape, false assusations, slander.

6. Two concerns over this proposal
First, Israeli higher education tends to be highly specialized, even at the Bachelors level. Students end up knowing their subject, but not much else. Officers at US military academies are broadly educated. Just how "broad" will education be at such an Israeli military academy? Second, the IDF as a "citizen army" must retain its connection to the citizenry and its values. That might prove difficult studying in a military bubble. Years ago, officers were often sent on "study breaks" to Israeli universities where they would study history, Jewish texts, philosophy, etc. with some of the best in their field. I don't know if that tradition continues, but it was part of the greatness of the IDF of old.

7. #1 Colonel Lansing: Look at the membership of the CFR which
will determine whether you get promoted since so many members are high ranking government officials. Be careful in your comments of Jews since so many are members of the CFR. You probably went to West Point after 1975 and do not remember the old curriculum which was engineering and the tough physical training because the ladies less dense bones and lesser brains could not handle the curriculum without its being watered down for them. Rightist or Leftist, the USMA isn't much anymore, not like it used to be. How are the humanities majors there? They sure know how to handle logistics without engineering backgrounds in civil, mechanical, electrical, or aeronautical majors, don't they? They don't? You mean they have to bring in Haliburton for that, too? Need to upgrade your curriculum and kick the ladies out before commenting on Israel's planned and hoped for service academy. Not even leftists could do as much damage there as the ladies at the service academies in America.

I am sorry to hear that your experience in the US Navy was a poor one. I myself was in the US Navy for five years enlisted as a IT2 (SW/AW). I served in Millington, and Norfolk at NCTAMS LANT and onboard the USS Wasp. The Navy has changed. With all the Sexual Harrassment going on (many are being punished and we have training on preventing it, including a POC) the men are afraid to even say remarks to women. I agree with you that the enlisted is the backbone of the military. I have to say joining the Navy was the best experience of my life, I had the most fun, learned a great deal and met alot of good people with whom I am still friends today. Besides as far as putting on the "crow" there is not much hazing as the navy cracked down even when crossing the equator( Im sure you know what that is). I don't know how long it has been for you, but again the Navy has come along way.

9. Academies Philosophy
Academies should have one only objective: prepare the humanware to fight against the unknown. Each country knows what it needs in order to prepare itself. Countries who didn't know what a strategic threat means, let old oficials to rape girls. These oficials expect future enemies behave like ladies. It is a kind of trainning, but it is not useful for all countries.

10. #4, blame the radical feminists..
for pushing for women in the military. I don't how it is for the females but for males in the marines the Di's are in your face from the start. There was a story on fox news about the army only allowing a certain amount of time and manner for a recruit to be chewed out. I couldn't agree more to the opinion that that would just produce a bunch of wimps. As to "ladies less bone density and brains", I would rather have you kept those comments to yourself :-(

11. #10 Connie; You object to the truth? Then go play dollies
with DACOWITS and play your play-pretend games that GI Jane dolls are the same as GI Joe's. DACOWITS is the Defense Advisory Committee On Women In the Services which is in denial on the limitations of women and the damage they have done to the service academies' curriculum and physical training, as well as to the male bonding in the military. In a 1989 article I wrote on women in the services for "Amphibious Warfare Review" I also pointed out the damage to families in the military by military women who break up families en masse, turning husbands against wives to the point of divorce.

12. #10 Connie, cont'd: At NAS Miramar Clinic in 1977
alone, there were many marriages broken up by military women who wanted the men they worked with. There was a Navy First Class who abandoned his legal wife who just had a baby to marry an enlisted plain Jane who was good at fellacio. Then there was the Senior Chief there who divorced his wife and mother of his children for a Navy slut. Then there was the pilot who wanted a gorgeous enlisted corpswave who was so promiscuous that the pharmacy wrapped her oral contraceptive containers in rolls of scotch tape as a practical joke. Then there were the three corpswaves who took in a male sailor because having sex twice a week was not enough for them; so marriage did not appeal to them. They needed a live-in stud in addition to their boyfriends. How is all this promiscuity making the US military stronger? It's not. It ismaking it weaker. I suggest you read the book "Weak Link: The Femininization of the American Military" if DACOWITS has not purchased and burned all the copies.

As I alluded to in my TB, I believe for the most part women should stay out of the military. I also believe military women have a part to play as well. The radical feminists have done a lot of damage to families. Don't just blame women for the adultery and fornication of the people you mentioned. Lust begins in the heart for both sexes. Matt. 5:28
Connie ,   VA. USA   (09.26.07)
14. #13 Connie: At least when the men lusted after each other,
that did not break up marriages. Sir Winston Churchill said British Navy traditions are "sodomy, rum and the lash." Increasing the percentage of women in the US military to 20 % except for the US Marine Corps which has 4% women has changed that to "fornication, sodomy, rum, and the lash." There are a lot of places for women in the military in medical, clerical, and non-combat technical support. The cowardly men of America who oppose a draft have forced this situation in the military because without a draft, only that many women will fill the volunteer billets. It is corrupting for the women as well as for the men. But as the tb above says, he had good memories of the Navy and still has Navy friends from his Navy years.
(09.26.07)
15. #8 Jellybean: I tried to answer your tb, but it was not
printed. I am glad you enjoyed your Navy years. Perhaps men are more likely to have happier memories. If the men of America were not such cowards, it would not be necessary to have 20% of the military services female, except fo the US Marine Corps which has 4% women. The women tend not to stay in and only one per cent stay in for a 20 year career which means the US Government does not get a fair return on its training cost investment in women soldiers, sailors, airwomen and marines. But what is the country to do with all the cowardly males who want mothers of young children and babies to fight the wars for the males who are not worthy of the name man. Solomon said only one man in a thousand is worthy of the name MAN. Those men are in the US military or have served time in the military in my opinion.
Rivkah   (09.26.07)
16. Connie: Lust does indeed begin in the heart, but what does
the Bible say to do? FLEE YOUTHFUL LUSTS AND FORNICATION. Have you ever been in a job you CANNOT QUIT? That is the US Military. You cannot quit and you cannot flee fornication. A US Navy Nurse was raped in the hall of a hospital by an enlisted who was not found guilty of raping the nurse, even with witnesses to the assault. She was the senior so she was considered to be at fault SOMEHOW. When US women GI's are gangraped by UN troops under UN commanding officers of foreign nations, there aren't even trials. The women are transferred and told to say nothing. Call Colonel Elmer Jim Ammerman of Dallas, Texas if you do not believe me. THE COWARDLY MALES OF AMERICA WHO WILL NOT SERVE IN THE MILITARY FOR EVEN A FEW YEARS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR A LOT OF PROBLEMS IN THE MILITARY TODAY. When a burglar attacks their homes, do doubt they send their wives downstairs with a gun while they cower in the bedroom with the babies. GUTLESS MALES.
